 Black P Stones

       Originally "Black P Stone Nation” was created in Chicago, Illinois and is one of the very few if not the only Los Santos gangs that has historical roots in another city, The Blackstone Rangers Resided on the Southside of Chicago with the leadership of Jeff Fort (born February 20, 1947) and another guy he was close friends with at the time named Eugene. (1987) Black P Stones like most black Chicago gangs, their names connected to a spiritual identity, and the Black Stone is a reference to the Muslim and Free spirit roots that the original founders had Black Stone and Kaaba Stone is a Muslim relic located in Mecca. (1957 ) Black P Stones in Los Santos with the approval of the Original 21. Initially it was based organization that operated in the West Adams area of Los Angeles near Crenshaw Blvd. (Baldwin Village).The “Stones” consists of one neighborhood The City in the Baldwin Village (Jungle ) and the Jungle Stones, hung out around the area usually in alleyways and on porches. The City Stones were previously known as the 21st Street Black P Stones at a time when there were no clicks. That means everyone from the village claimed 21st Street as it was part of the BPS identity. During the 1990s, clicks formed new identities under the City Stone Umbrella.

LOCATIONS: The Black P Stones usually hang out around Casa Cristina apartment complex on Carson Ave / Forum Drive (The Jungle).

 

 

American Drug War – A time in the 1900s where drugs swarmed the streets of America , BPS capitalized in the time being and used the drugs not to consume but to advertise the area and make money on the side.

In 2004, according to the LAPD, there were an estimated 700 members among the two neighborhoods

 

“Operation Red Dawn”  - Led to the arrest of 75 people in 2010, some gang members and some not. The Black P Stones are one of the most suppressed gangs in Los Angeles’ history of gang suppression with 2 federal indictments and a gang injunction all occurring between 2003 and 2011. Although the efforts to “dismantle BPS,” or “dismantling the gang’s infrastructure,” or to “erode” the gang have been claimed by federal authorities, BPS continues to be a presence in the community.
