  2. This thread is more of a diary in the life of Firefighter Mark "Doc" Kangas, the diary is located in his locker inside Station Seven. (With this I hope to share my story of the rough life a Firefighter can be, in a realistic environment. This thread will be updated fairly regularly of my stories.) Backstory. Mark Kangas was born in Toronto, Canada on the 1st of November, 1990. He was born into a small family consisting of his mother, Jane and his dad, Ian. He had no siblings nor did he have many friends during his childhood. Mark moved around a lot during his childhood which eventually lead him to Ontario for the rest of his high school years. He worked hard at F. E. Madill Secondary School until the ripe old age of 19 where he left after seeking advice from his family on what his career would be. He was fairly perplexed on what to do so he moved over to America with the help of his old time friend from school, Hannah. Mark moved over to Utah at the age of 20 and began his formal studies into Information Technology at the University of Utah to brush up on his skills. After spending 4 years at the University, for passed his degree in Information Technology and began to seek out places of work. Eventually, Mark found a place at the Central Utah Medical Clinic as a receptionist. for picked up some very basic medical skills during his two-year tender there. He eventually resigned 2 years later because he got fairly bored of office work and wanted something in the line of duty. Kangas is a fairly basic kind of guy, he doesn't get into trouble and prefers to avoid confrontation with hostile situations. What he wants in life is a fulfilling job to suit him and to earn a good enough wage to supply himself and his family back home and to get far in his life. Service Record Name: Mark Tom Kangas Nicknames: 'Doc' Date of Birth: 1st of November 1990. Enlistment: 12th of October Certifications: Basic Life Support | Fire & Rescue Divisions: None. Promotion History: Probationary Firefighter - 12th of October 2018 Firefighter I - 1st of November 2018 Relationships Diary Logs 001 - Rough day 002 - Bad days outweigh the good 003 - What's the plans, Mark?

  3. We recently had a bit less development updates as I was on vacation and just came back! I'll be actively focusing on training the new junior developers on the next weeks in order to increase our development team activity and deliver more advanced updates during the following months. However we already have some cool features to show you about what's coming next! CEF phone A new cellphone is being designed and implemented, it's fully made in CEF by @Karner: A grid application system is also being added (temporary layout / icons): You can check more about the cellphone on Karner's streaming video: CEF UI / Trucking job We also have some exciting CEF UI coming for more features soon, as we are currently working on a work-in-progress menu for the new trucking job from Westie: The job will be a major economy change as it'll link all current jobs to businesses, creating a full cycle and product needs / supply / stocks that will be more advanced than the current crate system. The CEF menu will also be deployed for dealerships, shops, character creation etc in the future! Reworked garbage job Instead of spawning from the void, all houses / businesses will now generate trashes based on their activity. These trashbins will have to be picked up by garbage men. You will directly pay for the pickup through your taxes, and the trashes will be visible in front of your house / business If no one picks them up! Insurance companies The fire system is still being improved and we're almost fully satisfied with it, especially with the upcoming updates. We'll finally be able to add more in-depth systems bound to it and introduce insurance companies that will be responsible for insuring your house and vehicle (instead of the DMV). These companies will of course collect the insurance fees and will be able to adjust it, but will also have to pay for the full damages of your vehicles and houses! New job system The new job system is still being actively developed, as it requires major core changes. But you'll soon be able to join 10+ new roleplay jobs as described in the following devblog:

  4. Short description: Increasing the text limit. Detailed description: Well- you might know the problem. You like to RP detailed, you are doing something long and extensive - but you can't do it without splitting your /me in 5000 different parts? A frustrating experience - and I don't get why nobody made this suggestion before. It's simple, really... Raise the character limit for chat messages - from the current 50-or-so to 200 or even 500. Instead of People could do things like or (yes this is from another roleplay) Commands to add: None Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? It'd allow complicated roleplay, longer messages and even whole speeches to be readable in one bit, without having other text interfere and get you out of the imagination of what you were reading. It'd be much more motivating to perform detailled RP, as you're not forced to hack it into tiny bits and pieces anymore - the only downside to this that I can think of would be, that someone might put a long "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" message in there. But other than that? I see nothing bad about it. Aditionnal information:

  5. Yes please ❤️ . Even for simple sentences, if your character uses a couple of longer (or more technical) words, you'll have to cut it in two or even three parts, which will often be cut by other people, which often makes the conversation difficult to follow ?
