  1. PRINT NAME & TITLE: Charles Galloway, Candidate for Mayor of Los Santos. SIGNATURE: SIGNING DATE: 2nd October 2020 COMMENT: Civili Liberties Pledge is something that the Democratic Party and myself wishes to sign. In our party manifesto we have a few paragraphs, pointing out how much the aforementioned civil liberties are important to us since the day the party was created. I am very happy to sign this additional pledge.
  2. A huge THANK YOU for those who supported us all the time. Kudos to our wonderful team!
  3. Username: DEMSquad Comment: We are not throwing judgement or underestimating someone's capabilities. We're reporting real facts. We respect everyone's stance but you got to take your own responsibility. We have an organized party with a solid legal team formed by professionals and experienced people: every "legal" offer undergoes to this team and gets reviewed carefully. However, I appreciate Republicans' attempt to move attention away from their LGBT's statement.
  4. Username: DEMSquad Comment: I do consider ridiculous the way Republicans try to hide their trash. Halford's sentence against LGBTQ+ has been transcripted word by word. At this point, just admit your fault, going any further is just digging your hole. How come your lawyer Saleh asked the Democratic Party for a 20.000$ "consultation fee" and once denied a cease&desist was forwarded? Republican party of Los Santos proves to be not ready for government, they don't even know what to do.
  5. OFFICIAL PARTY STATEMENT [LSDEM] Official response to DEM's campaign discredit The Democratic Party wishes to take this opportunity to respond to the Republic Party's press release entitled "LSGOP condemns slander campaign by LSDEMs." That press release contains the serious accusations which, given their gravity, warrant a response. The Democratic Party's campaign slogans are aligned with the truth; they are not assumptions, or misinformation. Chairman Oswald Halford, during their public meeting, and in response to a question specifically about marriage asking what the definition of marriage is, stated that "[t]hroughout the country you'll find chapters of the Republican Party, their opinions on the matter will vary." He then added that he personally "[saw] the traditional union of marriage as [between] man and woman." These words were spoken in public. They were not said in confidence, and so anyone was free to make references to that statement. The statement was also unambiguous. There's an implication that Mr. Halford would roll back the access to the institution of marriage and restrict it to the opposite-sex couples only in line with this belief. Read with due care, the comments in the advertisement and what they implied were fair. They were also constitutionally protected. First, while Mr. Halford did say he was speaking for himself, the question directed at him asked for the party's stance. Mr. Halford appeared to try to dodge the question by prefacing and personalizing his answer while knowing, perhaps uncomfortably, the Republican Party's terrible track record on the issue of LGBTQ inclusion, and not exclusive to LGBTQ, but also equal women's right, Planned Parenthood, Abortion Rights, and Pro Choice issues. While claiming to speak only for himself, Mr. Halford happened to reveal what that track record shows: that Republicans, by and large, believe in rollbacking the advances we made in the institution of marriage. What Mr. Halford did there was classic dog-whistle politics. Second, please note, our advertisement will show that it was speaking about the "Republican Party." Not a subset, or branch of it. Halford himself knows this. As Mr. Halford himself said, the Republican Party contains many chapters. For this reason, the cease-and-desist is baseless. Any proceedings based on it would not have withstood First-Amendment inspection in any event. The Democratic Party, and truly, any fair person, regardless of political color believes in a just political competition and campaigning. We remain devoted to holding ourselves to a high standard, but also remain vigilant against public statements that, in their attempt to pander to a demographic, attack another. And if the attack was against cis couples and families, our stance would be the same. The Democratic Party represents everyone, not just a few, or some. We are surprised and outraged to learn that the LSGOP would resort to threats, standing on what our Legal team finds it to be flimsy legal positions and careless reading; and not even taking account their own statements. Politics can be risky and every word should be weighted accordingly, which is something we must all recognize. We would like to add that we received an e-mail from Malikah Saleh, a lawyer for the Republican Party who also defended Alexander Orleans in his proceedings. Ms. Saleh tendered a $20 000 "consultation fee" to our executive team in exchange for information about the LSGOP's intentions