  1. Los Santos County Sheriff's Department "A Tradition Of Service" PERSONNEL FILE - #149115 DETECTIVE RAMON HERRERA DOB: April 21st, 1989 Date of Hire: July 12th, 2010 Current Rank: Detective Current Assignments: P/Field Investigator, Homicide Bureau PERSONAL INFORMATION Age: 35 Ethnicity: Hispanic-American Nationality: American Weight: 198 lbs Height: 6'1'' CHAPTER 1 - Early Life Ramon Herrera was born to Maria and Carlos Herrera on April 21st, 1989. His parents were immigrants who moved to the United States from Mexico. They stayed in East Los Santos where they worked together to create a stable income. Maria was a great chef and passed her love to the family through cuisine. Carlos on the other hand, was a carpenter that introduced an artistic sense into their home. However, tragedy struck when Ramon was just a teenager, as Carlos was tragically killed in a workplace accident. This left Maria deserted with Ramon and she had to raise him on her own. Maria was determined to honor the memory of her husband by making a better future for her son, which pushed Maria into working even harder, taking night shifts as a janitor in a nearby office complex, Maria’s new job enabled her to fill the empty void that she departed husband left in their financial situation. Despite this tragedy, Ramon’s childhood was filled with friends and neighbors living closely by each others’ side, sharing both happiness and sadness. He spent most days playing soccer in the streets, and the evenings were the fascinating smells of his mother's cooking and the tales of her adventures with Carlos before they moved to the United States, which was Ramon’s favorite part of the day. As Ramon grew older, he threw himself into his studies, he felt pressured to study harder than usual to not let his hard-working mother down. Although this was pressuring and anxiety-inducing to Ramon, it made him excel academically as he graduated high school. He applied for a scholarship to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Los Santos, Ramon’s GPA of 3.8 put him on the waitlist for the university’s scholarship program. Luckily, Ramon was accepted and enrolled in ULSA. Ramon’s journey within university was not as successful as it was in high school, his mother was getting older and unable to sustain the household financially, which pushed Ramon to have to work multiple part-time jobs to help support his mother. Ramon did this all while also volunteering at community centers and youth programs. Through the years, Ramon saw for himself the crimes that marred the neighborhood of La Mesa, which increased his desire to be able to do something. Ramon Herrara's aspiration to join the Los Santos Sheriff's Department is driven by two commitments, his dedication to serving his community and his practical need for a stable, well-paying job. Raised in a household marked by financial uncertainty following his father's death. Ramon understands the challenges his mother endured to provide for the family. Ramon sees a career in law enforcement as a way of acquiring stability and financial security, given his educational background. By joining LSSD, Ramon aims not only to fulfill his sense of community service but also to secure a reliable income source in a career that promises a brighter future. Additionally, Ramon has thoroughly looked into the available law enforcement positions and has found the Sheriff's Department to be the best fit. This decision comes from the department's reputation for offering stable jobs, chances to grow in his career, and a positive workplace atmosphere. This lines up perfectly with his goals for a secure future for himself and his family. CHAPTER 2 - LS County Sheriff's Department After Ramon got accepted into the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, his life took a significant turn from studying and doing part time jobs he was now an employed Law Enforcement Official within Los Santos County's underbelly. During the training period Ramon had gotten an Academic Recruit award for his outstanding performance during the academy and soon after successfully passed his Field Training Program where he honed his skills under the supervision of a veteran Deputy. Upon passing his FTP, Herrera had become a full fledged Deputy of the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, he was assigned to Anthony Mendoza as a partner and soon after the duo patrolled the streets daily. The challenges that Ramon faced whilst patrolling as a Deputy were the same as every new recruit at the time, they had to learn to juggle work life and passive life. Despite the challenges faced on the job as they often got called to altercations, Ramon had found his true calling. This did put a heavy weight on Herrera's shoulders however, often having a moment of so-called "introspection", leading to him seeking refuge in Algonquin whilst off duty. He usually lingers around bars as a way to pass the time off duty and having a moment of self reflection but also as a way to forget work for a few hours, however long that may be. Ramon's future within the LSSD is unknown, although he remains committed to serving the community he signed up to serve and protect. Often whilst on patrol, Ramon usually thinks of his father and the sacrifices of his mother in the past, whilst appreciating their struggle for his future he's driven to try make a change due to that. Throughout the later stages of his patrol career, Ramon had began to look into other assignments within the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, the Detective Division in specifically stuck out to him. He'd always wanted to be a Detective, growing up watching Lethal Weapon and Miami Vice created a fantasized romanticized version of law enforcement and originally played in his mind and contributed to why he wanted to become a law enforcement officer. This thread will follow the life of Ramon Herrera.
  2. I do agree with you, no one likes a weirdo, but if you mark them permanently as one, you leave no chance for change, and to speak on a wide spectrum, this could not only affect the person's attitude in game but also in real life with people that surround them, they're better off being permanently banned or punished accordingly if the infraction is a small one I agree with you too, but that's why we have punishments, when someone does something like that and they get ajailed or banned for it, it stains their record permanently and they won't be accepted into most factions if not all, they'll be removed from the factions they currently roleplay with most of the time, which I think is punishment enough. No need to take a further step. I do agree though if someone repeats an offence like this, they should be permanently banned
  3. This, and also isolating a group of people for an infraction won't change their behavior or amend it, they'll be subject to constant bullying and trolling due to their specialized nametag which if anything, will worsen their behavior and leave no chance for redemption. The current punishment system is good as it is.
