A summary of George’s take on the modern Philly operations and the state of its Los Santos branch-off. -Transcript- If there ever was a code of silence, an idea of honor and loyalty that disappeared a generation or two ago, it was a phenomenon, the American mafia experience - But it has pretty much played itself out. You see guys breaking the oath, arrests racking up each year, but it’d be a mistake to ignore their presence in the modern day. As I’ve always said, the Philly Family can more or less be summed up in three words - bloodshed, respites and betrayal. Ever since Angelo Bruno’s days, it’s been a rough journey for whoever may it be in the driving seat. As of late, we’re hearing a lot about Campo's case who was rumored to hold the Los Santos end of the family together. And this guy? He’s been around. He’s one of the few ones as old school as they get. Being an opportunist? It wasn’t a surprise hearing the rumors about the guy spreading his tentacles over at the other coast. But now that he’s back in Philly, facing this indictment, and it’s a strong looking case? They’ve slipped in some shape or form. Just last month we had the news about Camastra getting locked up before his demisal in the cells, it could be him cutting a deal before the incident. But nobody knows as it stands. If something’s certain, the operations they had going? They’ve taken a good hard hit. Their import company was shut-down temporarily as a report suggests. But the show certainly ain’t stopping anytime soon. Phil's another guy who’s been on the street and did his time for a fair share. There’s nobody else to speculate forging ahead as far as the satellite’s concerned. Without a doubt, they’ve got a mountain to climb with these indictments. The Philly Department’s been going back and forth with San Andreas reportedly, but Martorano’s got a head for business. It seems like they've gone quiet, but they've only been playing smart. These guys are getting opportunities to start off clean, make a good amount of legitimate money with a few other things on the side, staying on the low while the law enforcement is busy with street-based gangs and the bikers making more noise than ever. So here’s what’s happened, they’ve channeled a lot of their energy towards businesses now rather than the old and extreme ways, and so far, it’s seeming to work! I'm hearing about some ties with the local teamsters, medicare, construction, the fighting business of the city. But again? It works as far as these guys see money coming in. It stops and they’re getting out of business, I could see numerous fraud, extortion and sharking cases coming up in the coming decade too. At the end of the day, these guys are off their way with Philly’s blessing, so they are bound to keep their proxies and envelopes moving no matter what. Big update.
