books Posted July 4, 2021 Share Posted July 4, 2021 (edited) Los Santos celebrates Independence Day By PHOEBE HOLTER Los Santos, SA - The Fourth of July is a special date in our national calendar: Independence Day. For Americans across the nation, the date marks a federal holiday, an important historical touchstone and a reason to celebrate. The party spirit was definitely in the air in Legion Square in downtown Los Santos, as crowds flocked to enjoy celebrations organized by the local government and supported by numerous local businesses. Stalls for businesses such as Habeeb Taxis, Holland Private Security and other local businesses were present, as well as local public service agencies such as the LSSD and the LSFD. Local officials such as the newly inaugurated Mayor Marcus Cambridge were seen at the event, as well as a wide variety of law enforcement officers. As the night drew in, artists such as DOUX kept the crowd dancing and a firework display took place. Across the city in Little Seoul, many chose to mark Independence Day in a different way. A night market was held, where vendors from the local community sold their wares from pop-up tents and towards the end of the night, DJ Oro took to the stage to entertain the crowds gathered there. No matter how you choose to celebrate, whether it’s a cracking open a cold beer in your yard in Paleto Bay, dancing the night away in Legion Square or chilling with your friends in K-Town, LSNN wishes everyone a happy Independence Day!
