escorts are illegal in the USA (Unless you add a video camera to the equation and call it porn shooting)

these ads in general shouldn't show up in news papers/aired by ad agencies since said businesses don't want to publish such obviously illegal things in their papers/ad breaks and be liable for fines

don't make this a thing, rather allow cops to trace down people writing ads like: "offering escort service"

The admin team has already said it's against the rules and should be reported

make it an IC issue. reported ads and admin warnings won't make much diff

add a 6hr jailtime to it for solliciting and make it incredibly convenient for cops to trace down these ppl and the issue will solve itself 🤷‍♂️

I actually used to play an escort too, and these ads were a giant issue.

Not just because it goes against the rules, but because it completely destroyed that rp. Either you advertised or got no rp. If anything the ads took the rp outta something that should be more discreet

It's the same reason drug deal ads are against the rules

You can't make ads that cover for illegal shit either

We live in an era where searching for work is against the rules yet being an escort and looking for clients is fine

We live in an era where both are banned when irl both are allowed in different websites/newspapers

I mean an “escort for hire” ad doesn’t really affect anyone unless you willingly participate. Those ads I don’t really care about. Honestly, I think it would be cool to do a little escort sting as a detective and bust these people IC. Hell it would give them something different to do.

Aside from that, I wouldn’t mind a filter for 18+. It gives people the choice if they want to see those ads or not. This wouldn’t hurt anyone. It’ll just make the ad system more customizable. All for it.

This was an issue before, hence why the rules were put in place. They enforced it for like 3 days and there was an immediate improvement. From my understanding, the rule really targets ads looking FOR escorts (There were quite a few creepily specific ones) but I also remember it effecting escort agencies as well. Basically any ad that was overtly sexual and/or were clearly escort/prostitutions rings got punished. I think it's just time to crack the whip again, it'll get things back under control.

I'm gonna be honest, most of the things you mentioned I don't really have a problem with as long as they aren't overly sexual. Anybody who's listen to the radio or watched cable TV in the US after 1:00AM can tell you you'll see a number of ads for your local stripclub, porno shop or phone sex line. While I or you might not enjoy what are basically ERP driven businesses, they have every right to advertise and probably of all businesses would have the most issues if they were suddenly not allowed to do so. Obviously however, they should be required to do so in somewhat good taste.

Yes it affected agencies as well. but i believe that was a good thing. For the longest time it was either you were in an agency or got no rp other than  being attacked on the streets.

However i think it took what was intended to be a down on your luck job and corporatized it. not to mention it literally is against the rules. It worked for a while but its time to start reporting it ig again
