Like many have mentioned above, you need to be useful, be it as muscle, a business connection, white collar schemes, whatever. You also need to stick around and actively involve yourself. Most OCG factions tend to have a revolving door at the "lower levels" people come because they see XYZ on the thread, they stick around for a few days or even a couple weeks, they don't get XYZ instantly, they leave. So you need to be around, show face and build social relationships with whoever is around from the faction. Also, speak to the senior memebers ooc, ask for help with whatever you wonder, they tend to be very helpful, be it with help on how to portray your character, what times they're active, etc.

But check your settings.xml, make sure your Reflection_mipblur are set to "true" Also ensure you're on the latest drivers for the new GPU, does this issue occur in any other game or just GTA 5? What specs do you currently have on your PC. Also check if you're running DirectX 10 or 11, if you're running 10, go to eleven.
