  1. It would make sense for it to be on the outskirts and the location you suggest would be a good one. Supporting.
  2. Feeling the Chimera. If the Hotknife was to be added, it'd have to be restricted in some manner as there's no way the majority of the population would be driving one.
  3. I'll wait for further discussion, although I'm considering forwarding this. This should be something that would be do-able, right @Nervous?
  4. Yeah, I support this. It may be a little tough at the moment with the playercount being so low, but as the server grows we should be striving to make as many jobs 'for the player' as opposed to completely script.
  5. Congratulations all, looking forward to joining the team.
  6. This is a great idea to help the community celebrate the festive season.
  7. Already suggested this in a rather long suggestion on pricing and realism of economy. The suggestion was met with a lot of hostility from business owners who feel it's cool to charge $500 to enter a business. It's definitely not. 100% supporting this, there's plenty of other ways for businesses to make money.

    LSRP.

Left LSRP shortly before joining this community after a solid 9 years. Had some amazing times on LSRP, met some great people and some not so great, but that's the nature of community. Enjoying my time here so far and feel that GTAW has huge potential.
  9. Knock at least a 0 off the end of all of those prices, I think that's a happy medium.
  10. Those prices are atrocious and astronomically overpriced. While I agree that these should be available in some kind of store, I do not agree with the absurd pricing.
  11. Shit faction, doesn't deserve. Only joking, congrats to us.
  12. More stability would be great and would definitely aid in improving on numbers. Let's hope either GTMP or RageMP works out.
  13. I spend far from all of my time on the server, but if I was to work as a bartender I definitely wouldn't expect $1500 for a couple of hours work. My point is, the main selling point of this server is it's realistic economy, therefore we should be striving for realistic fees and wages.
  14. Although I do see your point, I'm still inclined to believe that entry fees are far too high. Why are you paying someone $1500 dollars for 2 hours work when we're trying to keep a realistic economy going? Surely you'd pay a realistic wage? You could, for instance, put your employees on a day rate and any shift they work they get paid the same rate of $100 as an example. I guess it's a culture shift that's required. People need to stop expecting high wages for minimum wage real life jobs and start working for the roleplay. People should also understand that within roleplay you would be expected to pay for the non-scripted items that you use. Maybe we could get some sort of register system set up with a command that charges a customer when they purchase a drink IC. For instance, the customer orders a beer that is $8, the bar person types /servedrink [ID] 8 and the buyer is charged $8 for their drink, which goes into the business bank. That's another suggestion for another time, though.
  15. What is the point in a money sink when there's no way to abuse high paydays? I don't think leasing is particularly high and the cost of purchasing a business is considerably less that it has been on previous servers. The issue here is the current owners of certain businesses have transferred their mindset from one server to the next and are charging the same entry rate as they were on the previous unnamed server.
  16. When I first joined this community, just after the official launch of the server, I was happy to see that pricing and the economy was intended to be realistic and far from inflated. This excited me and was one of the main reasons I signed up and started playing. Inflation and overpricing was my biggest issue in past lives in other communities. With that being said, I feel that the economy still needs slight tweaks. Today, myself and a few of the guys I roleplay with ventured to The Vault. This is the first time I've been to The Vault and was looking forward to seeing what clubbing had to offer on this server, especially with a realistic entry fee. Upon approaching The Vault, I was shocked to see the entry price set at $500. Surely if we're aiming for a realistic economy with realistic prices, and with businesses being priced at a realistic rate and being sold for hundreds of thousands rather than tens of millions, we should be striving to keep entry prices and the like at a reasonable price. I can't say I'm particularly informed on nightclub entry fees within the USA, but I'd go so far as saying that I'm well educated on entry fees to nightclubs in the UK. I can categorically say that no one in their right mind for pay that kind of money to enter a bog standard nightclub, there needs to be compromise here. I think that businesses should have a governed minimum and maximum entry fee of a realistic nature and I think we can all agree that a maximum entry fee for a nightclub of $50 is fair. There are a few other items that I feel are still over priced, also. The list follows: Gas - The gas pricing is still way too high. A full tank of petrol in the UK is roughly £50-£60 and I'm pretty sure fuel in the US is considerably cheaper than it is over here in the UK. Bats, hammers, etc - These are all way over priced and should be available at a cut rate. A hammer in the real world costs around $20-$30 at maximum, and I'm confident bats are available at a similar price. Weapon prices and availability - Although I understand the reason for the slightly inflated price on weapons on the server, I feel that they should be far more readily available. Not for the reason of DM, but for the reason of a certain degree of realism. Weapons are very easily accessible in the US - Walmart sell firearms at a very reasonable rate. I feel this is something that could definitely be worked upon as we progress. There are other prices that I feel are slightly inflated, and I will add these as I go along, I feel this is a huge shame as it completely takes away from the fact that vehicle and house prices are so realistic. I'd welcome discussion on this whether you feel that my point is incorrect, or whether you agree with my point please contribute.
