Adv Posted February 29 Share Posted February 29 Staff Update March 2024 Welcome Welcome to the March 2024 edition of the Staff Update! This month has been a big month for the community, as we continue to go from strength to strength we've taken some time to really try and refine some of the processes here, and with that, there's been some changes to the organisational structure of GTA World as a whole. We've managed to push a massive update for the gamemode that includes a lot of new scripts & an improvement in the welcoming process of our new players, but it's not over : clothes additions and more new features are coming very soon! We're beyond excited for what the future brings, and we've detailled these, as always, below. Management Update Over the span of our community's lifetime, we've grown from a small group of friends to thousands of active regular players, reaching peaks of over 1000 players on at one time. This is such an incredible achievement, and it's something we're very greatful of in terms of having the opportunity to grow and develop, and this is something we couldn't do without your support. For the longest time, we've had a very stable Management Team who have continued to push the community from strength to strength, overseeing all decisions in relation to this community, and we're very greatful for the hard work they continue to put in week by week to ensure that the community runs smooth as necessary. The Management Team are people who are picked by Nervous, and agreed by each of the Management Team to recognise their success in their roles in the admin team. They become part of a group that steer the direction of the community, make decisions on the rules that impact us, oversee each of the subteams and have a heavy involvement in the day to day running of the community as a more executive function. As part of our continued growth and development, it's only right that the management team continues to grow and form as we need it to, hence why we've created a new rank : Senior Management ! Senior Management The Senior Management rank is here to reward our most active & dedicated managers of the community, that have shown a true will to dedicate their daily time in helping each players individually while improving the server through their work & the way they led their team forward. Senior managers will be there to ensure that all managers are following our core values and that the server strategy from the development, community & assets aspects goes where we want it to be. Both Adv and Selena have been members of the staff team for years and long time managers, they fully deserve this promotion as they've done an incredible work as managers, and will keep doing even better in the months to come under these new responsabilities! Everett has been responsible for all of our web services and been here since the beginning with Nervous every day, and it's only right for him to also join the Senior Management Team, thank you for all you continue to do, and congratulations too! Additional Management Members As part of our continued growth it's important to recognise the achievement of some of our community's longest standing administrators, and welcome them to join the Management Team. It gives me great pleasure to welcome two people this month, Sharvit, and khadijeh. Sharvit Sharvit has been one of the community's longest standing Lead Admins for a long time. Having been a Staff Member since April 2020, he's almost consistently during that time proven himself to be an incredible asset to the strength of the community, working with Legal Faction Management and Staff Management at various points of his staff career. If you're a member of a legal faction leadership team, you'll have no doubt interacted with Sharvit heavily throughout your time in the community and he has always remained communicative, open, and willing to discuss things as necessary. His consistent effort in developing the Legal Faction side of the community hasn't gone unnoticed, and we're very greatful to welcome him to the Management Team. He will be working closely with Shanks, as before to ensure that all Legal Faction matters are met. khadijeh. khadijeh., previously known as honey., has been with our team since March 2021, and in that time has worked across almost every subteam in helping where she can. Starting out as a member of RPQM, she helped change the processes they used and helped organise them before moving to Illegal Faction Management and working her way up to lead the team. She brought in change and transparency, as well as communication to a team that can be the very strength of our illegal factions at times, and we're very greatful for her efforts there. After a long period leading IFM, she took the opportunity and decision to support the Staff Management team, and has since been part of the main strength behind the coordination of the team's role. We're thankful for her role, and very happy to promote her to Management, to work alongside Frezemis and Adv to ensure that our Staff Team's needs are met. Development Update This month has seen one of the biggest development updates we've seen in a while! With the 3.6 Update, not only have new systems been created, but lots of old systems have been improved and newly utilised. Our 3.6 update launched earlier this week showcased a huge amount of improvements, including: A fully formed Identification/ID System that is generated for players A new card game for you to play with your friends called 'ONE' A newly and heavily revamped drug system that will help make things better for all News Articles are now visible ingame and can be accessed! A newly optimised chatbox with more length than before More tooltips and hints showing as part of some brand new UI work. Huge updates to the ability to allow others to be introduced to the community, and to make the community more welcoming overall And over 60 new features, and addtions that have been made. You can view the whole changelog for the big update here. We're hugely greatful to the work the Modding and Development team continue to put into the community on a daily basis. Without their contributions, we wouldn't continue to advance and be able to provide the same unmatched experience every single day. This month's Stats Over the last month our team have answered: 10,791 Reports 7,990 Tickets 2,338 Apps Incredible numbers as always. We really appreciate all the hard work our admins put in on a day to day basis across the team.
