  5. ???????? ???????? ( 26/OCT/2013 - Moscow ) Name: Valeriya Zherdeva DOB: 17/APRIL/1990 Gender: Female Height: 5' 9'' Weight: 154 lbs Languages: English | Russian BACKGROUND: My first inkling that my family was different came when I was six and found a gun hidden under my dad's bed. I knew he'd served in the 'Eritrean War of Independence' and assumed it was from then. I even told friends how proud I felt: my father, the brave soldier. A teacher overheard me talking about the gun and quietly mentioned it to my parents. Dad told me, "What goes on in our family stays behind these walls. We don't ever talk about it to anyone else." I remember wondering why it was such a big secret, but it didn't feel strange; it was just the way we did things. Everyone knew my dad, and even as a young child, I could sense he was important. When he entered a room, the energy changed. People would rush over to shake his hand and kiss his cheek. He made time for them all, lending money and buying them groceries if they were struggling. One day, when I was about 13, Dad sat me down in the kitchen. He told me I would probably start hearing some things about his life and he wanted to explain it in the best way he knew how. He told me some men in Russia had formed a secret group and vowed always to protect each other and their families – even if it meant stealing or hurting other people. Then he told me he was part of that same group here in Los Santos. It didn't sound scary to me – it was nice to know we were being looked after. My mother was a shy, quiet woman who'd married Dad just before her 18th birthday. She was old-fashioned and loyal, steadfastly standing by her man and never asking questions – the perfect mafia wife. As the years passed, Dad's business grew. We moved to a bigger house in an expensive suburb and I went to a private school. Mostly it was children of wealthy lawyers, doctors, and businessmen. That's when I began to realize how different we were. For a start, Dad didn't look like the other fathers. He had tattoos on his arms, wore flashy jewelry and swore a lot. But I didn't find it awkward – I thought he was cool. I knew the mafia were accused of crimes, from murder to racketeering, but I was too young to understand what it meant and I couldn't reconcile that gangster image with my father. What I know now is he was living two lives: at home, he was the doting husband and father, but he was also rising up the ranks of the Russian organized crime family. Sometimes I'd come downstairs and find Dad sitting by himself in the dark. I'd make a joke, then Dad would start chatting away as if nothing was wrong, though we both knew it was. It was just our way of dealing with the things we couldn't talk about. I guess Dad thought he was protecting us – what we didn't know couldn't hurt us – r maybe he just didn't want us to know about that side of his character. When I was 19, everything changed. The FBI was closing in on Dad and he'd agreed to testify against high-ranking mob members in return for a shorter sentence for his own crimes. I was horrified. We'd always had it drummed into us never to "grass" on people: when my brother and I fought as children, we'd both be punished – one for fighting, the other for telling. Now I felt Dad had betrayed us all and I refused to move with my family when they joined the witness protection program. The head was meant to drive”― Mario Puzo “Everything revolved around money and power while she was just a mere piece of the equation.”― Anna Widzisz, Innocent