prior the release of their official announcement against the advertisement in question. We obviously declined an offer of this kind as we suspected it would be against the very fairness of competition and campaigning that we have stated before. While the LSGOP had not yet retained Ms. Saleh when she submitted that memorandum, our legal team suspects that her act was underhanded. The Democratic Party wants no part in that. The Democratic Party is the first major party to embrace the much needed normalization for everyone's sexuality, identity. We thank you for that, for voicing this. Our diverse team is living proof to our commitment to the LGBTQ+ cause. We're striving to empower you and give you a voice in government. Our target is not putting our interests over yours. We appreciate all the love we received from our party supporter and future voters: you are the ones who makes us proud. Forward Together,
  6. Supporting this suggestion. I would love to see enhanced ATC and aviation roleplay in the server. However, if someone is interested in this environment but doesn't have enough money to afford an aircraft (which is quite usual) it's pointless to get an actual ATC. Most of the controlled traffic would be BAT (LSPD, LSSD) and HEMS (LSFD) and some spare GAT here and there, so probably only a class G airspace assignment would fit the server, nothing more. If server's management accepts the idea of "lowering aircraft price" and people with an interest and a proper character development has the opportunity to buy an aircraft getting a slightly busy airspace then this suggestion is surely exciting. Whatever happens, keep up the great work @TheCHcuky !
  7. OFFICIAL PARTY STATEMENT [LSDEM] Regarding the recent allegations towards R. Orosco In view of recent events about our central district candidate Richard Orosco, the Democratic Party has decided to release an official statement. We were informed of this press release by LSNN a few days ago, showing our concerns to the protagonist of this story. Mister Orosco has been questioned from the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Executive DEM members about the whole situation. However, analyzing the case further and gathering corroborated evidence, the Democratic Party came to the conclusion that Richard Orosco will not be removed from his role. A board has been set up for this particular case and we had a few concerns about the victim Ms. Pierce. We shall say that we harshly condemn any felony committed by our members, especially about such serious matters like domestic violence. We empathise with Ms. Pierce, but feel this matter might have been brought forward at a strategic time to unhinge the process of the elections. The party vividly suggests Ms. Pierce to take this matter to a courtlaw instead of using the media to report a such alleged event. The article published by LSNN staff did not provide any name, corroborated evidence or substantial fact. Through the Democratic Party's board investigation, we found out that Ms. Pierce was a sworn deputy for the Los Santos Sheriff's Department and she had the possibility to address the issue to the Sheriff herself at that time. Furthermore, Ms. Pierce has been terminated from the LSSD due to being mentally unfit for duty. We do not think that Ms. Pierce's allegations are corroborated and there is no actual evidence of wrongdoing from our district representative candidate Richard Orosco. Richard Orosco has served the city of Los Santos for many years as a valuable deputy sheriff. He dedicated his career to the LSSD and risked his own life to protect the city and its citizen. Mister Richard Orosco released a personal statement as follows: Forward Together,
  8. I am sorry to read this. My faction has many members and as you may understand many of us are interested in posting political advertisements. It's one of my duties to be sure that Rule 17 is enforced all the time, but I can only control over my faction obviously. As some users above said, election campaign is something GTAW players were looking for since long time, but I do understand that a minority may not appreciate that much. /cad is an open advertisement tool for everyone, from businesses to associations, from generic organizations to political parties. It's not just limited to "/cad let's go boys, we're opening a club" but it may contain further messages too. As for the solution to the problem offered by the author, I think this would only increase the spam and would not be a fair competition for the political factions to get their slice of the cake about advertisement visibility. Furthermore, if you see any advertisement from the Democratic Party breaking Rule 17 (especially about ads cool down period) don't refrain to contact me and I'll handle it myself, thank you!
  9. Democrats' District Representative Candidates are now published on our main faction thread. Congratulations to everyone, let the fun begin!

