  1. A necessary evil. Imagine bugging out in a shootout, or getting into a whole faction war because of a metagaming player.
  2. I''m not patient enough to walk, that's it. I don't care about your immersion, those 0.3 milliseconds matter to me.
  3. -1 What would you sell that's worth more than $30k at a pawn shop apart from some jewelry? Like frog homie said, it could lead to many more possibilities to price gauge already overpriced items.
  4. True, as much as I enjoy GTAW, this game made me rediscover my anger issues.
  5. You mean, just like in real life, ridesharing apps will compete and drastically affect conventional taxiing?
  6. We should ditch the taxi script and create an Uber-like app. I support doing taxi with any sedan as long as it's not a Bentley.
  7. Do you really want the admins to list all the possible fetishes and disgusting acts known to human kind?
  8. Most players don't spent up to 3 hours 7 days a week on the server. There's some guys who roleplay once or twice a week with some breaks due to IRL stuff. Forcing them into interacting with a landlord would be unfair. It's highly unfair to subtract a weekly rent from someone who doesn't use that space. We shouldn't turn landlords into the necessary evil from real life. You could try reading Smith, A., ‘Of the Rent of Land’, in Wealth of Nations.
  9. Screenshots server as an activity benchmark for both the Ǵ̵͕͕̣͒̋̀̿͘ó̵̱͖̙͗̌́̅̊̀̚̕͝ͅḓ̸̪͉̲̪͗̈́͑͑̈́̌͛͑̊́̐͌̅̏s̷̠͓̆̈̂̅ ̸̛͎̭̻̜̗̣̌̿̑̎͐͗̈́̇͋̋̚̚o̵̬̟͙͖̲̊̎͆̌́͗́̄͘͝ͅf̸̨̡̦̲͓͚͈͖̙̯̲̲͚̭̜͒̽͌̀̈́͆͂͗͑̎̚͠ ̶͍̟͎̬̲̹̖̱̪̦̽̉͜͝ͅỊ̴̼̭̌̓̏͒͒̑̄̈͛̉̒̍͠ļ̵̻̳̲͎͉̖̼͓̈́͂̍̍̅̏̈́̀̓͊̈́̉l̷̡̡̡̦̤̖͚͖̺̲͓̘̠͗̓͌́͋̇̕̚̚e̴̠̙̹͍̔̆͒̋̚͘g̵̞̝̲̘̖̭͕͍̿͐̽̽̇̀̏̎͊͜͜ȧ̶̼͍͈̣̮͉͉̘͕͎̯̀̀͂̓́̀̇l̵̡̨̹͉̥̭̭̹̮͚̣̳͈̙̪̔̇̿̋̐ ̵͇̥̞̺̗̻̞̜̘̳̘̹͙̓̏͌̀͌̎̌͠F̷̛̹̦̥̙̣̣͓̭̳͉̪̳̘̳̭͂́̈́̿̔͐̀̀͒̃̍͂̀̊a̴͍̼̤͖̠̩̠̍̾c̷̢͕͇͔͓͔̦̞̦̩̫̈̈́̽̑̑̂t̶̤̝̙͍̞͎̳̝̘͒͗͊̚į̸̞̜̱̺̩̠͍̜̗̺̂͒̔̌̽o̵̻̝̦̙̦̦̹̪̰͕͔͛͂̈̾̈͛͂́͜ņ̸̻͕̯̲̳̗͐̔́s̵̢͍͖̦̻͔͔͎̗̲̾̀͑̐̈͜ͅ and the faction's leadership. It's also a big time way to display your roleplaying skills to people you wouldn't normally interact with. You don't have to divulge sensitive IC information through your screens. & there is also passive-aggressive provoking screenshots with borderline racism, homophobia, etc. that are only there to stir up some sort of OOC faction antagonism. Fuck those.
  10. Here we go again. The root of this problem is people who care too much about other people's roleplay instead of playing the game. Stop antagonizing each other, accept the fact that people have fun in different ways, especially when they don't really affect you negatively or break the rules. Be nice to each other, that's all it takes.
  11. The original post said legal faction which by this server's standards include the hospital, security companies, casinos, and finance and trucking companies. My complaint is the fact that trucking companies have started asking for 500 words essays on why'd you want to be a trucker. I've even seen illegal factions having Google Docs or applications on their Discord before you can roleplay with them. My point is that the server's extensive administrative bureaucracy has become a norm among factions. LEAs is another different story.
  12. Real life: > send cv > talk to recruiter on phone > interview (99% of companies do it online) > get a job or not > repeat first step 300 times because the fucking labor market is in recession
  13. @pateuvasiliu mentioned earlier in this thread that the suspect reached 25 Criminal Points after the deed, which implies that he had priors that might've led to extended incarceration. UPDATE: Guns were drawn by the cops, which is a threat to his life. & your accusations of deathmatching do not dismiss a) the fact that PK'ing cops should warrant a First Degree Murder charge, and b) the cops' disregard of personal safety when chasing the suspect. I'm pretty sure you guys are trained to end chases when facing serious environmental hazards.
  14. They've turned an alleged threat into an imminent one in which the eventual escalation had led to a block-wide shootout in which realistically civilians might've been also killed. I assume they were too confident and hellbent on catching the guy, that they went straight into a death funnel (the complex entrance), disregarding any form of spatial awareness. This sounds like poor decision-making on their side.
  15. You mean they found themselves in a dynamic situation in which short-time decisions effectively become life or death situations? Sounds like they slipped and got themselves into a situation where they've risked their lives.
  16. It was their choice to act like heroes. They should therefore face the consequences.
  17. The very realistic risks of being a cop. You're acting like cops didn't sign up to fucking shootouts when they went through the academy. Your "job" is to engage violent, and often armed, criminals. Again, I reiterate what I've said previously in another thread. Cops are not more important, and they're not doing anyone a service just for being LEOs, you're doing it for fun (i hope) like anyone else. I don't mean to accuse anyone of anything, but the server is not catered to be somebody's personal LSPDFR experience, other players are not NPCs and their characters, no matter what you believe, are as important as any other one.
