  2. PUBLIC WORKS PRESS ARTICLE Los Santos Department of Public Works Issued: 11/FEB/2023 Office Staff of Public Works Matthew Williams The frequency of impound calls has seen a rise in recent times, reflecting a growing demand for impound services. The towing services recently received a new impound lot in Vinewood, which is located in the proximity to the Public Works Department Headquarters. This new addition to the department's facilities will allow more efficient storage of impounded vehicles. The new parking facility has an increased number of parking lots compared to the previous one located in Davis. The construction of this new parking facility was made possible through the collaboration between the Department of Public Works and the City Government. Towing Services will no longer be using the old parking facility in Davis, and all of its operations have been relocated to this new, more modern and well-equipped facility.
  3. PUBLIC WORKS PRESS ARTICLE Los Santos Department of Public Works Issued: 11/FEB/2023 Office Staff of Public Works Matthew Williams On 11th February 2023, the Public Works Inspectors officially started their duties after two months of hard work, during which Office Staff were involved in the development of manuals and the creation of detailed procedures specific to their role. Their duties include, but are not limited to, regular patrolling and monitoring of the infrastructure to identify any potential issues, conducting water quality laboratory tests to assess the potability of the water supply, conducting inspections of private construction sites to ensure compliance with regulations, and inspecting public works sites to verify that they meet the required standards and specifications. They also have the responsibility of performing environmental protection duties to ensure that city and state regulations related to environmental protection are being followed. Additionally, they serve as a point of contact for citizens who have concerns or complaints related to environmental protection, and they are responsible for documenting and reporting any violations that they discover. 4. PUBLIC WORKS PRESS ARTICLE Los Santos Department of Public Works Issued: 10/FEB/2022 Office Staff of Public Works Matthew Williams The Department of Public Works collaborated with the Los Santos Fire Department during the significant fire outbreak at the Land Act Dam. To avoid further incidents in the area, a team of technicians was deployed to the site to provide assistance to the firefighting personnel. These technicians were brought on-site to offer technical expertise and support to the fire department in their efforts to bring the fire under control. Following a careful evaluation of the situation, Senator Wade made the decision to evacuate the Mirror Park neighborhood due to its proximity to the Land Act Dam and the imminent danger posed by the risk of its collapse. The Parking Enforcement Bureau, in coordination with the San Andreas Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, took measures to ensure the safety of residents by setting up roadblocks at the neighborhood's entrances to prevent entry into the hazardous area. Once the firefighting operation had been successfully concluded and the situation brought under control, the Department of Public Works took steps to secure the area around the Dam. This involved making access restrictions in the vicinity of the dam to ensure the safety of the public and allowing only authorized personnel to enter the area. Meanwhile, residents of Mirror Park were given the all-clear to return to their homes. In the coming days, an investigation will be launched by a joint task force consisting of state agencies and representatives from Aurum Energy.
  5. PUBLIC WORKS PRESS ARTICLE Los Santos Department of Public Works Issued: 09/FEB/2022 Office Staff Of Public Works Matthew Williams The Department of Public Works recently attended a safety operation aimed at addressing the persistent issue of trespassing and unauthorized entry onto the runway at Blaine Aviation. This issue posed a significant risk to the individuals involved, as the runway is an active airfield and poses numerous hazards to anyone not authorized to be there. Department of Public Works implemented an approach to increase safety at Blaine Aviation. A key component of this initiative involved the installation of a secure fence around the perimeter of the runway. This fence will prevent individuals from illegally entering the runway, reducing the number of incidents. Furthermore, Department of Public Works installed road barriers at the entrance to the runway, creating a designated control point for vehicles entering the airfield. The purpose of these barriers is to effectively regulate and monitor vehicular access to the runway, ensuring that only authorized vehicles are granted entry.
  6. PUBLIC WORKS PRESS ARTICLE Los Santos Department of Public Works Issued: 08/DEC/2022 Office Staff of Public Works Matthew Williams The Department of Public Works in Los Santos and San Andreas has launched a road safety operation aimed at improving the conditions around the University of Los Santos and San Andreas. The operation, which started on Sunday, 5th February 2023, is set to run for the next month. The operation is being led by Zachary Milton, the Director of Public Works. Under his supervision, a team of approximately 10 highly skilled technicians are working tirelessly to complete the project. One of the key objectives of this initiative is to regulate vehicle speed in the area. To achieve this, the department is installing speed bumps along the roads near ULSA. These speed bumps will help to reduce the speed of vehicles, making it safer for roads users. In recent times, excessive speeding by vehicles in the area near ULSA has posed a significant threat to public safety. However, with the installation of speed bumps, the maximum allowed speed in the area will be restricted to 15 miles per hour. In addition to the speed bumps, the department is also creating crosswalks. The crosswalks will provide pedestrians with a safe and designated area to cross the road. This will help to reduce the risk of accidents and improve the overall safety of the area. The crosswalk will be positioned at the entrance to the University, where many people currently cross the road. This location was chosen due to its high pedestrian traffic, making it a priority for improving road safety. The Department of Public Works is committed to ensuring the safety of all road users in Los Santos and San Andreas. This operation is part of a wider effort to create safer and more pedestrian-friendly environments. The department hopes that this initiative will have a positive impact on road safety and help to reduce the number of accidents in the area.

I’d like to see full FD station staffing or a Public Works huge operation with a lot of technicians. Some interesting things in legal factions are postponed because of that.