  11. DEMOCRATIC PARTY - LOS SANTOS CITY - 2020 "Forward Together" INTRODUCTION The Democratic Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States of America, along with its main rival, the Republican Party. Tracing its heritage back to Thomas Jefferson and James Madison's Democratic-Republican Party, the modern-day Democratic Party was founded around 1828 by supporters of Andrew Jackson making it the world's oldest active political party. The Democratic Party in Los Santos is currently led by Charles Galloway. The party successfully formed a team of experts in the political environment, shaped on young prospects whom already had political experience in their background. However, in the last years the party suffered of large inactivity and misery therefore lost a major part of electoral consent. That’s why Charles Galloway was appointed as the Democratic Party’s Leader for the City of Los Santos, undergoing to a full revamp of the party. OUR HISTORY Democratic Party officials often trace its origins to the inspiration of the Democratic-Republican party, founded by Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and other influential opponents of the Federalists in 1792. That party also inspired the Whigs and modern Republicans. Organizationally, the modern Democratic Party truly arose in the 1830s with the election of Andrew Jackson. Since the nomination of William Jennings Bryan in 1896, the party has generally positioned itself to the left the Republican Party on economic issues. Democrats have been more liberal on civil rights since 1948, although conservative factions which opposed them persisted in the South until the 1960s. On foreign policy, both parties have changed position several times. The Democratic Party evolved from the Jeffersonian Republican or Democratic-Republican Party organized by Jefferson and Madison in opposition to the Federalist Party. The Democratic-Republican Party favored republicanism; a weak federal government; states' rights; agrarian interests (especially Southern planters); and strict adherence to the Constitution. The party opposed a national bank and Great Britain. After the War of 1812, the Federalists virtually disappeared and the only national political party left was the Democratic-Republicans, which was prone to splinter along regional lines. The era of one-party rule in the United States, known as the Era of Good Feelings lasted from 1816 until 1828 when Andrew Jackson became president. Jackson and Martin Van Buren worked with allies in each state to form up a new Democratic Party on a national basis. In the 1830s the rivals coalesced into the main rival to the Democrats. Fifteen Democrats have served as President of the United States. The first was Andrew Jackson, who was the seventh president and served from 1829 to 1837. The most recent was Barack Obama, who was the 44th and held office from 2009 to 2017. OUR VALUES The Democratic Party's philosophy of modern liberalism blends notions of civil liberty and social equality with support for a mixed economy. In Congress, the party has influential centrist, progressive and conservative wings. Corporate governance reform, environmental protection, support for organized labor, maintenance and expansion of social programs, affordable college tuition, universal health care, equal opportunity and consumer protection form the core of the party's economic agenda. On social issues, it advocates campaign finance reform, LGBT rights, criminal justice and immigration reform, stricter gun laws and the legalization of marijuana. The Democratic Party of Los Santos really believes that everyone can make the difference. Our motto "Forward Together" fully explains our values: we're not on your back trying to make business at your expense, but we strive to help the community to grow up more and more. There are no citizen of different categories, but we share all in one, we will go through victory or loss all together for the better. OUR TEAM CHARLES GALLOWAY - CHAIRMAN Charles Galloway was born on 12th June 1972 in Paleto Bay, State of San Andreas. Since his youth he showed great interests towards local politics, partaking in rallies and events to promote essential rights such as equal opportunities and free health care. At the age of 21, while being an active member of the San Andreas Democratic Party, he supported the local government as counselor for Mayor Thompson in Tucson (AZ), after moving to a new place to pursue his dream and continue his studies in Economics Science. A few years later, Galloway completed his studies and successfully obtained his master's degree on economics, using his title to be even more helpful within the local government. On 17th September 1998 he ran for district representative candidate for the south area of Tucson, winning the ballot for a bunch of votes. This event paved the way to Galloway's political career, joining the City Council of the City as a Democrats. Due to his reform proposals he immediately attracted attention from the Democratic Party National Committee. He kept being elected within the State of Arizona in higher ranks and eventually received the offer as Chairman for the Democratic Party in the City of Los Santos. OUR DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATES GEORGE VALENCIA - EASTERN DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE George Valencia was born in East Los Santos on November 8th, 1989 to immigrant parents Antonio and Catalina Valencia. His parents were