Los Santos Insider introduces "Stringer Operations" for full-time, part-time, and freelanced journalists & photographers.

 

Full-Time / Part-Time Stringers

Instead of traditional stringer definition, the Insider has modernized a way to allow itself to focus on in-house content. With the introduction of two Stringer vehicles (Buffalo, Vapid Scout) for employees, this promotes our journalists and photographers to scan the City (and County) for all sorts of content, information, and on-scene reporting. Our full-time and part-time stringers receive a base salary, bonus incentive programs, and provided all modern equipment to get the job done. Stringing for the Insider full-time can be achieved by applying as a Journalist or Photographer.

 

Freelance Stringers

Sticking to tradition, the Insider will allow freelance journalists and photographers submit their content to our outlet with the ability of being paid for it. Instead of receiving a salary, the freelancer submits their content, photos, and/or written work to the outlet directly. This allows the Insider to review the contents and offer financial compensation for their work without being tied to the outlet directly or employed. Freelance Stringers can negotiate the price, or offer the outlet a price for the content, which the Insider will consider if the content is coverage worthy.

 

Los Santos Insider: Stringer Division

After obtaining vehicles specifically for Stringing, you will start noticing slick black vehicles around the city - primarily in hotspot areas such as South Los Santos, Vespucci, Little Seoul, El Burro, and even the County. The objective is to find active scenes of crime, disaster, or social issues related to the locality to scout content for our outlet. At times our journalist(s) or photographer(s) may be wearing MEDIA KEVLAR if in a "Danger Zone" outlined for our Safety Risk Team. In addition, our Stringer vehicles are outfitted with bright orange LED lights to display their presence as neutral media personnel, primarily used during dangerous scenes or in the event Official Media must be recognized by Government, LEO, or Fire Officials. 

 

The Insider currently utilizes the following vehicles:

 

• Vapid Scout Security Slicktop (Orange LED Light Bars/Strobes, Enforced Windows and Doors)

• Bravado Buffalo Security Package (Orange LED Strobes, Enforced Windows and Doors)

• Modern News Van (Enforced Windows and Doors)

The Los Santos Insider has introduced a "Tip Line" which has been integrated into our Insider Portal (( Discord )) which gets sent directly to our team of journalists, photographers, and Management to promote transparency when dealing with anonymous tips. You can submit a tip anonymously, or provide your information for a follow up call in regards to your submission. Your tip is automatically sent to our Insider Portal, where it can be seen by our entire team.
