Removal of nametags

Short description:
Permanent removal of nametags in general.

Detailed description:
GTA V offers expanded customization of characters (facial features, clothing, tattoos, etc.).

It's not like SA-MP where you had a total of ~300 skins.

Basically everything is logged on GTAW, so in case somebody does anything wrong to you logs can be checked easily.

Nametags are a thing from the past and offer nothing but metagame and ruin realism which this community aims for.

Other GTA V multiplayer mods and much larger communities work fine without nametags, why shouldn't GTAW too?

How would your suggestion improve the server?
It would bring up realism and lower the chances of metagame. Both in legal, civilian and illegal roleplay.

It will remove rulebreakers from the community, some temporarily, some permanently.

It will increase roleplay quality. Animations will be used more often, casefiles will be investigated better, faction wars will be better and will not affect the whole server like now when a car full of guys get close to your car just to see your nametag to shoot you or similar.

Meeting people will be on a totally different level, actually inspecting how they look and will offer a totally new level of roleplay.

Finding people will be much harder which brings realism.

You wouldn't be able to read a criminal's nametag and arrest him just because you saw his nametag in a car chase.

You wouldn't be able to read somebody's nametag and connect the person to a certain event if he or she had hidden their face.

You'd have to pay attention to hair, eyes, beard, make-up, skin, tattoos. Just like you do in real life.

Additional information:

It is what it is. Simple as that.

Denying this just shows both staff and community support for metagaming, non-realism and stagnancy without offering space for improvements.

Nametags are a thing of past and are not needed anymore. If this is a heavy roleplay server, portray it properly.

Can you at least justify your response instead of spamming?

also what you're also referrencing about metagaming can always be battled with a report 🙂 no need to remove nametags because you were caught evading once

My a-jail has nothing to do with nametags.

I support the idea as well. People randomly stopping or just turning around to drive past you again, just to see your nametag are kinda annoying. But then again least 8 out of 10 females on the server have similar faces.

This would work if customization was insane, but it's not. There is limited face combos, everyone using same hairstyles, same clothing.
That's not how it is IRL, is it, you don't go out irl and see 20 people with Benjamins face? Only people you could differentiate are the people who go above and beyond with their characters making them look like they are from Second life, white eyes, pink hair, looking like a chalkboard.

Metagaming is already being battled heavily by people not being able to see names through walls, name radius reduced once in a car.
What this will increase, is DM. "Oh man, you just looked the same as John, keep it IC, it's a IC mistake".

No this won't ever work.

Major no, it was brought up hundreds of times, and always was denied for obvious reasons. You hide a name tag, then what? What if the guy broke a rule and yuo want to report, how you'd go about it?

Nervous already said no to this idea before.