Mexican immigrants who migrated to the United States sometime in the early eighties due to the increasing violence and instability that was occurring in Mexico at the time. His father, Antonio had found home in San Andreas, more specifically within the Eastside of Los Santos. There, his father found employment at a local meat packing company where he worked for several decades and made enough to support his wife and children. George and his younger brothers, Anthony Valencia, and Pablo Valencia grew up in a very impoverished neighborhood with a high concentration of Latino residents. Unfortunately, crime was prominent, and a heavy gang presence was the norm. In fact, the three brothers were known for being delinquents in their early teens, often breaking into homes and stealing vehicles for parts. Unfortunately, this was commonplace and just simply part of the culture within the neighborhood. This clearly disappointed their father who immigrated from his homeland due to the troubles going on back home. George’s father quickly realized that the deterioration of him and his brothers would continue unless he found a solution to their problems. His solution was to enforce education and the pursuit of individual growth. This was met with rebellion by the three brothers, but through support and ultimate patience, the three eventually found their way. Although life in the neighborhood was difficult, George and his siblings grew up with parents that were always there to provide support, and life was much easier because of that. Eventually, in his own pursuit of individual growth, George’s father began reading extensively in regards to personal finance, and investment knowledge. He was unsatisfied with the living conditions he and his family were in, and his hours at the meat packing company were being reduced which meant less pay. He was determined to dig himself out of this hole. He continued reading up on the subjects, now becoming intensely passionate in the subject. At this point, he was also working two jobs, but would read and learn during his breaks or whenever he had free time. Over the years, his father saved up enough money and with his newly gained knowledge, Antonio established an investment company involved in foreign currencies where he would analyse and then invest in a variety of national currencies. He named it Valencia Trading and continued to slowly, but surely expand its investments into different securities. At this point, George began learning through the mentoring of his father and his teachings of financial securities, and investments. Throughout the many lessons that he learned from his father, one particular lesson seemed to be of high importance, and that was the lesson of impact investing. A form of investing that benefited the economic and social well being of the community. His father emphasized the importance of this form of investing, because it ultimately gives back to the community which in turn provides growth and prosperity to the people within it. Later in his years, George studied at the University of Los Santos, San Andreas, where he double majored in Finance and Economics. While going to ULSA, George moved in with his brothers in La Puerta to be closer to the University, but also to enjoy the local beaches. Shortly after his graduation, George’s father, Antonio Valencia became gravely ill, and unfortunately passed away at the age of fifty two due to kidney failure. The stability of Valencia Trading was shaky due to Antonio’s illness, but it remained stable enough for the company to be passed onto his children. The Valencia brothers have now inherited their father’s company and faced the challenges of expanding the company. They first expanded the company by increasing their investment in commodities, securities, and then established a way to provide clients with proper credit loans. These expansions have allowed the company to prosper greatly. With these changes made, the Valencia brothers decided to re-establish the company into a financial institution, and renamed it Valencia Capital, Inc. With Valencia Capital in full swing, George continued with his father’s legacy by imposing one of his most important values, serving the community. George did this through impact investing, and by donating funds to people in need within the local community of East Los Santos. With this in mind, George decided to move back to East Los Santos to be closer to the community he had been a part of since his childhood, and is where he now resides. MANJOT SINGH - NORTHERN DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE Manjot Singh is a proud U.S.A. citizen who recently moved from the City of New York to Los Santos City. He is very fond to his community and extremely sensitive to any concern brought up to him. Singh hails from a corporate background. He is blessed to have worked in large corporations in his hometown, which gave him immeasurable experiences for both business and everyday life. Singh moved to Los Santos to open a new chapter in his life. He felt he needed a new challenge. The thriving and lively city of Los Santos was an easy choice for him to resort to. From a young age, Singh always had an interest in politics and knew that he one day wanted to represent the needs and interests of his city. He feels that his personality, which is based around listening and helpfulness, is key to understanding the wants of his district and essential when it comes to representing their needs too. Singh