  1. TANKER FIRE TAKES ONE LIFE 23rd of February, 2022 LSFD Public Relations Member Jennifer Schneider SENORA FREEWAY - Firefighters prevented a tanker fire from spreading but could not save the driver trapped inside. At 19:52 on February 22nd, 2022, the Los Santos Fire Department responded to a fire inside a tunnel on Braddock Pass, Senora Freeway. Engine 2 and Truck 2 crews entered the tunnel from the north-western side, Engine 6 from the southern side, and all companies started with a defensive attack. Engine and Truck crews encountered excessive smoke after the ventilation system was reported not working. Engine 2 and Truck 2 crews found a tanker on the southern side that was involved with heavy fire. All crews immediately started a defensive approach. Approximately 20 minutes into the fire attack, all crews reported rising temperatures inside the tunnel. Incident command ordered all crews to evacuate the tunnel along with vehicles to suppress further damage. At 20:33, the ventilation system was turned on again by Engine's 6 crew and all remaining crews entered the tunnel, resuming the fire attack. Engine 6 company approached the tanker from the southern side and located Acetone inside the tanker. The crew immediately switched to foam and suppressed the fire. A short time later, firefighters located a driver outside the tanker. Sadly, the driver was determined deceased on the scene. The rescue crew provided oxygen therapy to one firefighter, no other injuries were reported. More than 10 firefighters, under the command of Battalion Chief Clarke MacKay, knocked down the fire in 77 minutes. Their quick work prevented the fire from extending further inside and damaging the tunnel. The remaining Acetone was neutralized and transferred to another tanker. Positive identification of the dead driver, as well as the time, and manner of their death, will be determined by the Los Santos County Office of Medical Examiner-Coroner. The fire's cause remains the focus of a joint active investigation by the San Andreas State Fire Marshals. Incident Photo Album Units Dispatched: E2, E6, E1, T2, RA31, RA823, PIO, PR1, BC2

  3. FIRE CONSUMES GENERATORS IN RANCHO SUBSTATION 14th of February, 2022 LSFD Public Relations Member Jennifer Schneider LOS SANTOS - Heavy fire swiftly blew through a medium-sized substation, causing electricity issues during evening hours in Rancho. The Los Santos Fire Department was notified by two 9-1-1 calls at 20:40 on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 of a structure fire at Little Bighorn Avenue in Rancho. Firefighters arrived quickly to find generators involved with fire inside a substation. The rapid spread of intense flames within the substation guided first-arriving firefighters to quickly commence defensive operations, applying multiple large hose streams from the exterior, including one from atop extended aerial ladder, to prevent flames from extending beyond the substation walls. Aurum Energy has been informed about the emergency and their employees quickly arrived at the scene. While gathering information and instructions about the power generators on fire from Aurum Energy employees, another fire was reported by Truck 2 company just north of the substation, on Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. When the Engine 6 company arrived, they found a small bush fire slowly extending forward. Engine 6 quickly dealt with the fire, rejoining the remaining companies in the main substation fire. Engine 2 crew entered the substation and with instructions from Aurum Energy employees turned off both terminals, shutting the power generators off at 21:47. One minute later, all crews resumed the fire attack with a defensive approach. All three companies battled the fire for 86 minutes before EMS Division Chief Patrycja Lipska declared a knockdown. No injuries were reported. Monetary loss from the fire is still being tabulated. The cause of this fire is under active investigation by the San Andreas State Fire Marshals. More information about the current situation with power in the area can be found here. Incident Photo Album Units Dispatched: EMS1, E2, T2, E6, PR4
  4. SMALL PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING ON SANDY SHORES AIRFIELD 13th of February, 2022 LSFD Public Relations Member Jennifer Schneider SANDY SHORES - A small plane had to perform an emergency landing on the Sandy Shores Airfield after the landing gear got jammed. The Los Santos Fire Department was summoned at 20:08 on February 11th, 2022 for an incoming Mayday call from Sandy Shores, where firefighters arrived quickly by ground to prepare the runway for a safe emergency landing. The pilot had radioed to nearby Sandy Shores Airfield minutes earlier that he will need to make an emergency landing after reporting issues with the landing gear. San Andreas Park Rangers along with the Los Santos Police Department closed the airfield and held a perimeter alongside the runway. After preparing the landing zone for the airplane and gathering all resources, a contact was established with the pilot. The pilot confirmed that he was the only person on board. The airplane made three flyovers to get familiar with the landing zone and to get prepared for the final landing. 20 minutes later, the plane approached the runway and successfully landed in the landing zone previously set up by Engine 4 and CRASH 1 crews. Upon landing, the pilot was responsive and reported the door being jammed. Engine 4 and CRASH 1 crews quickly approached the plane with foam, starting defensive operation accompanied by Engine 2. Rescue 23 was staging nearby, waiting for the patient to be extricated from the plane. Approximately 3 minutes after the landing, the front part of the plane caught fire. All three crews quickly and swiftly dealt with the fire, with a "knockdown" being confirmed 2 minutes after the ignition. Engine crews proceeded with the extraction and one male was examined for injury by LSFD Paramedics, desiring hospital care following the landing and fire-related injuries. There were no other injuries. That well-coordinated effort by more than 10 LSFD responders under the command of Fire Captain Reinhart, had the plane under control in one hour and 22 minutes, limiting fire damage to the plane. The circumstances leading up to this emergency landing are under active investigation from the SAAA. Incident Photo Album Units Dispatched: E2, E4, CRASH1, RA23, BP2, CM22, PR4
  5. +1 we really need this. It's very unrealistic to call the hotline using your name, phone number, etc just to rob drivers. I was robbed yesterday just like that. They used their real phone number and real name just to rob me. It is kinda demotivating because it's happening all the time. Now you have to go to the bank and store everything before accepting another ride. And even if you don't carry anything, they'll still rob you.
  6. Also, it'd be cool to remove /taxi command. Because 8 out of 10 people will cancel their order right after you accept it. There is an app on phones or direct number, so it's not needed.
  7. This or at least add liveries from this pack on Vapid Taxi that we already have ig, if it's possible.
  8. We need this for sure! +1
  9. This is a good idea and the script should be improved or updated. Also, they should add to the guide for new players on the server how to call a taxi, because 9 out of 10 new players just rent a car at the rental place without proper licenses. Taxi calls are super rare and it's sad. And you can roleplay in your own vehicle, just do /taxistart in a taxi and then move to your personal vehicle. I was told there is no issue with this as long as it's roleplayed properly.
