Add additional Yacht's/Boats to the server

Short description:  Add the following boats to improve marina and boat RP.

Detailed description:  Currently, the selection for boat, especially large boats and water craft is severally lacking. While for the average player this might not seem like an issue, I think adding more boats would add additional avenues for wealth RP (Both Illegal and Legal). As well as bring more life to the cities waterways. It'll create more RP for FD (In the form of possible search and rescue), It'll create more RP for Illegal RPer's (In the form of adding additional trafficking routes, storage options and potential killings) and it's create a money sink for the super rich that doesn't involve buying whatever car is popular this week.

 

I think the addition of more watercraft will also introduce more opportunities to RP in the marina and beach areas, as well as encourages more RP in world 0 which I believe is always a plus.

Absolutely not. Have you looked at the file size for these vehicles?

 

There are actual suitable mods out there we can look into. For starters, the boats in the IVPack. A quick search has shown me this mod - I don't know how good it is, but it's a start.

A few mods I found. Some of them might work. They're not quite the multi-million dollar yachts you're suggesting, but those simply won't happen.

 

Boat interiors are already planned, which is just one more thing.

I'd love to see more boats added, yachts should definitely be less common if added at all and as for the one that Marksman linked, a yacht that size has no place on the server it's far larger than any of the one Henning linked in all ways except filesize. I'd love to see those smaller boats with the exception of a civilian predator, it's simply not needed as compared to all other GTA V boats it is the most barebones as it was created to fit a the tiny niche that was singleplayer ocean pursuits (Something that just never happens.)

I do like to see a better variation of ships, such as the ones suggested here. Adding four more yachts is great, but not as great as these three.

I don't understand the technicalities of modding, but around 40mb, it doesn't seem all that much of a problem.

 

The RV interiors were certainly a great start, but it'd be a shame to just limit boat interiors to something like a marquis which is extremely immobile.

I suggested the yachts I did because the current “yacht” we have is a sailboat.

 

Coming from an area in the US where boating is a way of life, the boats I suggested fit more with the common trends in luxury boats. While yes Marksman’s suggestions would be nice as well, my suggestion was purposed to Fill a hole we have in the current selection.

Because if every mod we added was 40mb, the size of the GTAW dlcpack files would be several gigabytes larger than what it already is. File size also has a significant impact on performance and we aim to choose mods that are as similar to quality and size of vanilla R* files as possible so we're not forcing any players to worse performance because of high, high quality models and mods.

I approve this idea, we have high end cars so why not yachts too?