currently resides in West Vinewood and is thrilled to be able to make a difference for the people of his district. Feel free to contact him anytime on Facebrowser. WALLACE ABBASI - SOUTHERN DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE Wallace Abbasi, in full Wallace Abdul Abbasi, previously known as Wallace Mays was originally born in Los Santos, Davis on May 3rd 1958. Currently a member of a Fruit of Islam branch in Los Santos (from 1990). Wallace was raised by his mother Terisha Mays, a Davis native. He graduated with Honors from Davis High School, where he was also a member of the football team. He then attended ULSA where he attained a degree in Political Science. He then proceeded to work as a Political Analyst at the Los Santos County District Attorney's Office, earning a reputation as a hard worker, always dedicated to getting the job done. Wallace was also known to deliver addresses to multiple schools and sermons at the Mosque No.19 in Los Santos as he was a minister. Wallace was also known for being an activist and is popular for attending multiple rallies and protests concerning race discrimination and police brutality. Wallace was then selected to serve as the nominee for district representative for the Southern post. TANYA SUN - WESTERN DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE Tanya Sun was born in Seoul, South Korea where she spent her formative years before being sent to school in Le Rosey, Switzerland. She emigrated to the United States in the final year of her secondary education, where she interned for the State-side office of the Korean mega-corporation, the Haechi Finance Group in Liberty City. During this time she took up competitive sports including track and field and Tae Kwan Do, as well as an interest in economic advocacy. She became a citizen during her tertiary education. She studied a Bachelor of Applied Finance by distance through the University of Hong Kong, before opting to pursue her passion for advocacy further as a career. Subsequently, she entered into post-graduate study with a Juris Doctorate through ULSA by distance, which she completed in 2019. She left the Haechi Group to move to San Andreas, settling into the neighborhood of Little Seoul, commonly referred to as K-Town. It was here that Tanya developed a keen interest in social and economic issues, seeing first hand an economic disparity due to the legacy of the race riots of the early nineties on the neighborhood. She took the State Bar exam, becoming a practicing attorney to help business owners get access to advice and support that she felt, ideally, ought to be provided by the city. Her specialist expertise in contractual and property law would enable her to support multiple community support initiatives. Together with locals, she supported a community initiative to provide temporary accommodation for new migrants and the homeless in lieu of a functional social housing scheme. Her interest has not been limited to Little Seoul, however, as she has worked in Chumash, Vespucci, Del Perro and Pacific Bluffs. In 2020, she began to work for the Little Seoul Business Association, assisting businesses in the local area to collectively advocate for common interests. Being twenty six years old, she already boasts an impressive pedigree and a determination to change the city for the better. A common argument against younger candidates is that they lack experience or wisdom, Tanya contradicts both claims, and can tell you how in three languages. RICHARD OROSCO - CENTRAL DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE Richard Orosco was born on the 18th of July, 1989 and raised in Vespucci, Los Santos, a place where his family has called home for three generations. He still resides in Vespucci. He started his first job at aged fourteen, working at the local twenty-four-seven in Vespucci whilst studying at Los Santos High. He boosted his education through ULSA, where he majored in economics with the help of student loans. Richard enrolled in the Los Santos Police Department's reserve program in 2011 and graduated in September of that year, class 3-11. He spent a year with the Los Santos Police Department before making the full-time switch to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, where he worked for a further ten years before pursuing a career in politics. Richard became a key figure in the shift towards community policing and is an avid supporter of jail and prison reforms around the state. BADAR KHAN - COUNTY DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE Badar Khan was born on 26th February, 1995 in Los Santos, San Andreas. At the moment, he is currently residing in Paleto Bay since some time. From a young age, Badar was seen as a keen and bright individual. He completed his Bachelors in Psychology, vastly influenced by his interest in studying the human mind and general behaviour of humans with one another, by the age of 24. However, he wanted to do more. Badar’s interest in Politics has been since his College days. He would keep himself up to date with the current affairs of the state. Although, he never intended on joining politics at such a young age of 25, he still joined The Democratic Party to help out with any internal or external affairs related to the Party. In a very short period of time, he rose to prominence in the party, whereas he has now been offered a big opportunity to be a candidate for the County District Representative slot - to be an array of new hope and change.
