How dare you bring logic and reasoning into this. Cops bad. Always search for no reason. /s

    😂

It's illegal to search someone solely because they have previously been convicted of some crime unless they are on probation. There needs to be probable cause established based on articulable facts. Driving behind random cars just to run their plate to see if someone is a felon just so you can stop and search them is not it. It just shows how uneducated you cop roleplayers are but for some reason you still decide to complain about criminal roleplayers.

You should look up Terry v Ohio.

Reasonable suspicion can go a long way in some IC situations.

Especially when there's a shooting every 15 seconds.

Also look up Pennsylvania v Mimms.

I know that the street lawyers are gonna hate that one.

The suspicion must be based on articulable facts. Going around randomly stopping every car and searching people inside is not based on reasonable suspicion lol. "Street lawyers are gonna hate that one", yeah that's why LSPD lost every single case where they randomly frisked people, right?

  3. Just lower the bonuses and make the negative side of using drugs more notable. You mix 3 different drugs? You will lose HP or have a chance of overdose. Make the addiction more significant so that you NEED to use the drugs again. There is really no downside to using drugs right now. This nonsensical and outdated drug system needs a complete revamp. Every shootout is basically two sides having invincible 200+ HP warriors running around.

People do get punished internally for things like this, when it's in violation of the rules or in outright violation of good portrayal. Some of them don't get to play in the faction anymore as a result of it or become barred from progression on those characters for good. Some just get CKed on the scene. This isn't usually the same in reverse by any measure. Acknowledged or not, illegal characters have the upper hand by design because the server wants you to thrive and LEO entities must foremost enjoy, as players, the uphill and often losing battle in engagement with that. So I'd personally prefer to see less of a us vs. them slander match when it's a realism debate.

Cops do shit that seem in violation of the rules? Report them. You see things you think are poor portrayal? Report it. You want a debate that might stay on this subject for about 30 mins and 20 replies, open a thread on it and pray it's productive and not another chasm between two groups that absolutely require one another to be relevant.

Why should we care about your internal punishment? Oh yes, people get a verbal warning internally because they blatantly broke rules, that will surely set a standard! How do illegal characters have the upper hand? You make no sense. If I mowed down two innocent and unarmed people for no reason I'd probably get a week ban while getting 20 OOC days in TTCF. Meanwhile this guy gets a verbal warning? But yeah, there are no double standards, right?

this happened in Chamberlain 2 days ago

Happens every day but people only shit on gang roleplayers for some reason. Took me three minutes to find these three videos... If I took twenty minutes of my time I could probably put a Netflix series together about this shit. I love how all these cops either get a verbal warning, 30 minute ajail or no punishment at all though. Would be interesting to see if the roles were reversed. But yeah, staff is very objective when it comes to punishing people, right?

It literally is, it happens ALL the time. PD reported AP after getting into a shootout against 4 people with ARs and claimed the "300 drug hp the shooters had" is the reason they lost.

Respectfully I'm saying is I've seen players get unbanned for the most disgusting things while my friend has people speaking ill on him and he's perm banned with the threat of extension if he continues to question why.

Well it just shows that if you have a closer relationship with staff members you can get away with pretty much anything. People get ajailed for tabbing out in public but some mass DMers or hackers get ignored or unbanned because they are snitching on factions, etc. The bias is sad to see and it will probably be the thing that will eventually ruin this server. There was corruption in IFM and they are still not transparent even though they promised more transparency months ago. It's a shit-show. Staff members interpreting rules however they deem fit is the most retarded thing ever. Why are there so many grey areas in rules that always get talked about but there are no official rule additions made that would prevent staff members interpreting rules however they want? The double standards here are disgusting. (Please don't ban me haha.)
