croozerdog
Literally the only reason I have windows dualboot is to play GTAW. GTA 5 works flawlessly, but something during injecting RageMP it goes wrong. If I try to connect to GTAW, GTA 5 just boots normally, after validating server assets. I wonder if any ubernerd has found a workaround. i use arch btw Link to comment
croozerdog
I tried playonlinux, steam's proton and regular Wine. All run GTA 5, none can get the injection to work. Edited August 26, 2022 by croozerdog Link to comment

You could install through wine, but Easy Anti-Cheat would have a stroke about it being ran like that. People *HAVE* gotten flagged by anti cheats before for using Wine, Proton, etc. And we all know EAC causes more issues than it solves. I'd be willing to mess around on my Linux environment to see if I can get around it, if an admin would be willing to lift any auto-detected cheating flags I'd get hit with due to this. The only reason why I'm running Windows on my gaming PC is basically for this server, so if anyone could find a EAC workaround, that would be awesome. 2 Link to comment

Jeroen
I managed to get RageMP installed, but I couldn't manage to get RageMP started. At least I got GTA:V working easily, so that'll be fun to play on the go. Link to comment

Same exact problem 😞 I use Linux on my main PC and having a whole partition for windows, gta 5 and rage is just a bit sad. Link to comment
Jeroen
I managed to get RAGE working on my Steam Deck however it doesn't hook into GTA:V properly, so it just launches the normal game. Link to comment
Junx
Why don't you just dual boot windows? Link to comment