  6. The Bloods were originally formed in the city of Los Santos during the 1970's to protect neighborhoods from rival gangs and anti-civil rights protests. After the introduction of crack-cocaine in the 1980's the Bloods along with other gangs became central drug shops and middlemen for large-quantity suppliers. Bounty Hunters is one of the earliest blood sets of the Bloods gang. The East Side Bounty Hunter Bloods, formerly known as the Green Jackets, started around 1970/1971 and were firmly established by 1972 in Davis district of Los Santos, San Andreas. The Bounty Hunters have been gaining more affiliates and have gained territory around Grove Street. The set shows dominance in the neighborhood which they operate in. Significant growth in membership is noticed by the residents of Davis teenagers who are being influenced to come to pledge their fealty to the gang. Bounty Hunter Bloods are known for their criminal activities such as murders, assaults, drug trafficking, smuggling and robberies. Here at E/S Bounty Hunter Bloods we tend to bring a realistic atmosphere of gang roleplay to the area we roleplay in. As a faction we will not condone rule breakers, or anyone skipping development and trying to force their way to make a character that just isn't realistic. The faction is heavily based around character development and the lives of our members that live in a gang infested area that at any time they could be dead or in jail. There is a screenshot permission required to post on this thread that can be gained through our discord server. Our area of roleplay is located in Grove Street and surroundings. Any questions or concerns about the said faction or players in the faction can be sent to either Roller and or Topiyo. If you are aiming to roleplay your way into the faction, PM your CK permissions to myself (Roller) entitled FIRSTNAME LASTNAME - CHARACTER KILL AGREEMENT in the following format: I, Firstname_Lastname (Forum Name) accept that the leadership of E/S Bounty Hunter Bloods can character kill me at any given time for in character events. 8. Repost - this seems to have been forgotten about and never started 2 years ago. This is a suggestion revolving around both: Scripted jobs and Property Management. I recently came across a really simple and doable idea that will promote roleplay, as well as different methods of acquiring money. Farms, there is one major farm in GTA V, out in Blaine County, in Single-player, the farm Trevor blows up. My idea is very simple, and the following: • Only allow people to own farms if: - The proposed owner needs to send in their pitch for the reasoning behind owning it as well as their intents. - The person also agrees to provide jobs and hire people on the farm. - The person can hire people either temporarily for X hours or full time. How is this possible? GTA V has tractors, (2 kinds, one is a 1900s looking tractor, another is more modern.) GTA V has trailers! I had the idea of a few different jobs. One of the fields has apples, hence, picking apples! This trailer can be attached! Another is raking the fields, turning the soil for fermentation purposes, this trailer can be attached! The way that it'd be worth for the property owners: Introduce a ratio of which the worker : land owner is paid, for example: • 60% : 40% ratio of Land owner to Worker payment, the land owner receives the larger half - for obvious reasons. The tractors referenced: Leading on from the original suggestion: • Introduce a separate job, which could be done by either the farm owner or anyone he permits: -To be able to sell harvested apples or wheat or anything to markets and gain money from doing so. -Open stalls for PLAYERS to buy the PRODUCTS, such as apples and other delicacies, fruits, and more. -Close down the supply shop where you can buy wheat and whatnot while the player's market / stall is open, forcing RP. TLDR; 1. Farm owner sends in pitch for ownership and intents. 2. He'll then hire farm hands. 3. Farm hands will work on the fields (Planting, fertilizing, harvesting, whatever else farms do) 4. Once enough grain / product / whatever is gathered, the farm hands will either sell to the shop in Grapeseed or to players. This reinforces new roleplay opportunities between players and also a brand new way to roleplay in the county.

  9. Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese sailor who from 1519-1522, led the first circumnavigation of the globe. The Los Santos street of his namesake begins at the south part of Bay City Avenue and heads northwest, parallel to Vespucci Beach Sidewalk, until it merges with the Del Perro Freeway. The great European migration to the United States between 1880-1924 brought more than 4 million Italian immigrants to the nation's shores, many of whom quietly assimilated into American society. Others, however, built their own neighbourhoods within the nation's cities. The traditions left by the first generation of Italian migrants remain alive today in vibrant Italian-American communities across America. Visitors to these areas discover a rich heritage that remains remarkably intact to this day. In Los Santos, Magellan Avenue is well known throughout the city for its Italian-American community and culture, being dubbed by some as Los Santos' very own "Little Italy".

  12. Out of Character With this faction, our aim is to portray the formation, progression and operation of an Italian-American organised crime group. Our primary aim is to allow progression to happen in-character; minimising OOC input is of paramount importance to us. Where possible, we will seek to keep the amount of OOC knowledge about this faction and its characters to a minimum. As part of this endeavour, contribution posts to this thread will consist predominantly of screenshots without text, with the goal being to minimise the risk of inciting metagame through our posts. Ideally, we would like players' knowledge and opinions of us to be forged in-game and in-character, rather than the traditional method of using our faction thread as a window into our roleplay. PM @753 BC for an invite to our Discord where you can find further information. Permission to post screenshots on our thread is required. This will be discussed upon joining. We do not allow OOC recruitment. Pointers and guidelines on how to find us in-character will be given in our Discord server, but we will not make special pre-determined arrangements to facilitate your engagement with us. Upon joining, you accept that the leadership reserve the right to character kill your character. If you have any comments, concerns or questions, please send them to @753 BC

