  1. Couldn't have said this better myself. Well said. If black roleplaying factions were able to eliminate the amount of out-of-character hostility and toxicity, it'd go much further.
  2. Going based off what was seen on the first page of this thread: So I haven't really been involved in much illegal RP for quite some time. In fact it was mainly just LERP. However, from my time roleplaying in that environment, I can say that there are some black-led factions that were successful. However, its usually a bad stigma surrounding those factions because their leaders cannot keep control of their members. Most roleplayers in those factions simply join the faction to run around screaming "Naybood" and DM or other things outside of the scope of proper RP. Now I'm not saying that this has been the case for ALL but a majority of these factions, regardless of the flawless concept, are doomed before they're able to become official because of the actions of their members. If their leaders can get a grip on the members, and hold a proper standard that's up to par with the faction that they intend to portray.
  3. Well that's the theory. We want to kick things off in a college environment. Maybe expand over to the Highschool in Davis and we'd be able to see where it goes from there. But once there's a baseball club in LS, it'll open up many other avenues for roleplay.
  4. Hey, apologies for just getting back to you on this as I haven't really been active on the platform for quite some time. However yeah, I completely agree with what you said. After some time, if it's only me taking on all of the work it'll become tiring. I'm willing to do what's needed to be done, but its just a matter of finding players who would be interesting in committing a character to baseball related roleplay.
  5. Hey there. So essentially, the goal is to provide a calm and fun roleplaying environment for our players. In addition to this, the goal would be ensuring that everything is kept as realistic as possible and we're trying to avoid NPCs where we can. If you're interested, hit me up on discord @hattz#2360 😄
  6. Yeah exactly. I'd hate to start this team just to make it NPC based. Otherwise I consider it a waste of character slots. I plan on doing so much for this team. I just need hands on deck here.
  7. Hey, I fully understand the concern here. Infact, we shared similar concerns to this matter. However, we plan on developing or reworking a system that will be compatible and take into consideration all variables mentioned here and more. We just need hands on deck.
  8. Yeah, I have a few people who are interested. Just need a few more heads involved with it.
  9. Yeah I agree, I'm gonna put together a rather decent team. As we roleplay and with time, I'll develop the stats of the team.
  10. Yeah exactly. I want a team that's going to move and develop with time. So, I'm thinking on starting from ground, up.
  11. Ah, I think I may have misworded it. So essentially, we'd be practicing in game. No actual games are hosted on the server. They are done through a simulator and the results are randomized based on the performance of our players. Moreover, we'll have to develop our own roleplaying systems for practice. But, that shouldn't be hard at all.
  12. Getting back into the faction is the easy part. I just want to make sure you're on board. If you are, hit me up @hattz#2360
  13. Yeah, trust me, its very difficult to find individuals interested in this type of thing. I got about 3 guys on board thus far, I'm just trying my best to see who else would be interested in it.
  14. Yeahh I want the team to be as balanced as possible, especially considering its a new thing and all. Its just a matter of getting hands on deck.
  15. Heyy guys, how are you. So for those of you that dont know me, I'm Izzy. So, I have been roleplaying with the ULSA faction now for a few months, and honestly, I have grown to love the concept of the roleplay, the vibe, and just the environment. All of the roleplayers there are friendly and very much so welcoming. With a combined love for ULSA, and baseball as a sport, I realized that something was missing. I figured, maybe I'd be the one to introduce (or reintroduce) the concept to the faction. So, I am well aware that a large population of the server is European and not many European players or individuals are big on baseball. I am fully aware that primarily American players are interested in baseball but it doesn't hurt to try. So essentially, I am seeking to find players that would be WILLING to be open to commit a character to both ULSA as a faction (because without ULSA, none of this would be possible), and commit a character to baseball oriented roleplay. Of course, everything else would just fall into place, however, these are the key conditions. I'm seeking open minded players that would be willing to accept change, and willing to provide CONSTRUCTIVE criticism to my idea. Everything of course is new, but with some work and a little help, and time, this can be possible. The Idea: Essentially, my idea is to bring roleplayers from all different kinds of backgrounds, players that would bring about their own spin to things, and players that are open minded to the ULSA faction to introduce (or reintroduce) a baseball club to the faction. Our rolepaly wouldn't just be entirely based around baseball, however, our goal is to provide quality roleplay based around the sport. Our season would essentially have to start with a few NPCs on our roster, or some unrealistic spins but this is where OPENMINDEDNESS would come into play and I hope that any changes that are made for the betterment of the sport would be accepted. Feel free to let me know what you guys think about this, I'll be here to chat!
  16. Hey. So I'm a few months late to this topic, however, I like where it's headed so I just felt I'd add my two cents. So, I have a character I'm roleplaying strictly legal with the occasional illegal touches (like substance usage - not abuse). Of course, there's no such thing as a strictly legal individual. Therefore I decided to give my character some illegal flaws like smoking. Now to the point. I feel if your character is strictly legal and doesn't bother to get into people's business, then you should have very little to fear. I've seen topics on here only outlining robberies as a means to be CKd. I just want to say, your character can be CKd based on anything if we're thinking realistically here. Let me give you an example, if you have a character that's always in someone else's business and never his or her own - they CONSTANTLY instigate but never involve themselves directly. After a while, it would be logical to think that they'd become an issue to others. That's just a little example. But honestly, if you are doing your thing, you shouldn't have much to fear about permakills. That's just my two cents.
