E/S 98 Main Street Mafia Crips

E/S 98 Main Street Mafia Crips

The 98 Main Street Mafia Crips (98MSMC) originated in the 1970's on Grove Street, between Strawberry Ave and Carson Ave. Brogue Ave and Roy Lowenstein Blvd acts as their dividing line with their enemies. They are also known as the Hot Boyz (Hkot Bkoyz). They are one of the most notorious and feared factors in all of Los Santos County.  They are cliqued up with the E/S 84 Main Street Mafia Crips, together they form the 984MSMC alliance.

Their main feuds are with the 83 Hoover Criminals, Innocence Family Gangster Bloods, 83 Gangster Crips, Hat Gang Watts Crip and the Grape Street Watts Crip gang. They beef the entire Hoover card, the NeigborHood Crip card (2x), as well as the Mad Swans Bloods and the 112 Broadway Gangster Crip gang.

Social Media and Gang-banging

Los Santos' crime rate has risen substantially in recent years, the social media feuds are partially responsible for the high crime rate, sparking bloody rivalries with other gangs around the whole county. Taunting through the use of social media is very prevalent in today's day and age. It goes as far as getting clothing made to specifically taunt opposing gangs. Gang members like to show off on social media, taking shots at anyone that crosses their path. Disrespecting other gangs can be done in a plethora of ways, be it the use of derogatory terms for the opposition, which is mostly derived from the name a gang holds. Every gang identifies with a specific block or certain street. The section a person represents will get dragged through the dirt. Street signs often get stolen and can be seen in the possession of a rival gang throughout social media. Gang members often throw up rival gang signs with one hand and use their other hand to point a middle-finger at it in pictures to get under the skin of their enemies. The disrespect goes as far as to slandering the deceased rivals or kicking over memorials that have been set up to honor fallen gang members. People will often use the letter "K" to signify that they are whatever is put in front of the "K" killers. e.g. "hoochieK" is put together with the derogatory term for all Hoovers "hoochies" and the letter "K". Rivals to the Hoover card will often use "hoochieK" or "hK" (Hoover Killer) to prove that they are really about their business and spread the message, that they are out to kill an enemy.

Whacked H's - We don't play! - Long Live Gotti3
The reason the Mafia Crips "whack" (another term for crossing something out) out the H's, is a two-sided beef with the "Hoovers", mainly the 83 Hoovers, often refered to as "Hoochies" by members of the 98 Main Street Mafia Crips. After a series of events where the Hoover Criminals were the instigators, a member of the Mafia Crip gang went looking for the problem. He rode out, armed with a Smith & Wesson handgun when he caught a group of Hoover members and took his chance.  He hopped out of his car to shoot the 924HCG members but they returned fired and he got shot in the head in the process. The police later confirmed that Gotti 3, also known as Pat Rat from 98 Main Street Mafia Crip died on the scene. No one was taken into custody and the suspects are still on the loose as the LSPD is investigating.

dtYQf0r.gifWar Story: Hoovers vs. Main Street Mafia Crips

The Main Street Crips and Hoovers used to be allied, mainly due to the enemies they have in common. They were often seen hanging out together and had no animosity towards each other. That had changed in the August of 2009, the Main Street Crips threw a party with the Hoovers in attendance. As the night went on a Main Street Mafia Crip member and a Hoover got into an argument over a female. Other people soon joined in on the conflict, the two groups started dissing eachothers gangs when guns were pulled and a shootout ensued. Nobody had died from the altercation but from then on out it was WARTIME! Even tho there were attempts to settle the beef, nothing was ever settled. About noon on August 16, 2009, Charnae Bray and the victim, Dequawn Allen, were returning from a swap meet on Carson Ave. Bray was wearing an orange hoodie and Allen had an orange bandana on. They were walking on Carson towards Roy Lowenstein Blvd when Bray saw the defendant approaching them. Bray wondered who he was since she had never seen him before. The defendant had on a white shirt, blue jeans and a hoodie. Bray and Allen were walking by a party supply store when the defendant walked up to them and asked Allen where he was from. Allen said he was from 94 Hoover. The defendant replied "Oh, yeah, is that right" and pulled out a gun from his waistband. Allen and Bray started running away. As Bray was running, she heard five shots. She looked back and saw Allen on the ground; he had two holes in his chest. Bray ran inside the store and called 911. A few days later, Bray identified the defendant as one of six men shown her by police detectives in a photographic "six-pack." The coroner identified four gunshot wounds to Allen and gave the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds. Besides Bray, there were two eyewitnesses to the shooting who testified.
