Starting out in the '60s the Harpy's were a big street gang, acting as a plan for the Mexican Mafia (known as La Eme). The Harpy's name is from the American Harpy Eagle, the most powerful raptor founded in America. The Harpy's ties with La Eme goes further showing their allegiance with the number thirteen in the name. The Harpy's use the letter H, being clothing or other items representing the Harpy gang. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ The strike On December 6th, 2012 the Los Santos Police Department executed a sting operation, arresting 29 members of Harpy's, and Vianna Roman, the daughter of Danny Roman a well-known La Eme member and leader of W/S Harpy 13. Going to prison for life Danny still ran his operation through prison using his daughter Vianna and her husband. Earning money by extorting small businesses and small food trucks for cash. At this time Vianna got caught up and pleaded guilty to many charges including racketeering, weapon, and drug charges. The enterprise continued going as it reached Manuel Valencia, continuing to lead the crimes he went into the prison, pleading guilty to federal racketeering and drug trafficking. ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ Present day Nowadays the Harpy gang consists of young teens in their adulthood, doing criminal activities such as gun distribution, narcotic distribution, armed robbery, homicide, and extortion. They operate at the Crystal Heights apartment complex on Forum Drive, trying to maintain a low profile.
