At around 19:00 the SAAA was made aware of a low-flying Mammatus Dodo Fixed-Wing aircraft in the Sandy Shores area. After coordinating with Air Traffic Control, SAAA investigators arrived on scene. The aircraft had already landed as instructed by Air Traffic Control.

SAAA investigators helped members of the local law enforcement locate the aircraft. The investigation concluded that the pilot’s endorsement had expired. Law enforcement had taken the pilot, Aidan Kirkland, into custody.