  17. I believe that there's a lot that can be done and said about the quality of crime and illegal roleplay in general but at the end of the day the quality doesn't just come from the criminal and gang roleplayers themselves, a part of it also comes from the quality of roleplay from other factors that are thrust towards those people. You could have the most amazing criminal roleplayer who has fleshed out and developed a character, someone who fully thinks and takes their actions into consideration when they're roleplaying but if you put a robo cop, a ditzy civilian or any kind of "bad roleplayer" with them things aren't going to work out. The scenario and quality of the roleplay comes down to everyone involved at the end of the day and in most cases both parties in these interactions will be left with a sour taste in their mouth because either one side just downright can't roleplay properly and they're been given the opportunity to have a good experience but they have a lack of commitment to what they're doing and the other side will get a tilted mind frame because "I'm not breaking any rules, this guy just doesn't want to roleplay with me and is trying to cut it short." However, all of this can be applied to any side of roleplay in general, just thought I'd put it down since there's always more than one side to bad experiences. Moving onto the more specific factors that relate to gang roleplay and I'll start with the shootouts and "mass DM" that have occurred. I think a lot of the time when this happens it's because of two factors, mainly being that people don't think before they act and how easily accessible it is. People find it easier to just aim and shoot at someone rather than going into the detail of having a fight and this in turn makes everyone else involved in gang roleplay move to the gun because if they don't then they have no chance to defend themselves. Would you rather run and get gunned down every time or arm yourself and give yourself a chance to protect what you hold? There's no wrong answer to that question but it also throws out the "play to win" stigma. Some people get a kick out of shooting to get a kill, it is a game after all and it's one of the main mechanics in the game so yes people are going to want to use it as often as they possibly can, however this kind of mentality needs to be weeded out. The second part comes down to how well someone can connect themselves to a scenario and the thinking process behind what you're about to do. I get the feeling that a lot of people toss away the civilian portion of being a gang member, you're still a human being at the end of the day and you do the things that everyday average joes do. It's not all about holding guns, selling drugs and getting drunk with the homeboys. You have parents, you have a family, you have personal needs and things you need to do and a lot of that isn't put into some of these characters, they're there for the gang aspect and that's all they want to do. For gangs who roleplay in close quarters they need to think deeper than the things that are on the surface - that person you're about to shoot? There's a good chance you've gone to school with them, there's a chance that you were friends at one point during schooling, there's a chance that you've competed together or against each other at community center events, fuck there's even a chance that you could be related to them in one way or another. With all of those factors in place would you really want to kill that person? Has that person killed someone who you were extremely close to? Has that person actually hurt you? Or are you just trying to get the virtual W for you and your buddies because it gives you a warm and fuzzy inside? If the answer to these questions is no then you're better off putting it down to a g-check and move on with some healthy beef. I've probably gone off on a tangent here and ranted on a bit so TL;DR: Remove the "play to win" mentality from shootouts: Serious consequences toward those who are known to shoot first, question later. Heavier IC punishments for people caught using firearms, I believe this is already being worked on with the new prison system. Heavier OOC "punishments" for being caught in a firearm based beef, possibly OOC character cool downs or something after a death caused by a firearm. Basically just remove some of the "fun" aspects of using a gun, remove the "fun" from a mechanic and people are likely to move onto something else. Weaponry: If you're a supplier look at the faction/person you're considering supplying to and ask yourself if you believe they'd use the guns in a reasonable manner, don't think of your e-cash first. If you're a faction leader or someone in the faction who is in a position of power to hand out or sell guns to people in your faction just re-read the first point. YOU, yes, yourself. If you see your buddy or someone in your faction fucking around and pulling out their gun at every chance they can just because they want that W have a chat to them or let your faction leader know. Fuck ruining other peoples experience and possibly your own because you don't want to "snitch" out someone. Learn, know and help: Learn what you're going to be roleplaying, do some research on the potential gang you're going to be portraying if it's something you've never done before. If you're someone with experience in the roleplay that you're currently doing and see someone not doing it quite right pull them up and give them a hand, no one is going to have a fun time if they don't know what they're doing or if people allow them to get away with doing the wrong things, they're just going to be laughed at and ridiculed because they're doing it wrong. Reach out and help these people and you'll find their quality of RP will begin to match your own. THINK: Think about the scenarios you're going to be getting into and flesh out the pros vs cons. If you see a rival gang member walking down the street on their own and you're three deep, do you really need to shoot at them or inflict actual physical harm? Or would you rather check them, let them know they've been caught lacking and have them become a laughing stock? Only put roleplay on other people that you would like done to yourself, don't ruin their experience because you want to feel big. Also just as an extra;

  21. Feature Showcase: Hair Tattoos Information Hair tattoos serve as an addition to add to the existing character customization options. Along with the standard hairstyles which are widely available, you now have the option to choose one or more of these hair decorations that stick under the hairstyle onto the scalp. There are different variations for each gender, the system accounts for that and gives you the proper options. . Usage The first option has a small description and displays how that specific decoration looks on the character. Whenever you decide that you want a specific hair tattoo you simply navigate to "Add" below and press Enter. That includes it into a "wanted list" and from that point on it will stick onto the scalp. You can go back up and repeat the process, you can add as many hair tattoos as you see fit in order to give your character a unique look. If you can keep track of which hair tattoo(s) you have added you can navigate to the corresponding description(s) and select "Remove". That would remove that specific one from the said "Wanted List", on the other hand you could select the "Clear" option and start over. In the end, all that's left to do is complete the purchase and from that point on it will stick to the chosen outfit(s).
