Powley
TALES FROM TIMBER-TOWN Traditional role-playing is done via pen and paper with games such as Dungeons and Dragons. You sit down with friends and use your imagination, with someone giving you a scenario and what the environment is like, focusing on your creativity. There isn’t a single point of origin where this role-playing branched off into the live-action variety, but it’s likely a culmination of historical reenactments, theatre and stage combat becoming more acceptable, using the culmination of role-playing becoming more popular in general to create LARPing. LARPing is traditionally performed in some sort of costume, regardless of whether the genre being fantasy, science fiction, or even horror. This is usually coordinated by a company, committee or even a dedicated individual that hosts these activities. The company, Lizards and Wizards Entertainment, currently hosts small events out in the forests in and around Paleto Bay and Sandy Shores. Set amongst the dense forests of Blackmoor, a humble, little village known as Timber Town finds itself in a curious predicament, with the forces of EVIL descending on the world. It’s up to our heroes, dressed in makeshift equipment from their parents' garage to fight back the curse that would surely consume Blackmoor, and their little town. This follows the story of our brave, bold heroes. 8 4 Link to comment
