  1. Aviation Accident Report 05/FEB/2023 At around 19:00 the SAAA was made aware of a low-flying Mammatus Dodo Fixed-Wing aircraft in the Sandy Shores area. After coordinating with Air Traffic Control, SAAA investigators arrived on scene. The aircraft had already landed as instructed by Air Traffic Control. SAAA investigators helped members of the local law enforcement locate the aircraft. The investigation concluded that the pilot’s endorsement had expired. Law enforcement had taken the pilot, Aidan Kirkland, into custody. More updates will follow as the investigation continues. 2. Aviation Accident Report Number 54 January 30th 2023 A Maverick helicopter, registration N061SD, is reported to have crashed at the Sandy Shores Airfield on January 29th. The mayday call was received by SAAA investigators at 15:15 via the general air traffic communication frequency. At this time, the SAAA reports that "the cause of this being weather conditions, low fuel reserves and general equipment malfunctions" and that "IFR systems [had been] rendered inoperable." The pilot, Sky Evans, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation. Senior Safety Investigator, Silva, and Deputy Administrator, Alexis Oxford, have both been on the scene to assess the cause of this accident and the extent of the damage. The SAAA has confirmed that "the aircraft is being held for inspection." and that the preliminary investigation confirms the pilot's statements and the information provided in the original distress call. More updates will follow as the investigation continues. Carlos Montoya SAAA Public Communications Officer Mobile phone: 1395203 https://saaa.gta.world/
  3. Aviation Accident Report Number 53 A San Andreas Aviation Administration investigator discovered the deceased body of a man at the Paleto Bay Forest Lumberyard on January 23rd 2023 at 23:00. The SAAA report concluded that “the victim seemed to have suffered from a large and clean laceration to the head” resulting from contact with a Green Frogger helicopter’s rotor blade. The LSSD and Park Rangers confirmed the victim’s brother was the only witness present when they arrived on site. The victim’s brother stated that a green helicopter attempted to land in the Lumberyard and in doing so, killed his brother, then the aircraft then took off and disappeared. It turns out the aircraft is actually owned by Skybound Aviation. We reached out to Skybound Aviation’s owner, Timmy McCoy, who gave the following statement: “This is the second time in the same month that an aircraft has been stolen. Keep in mind from this point forward all aircraft will be on camera when idle or in flight.” The NHC042 green frogger helicopter was empty when Taylor, our SAAA investigator, located it 900 feet East of the accident site. He found it in between a couple of trees and covered by vegetation with no damage besides the rotors. “Law enforcement was notified of the finding and fingerprints and DNA were taken off the aircraft, LSSD Homicide is on the case.” Further details pending as the case is an active police investigation.
