  5. Melrose 13 is an Primarily Mexican & Afro-Latino Street Gang Located in Western Vinewood. Their hood is split into two sections due to the Melrose Hills Shopping District running through a small portion of the southern section of their hood. The northern section of their hood is located in the Melrose Hills district and it extends from 110th Street to 113th Street near Hawick Avenue and is referred to as Lonely Side. The southern section is known as Tiny Side. Which earned it's name from the fallen member and big homie Oriol a/k/a Tiny mKenace Soriano and its located within the Alta district with their territory stretches from 23rd Street to 25th Street around Power Street. They are originally from the bay area, starting out as the 3rd before migrating to Los Santos in the mid-2000s after the events of Operation: "Bulldog" unfolded “The violence, drug-dealing, and other criminal acts being committed in our communities by gangsters associated with the 3rd Street Famila are being met with the strongest possible response by law enforcement,” said Acting United States Attorney DeShawn Dickerson. “We will continue to investigate, arrest and prosecute these individuals to the fullest extent of the law to restore a sense of safety to so many neighborhoods that have felt the impact of their destructive conduct.” An indictment was unsealed in federal court charging members of a San Fierro-based street enterprise tied to the Mexican cartel with drug trafficking, money laundering, and various firearm offenses. According to the indictment and other publicly filed documents, over the last several years, the 3rd Street Bullies began developing a relationship with the Madrazo Crime Family to smuggle methamphetamine across the international border concealed in hidden compartments in various vehicles such as boats, vans, and motorcycles. The defendants used commercial delivery services like FedEx and UPS and moving rental services like U-Haul and Penske to distribute the product to dozens of distributors in Santa Flora and throughout the State of San Andreas. In return, tens of thousands of dollars in narcotics proceeds were returned to the gang via shipments of bulk cash, structured cash deposits into bank accounts, and money transfer systems like MoneyGram, Western Union, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App. Despite their sophisticated efforts, law enforcement successfully penetrated "3rd Street's" defenses with a variety of investigative techniques, including physical surveillance, obtaining phone records and financial documents, undercover agents, search warrants, as well as a six-month federal wiretap to intercept the communications and track the locations of the defendants. “Today we have dealt a serious blow to the very core of the 3rd Street Familia,” said Acting United States Attorney DeShawn Dickerson “The intersection of drug dealing and gun possession inevitably leads to violence in our communities. By dismantling this crew of criminals, the Department of Justice reaffirms its unwavering commitment to reducing violent crime and building a San Fierro where all our citizens are safe.” Tiny Side Raskalz In 2016, Rafel Alverez a/k/a NitemKare #3k older's sister was murdered in cold blood in the Mirror Park district of Vinewood due to her boyfriend's gang affiliation. The killer was never found as it seemed that LSPD just ignored the situation. The news changed Bishop's life for the worst. He moved in with his Tiny Side affiliate and close friend Nora Cuevas a/k/a Sad Girl and his mother. While attending school at Hawick High, the duo began to sell narcotics in small quantities around the Melrose Hills area. Nora has a good relationship with his cousin Rafel Alverez a/k/a NitemKare He would begin to front the duo with larger quantities of narcotics and they'd begin to move them in a larger area, drifting into the districts of Alta and Hawick to make their sales. With the influx of cash the duo were receiving, they began addressing themselves as the Tiny Side Raskalz. They also began to perform home invasions around this time. Fast forward three months later, Nora, Rafel, and Luis Varela a/k/a Lil Loko had a lick set up in Little Seoul. they would wait until the sun went down and headed towards the eastside of Vinewood. Rafel and Benjamin snuck around back and slipped through the sliding doors as Luis awaited their return in the vehicle. After about five minutes inside, the duo heard sirens in the distance that seemed to be approaching quickly. They ran outside, hopped in the vehicle, and skirted off. Police had already arrived on the scene and a 40-minuter chase would ensue, ending in Luis crashing the vehicle and the trio would be arrested. They would be charged with Home Invasion, Evading a Peace Officer x2, and resisting Arrest. All three men were sentenced to three years in Bolingbroke Penitentiary. They can be seen wearing just about anything but their sportswear of choice comes from the Milwaukee Brewers baseball club. After their releases, all three would make their return to Melrose Hills and continue the same activities that got them locked up in the first place. Returning to jail wasn't an issue for them nor was it even a thought. They needed to get back all the time they lost and even though that's not possible, that didn't stop the trio from hustling from daybreak 'til nightfall, soon looking as if they never missed a beat. They occupy a small area located in the Tiny side portion of the hood. Diewood Lokote's In 2010, Unai Sabater a/k/a mKenace, saul Ayerbe a/k/a Sad Boy & Adin Ascaso a/k/a SmKiley would take what was left of the 3rd Street Familia and relocate from Santa Flora, San Fierro to the westside of Vinewood, Los Santos. They would touch down in the Melrose Hills district and change the name of the crew from the 3rd Street Familia to Melrose 13. Most of the individuals who end up joining Melrose 13 all share the same dire need for money and respect so as usual, history repeats itself. This new generation of 3rd Street primary source of income came from home invasions and the drug trade. They quickly became a problem for not only the LSPD but also the surrounding gangs in the area. Due to a shopping district located on the edge of their hood, Bully Gang was able to flood the market, snatching up all the clientele as they came through the main strip and for good prices. It made it hard for the gangs to make any money on the block, causing angry within the various sets. They shot up the LSPD’s Gang and Narcotics board as they became their number one priority on the northside. They are known to rock Baltimore Ravens and Fresno State Bulldogs sportswear as well as Detroit Tigers apparel. Deuce Five Poor Boys The 25th Street Poor Boys is a small coalition of the younger members of the Melrose 13. The group was founded by Adam Alverez a/k/a Tiny Gordo who decided to move away from the rest of the hood after a small argument between the two and one of the higher-ranking members from Tiny Side Raskalz Many rumors have spread across the hood as to why they decided to move to Alta but no one knows the true answer. The group is known for its heavy input in the scamming game in Los Santos. The majority of the members spend most of their time trying to find the newest method to make large amounts of money to put towards things such as guns, designer clothes, drugs, and flashy cars. But when the word got out that Lil Loko's best friend Joker was gunned down outside of his grandmother's restaurant Luis would take that the worst. He would turn to Marc Avila a/k/a Lefty for a way to get back in favor of Gordo by any means necessary and from that point forward, the Deuce Five Poor Boys would be a dangerous threat to anyone that got in their way. They usually wear Los Angeles Angels and Oakland A's sportswear although they can be spotted in Detroit Tigers apparel just like Diewood.
