SCHEMES & REQUESTS BOARD INFORMATION

ILLEGAL FACTION MANAGEMENT

(UPDATED: 22/APR)

SCHEME SUBMISSIONS: OPEN

REQUEST SUBMISSIONS: OPEN

One of Illegal Faction Management's primary goals and motivations is to further expand on the potential roleplay opportunities criminal roleplayers have within the server. The IFM requests board is in place to facilitate this process where anyone can have a direct line of communication with an IFM member and hash out details on a specific request.

1. SCHEMES

Schemes open up the realm of possibilities by letting players expand the avenues in which they can make profit. These are intended to be long-term, very roleplay-oriented, and lean away from reliance on the script. While there are some limitations, you as a player are always welcome to bring up an idea you may have with these requests and get IFM's opinion on it.

If you have an issue with your scheme handler, you should contact @slothy & @Naeno through Forum PMs with details of the issue.

A list of available drugs can be found here.

1.1 General Information

IFM Schemes are not guaranteed specific rewards, whether that be monetary, drug-related, or item-related. The reward of whatever kind is determined by the handler of the scheme based on various internally measured factors. Handlers have full discretion over the management of these schemes and by submitting a scheme under IFM, you agree to understand this fact.

For all schemes, the following rules apply:

  • IFM permits one scheme per UCP.
    • Official Factions may hold a total of 5 schemes, this includes a total of 3 drug schemes (2 labs max).
    • Unofficial Factions may hold a total of 3 schemes, this includes a total of 2 drug schemes (1 lab max).
  • A character must be older than 4 weeks prior to applying for a scheme, this also applies to characters that have been namechanged. It is unlikely to have a scheme accepted if the character is not active.
  • It is unlikely for a scheme to be accepted if there is little to no IC/non-NPC risk involved.

  • A recent admin punishment will most likely result in a denial.

IFM does not allow the following schemes:

  • Schemes involving NPC cartels, the dark web, and cryptocurrency

  • Schemes involving 3D printing

  • Schemes that are paid out in weapons, ammo, or weapon components (this includes serial removing)

  • Schemes involving ATM robberies

  • Schemes involving animal theft or animal fighting

  • Catalytic Converter schemes

  • Vehicle schemes that are paid out in car/electronic parts

    • Factions holding a chopshop are not allowed to hold any vehicle-related schemes.

Examples of common schemes:

  • Port container robberies
  • vehicle export
  • fencing/resale
  • counterfeit goods (jewelry ones require access to a jewelry store or metal work business)
  • drug-related schemes, e.g. prescription fraud, psilocybin mushroom growth, smuggling, marijuana (see below), etc.

Marijuana Growth Scheme:

This is a unique scheme in which Illegal Faction Management provides a player with X amount of marijuana seeds per 30 days for them to grow and then sell off. This growth process will be done via the weed farming script.

  • Preference and priority will be given to current South Central roleplayers, but not exclusive to them

  • There must be some form of interior mapping

  • Seeds must not be sold off and are for the scheme requester's growth benefit only

  • Someone who is a currently major supplier may not apply, but someone else in their faction, if applicable, may

1.2 Drug Laboratories

This unique scheme initiates the usage of a drug laboratory to make harder drugs while being supplied the ingredients in small amounts to keep the lab running. This allows players to craft their own unique drugs and make a name for themselves through their products. Approved drug laboratories are checked regularly to ensure that they stay mapped appropriately.

NOTE: An up-to-date list of drugs can be found here.

A lab request must contain the following information:

  • Drug (methamphetamine, PCP, etc.)
  • Property (you must own or actively rent the property and map in the lab accordingly)
  • An explanation of how this fits your character
  • The method you will be using along with references/research

2. REQUESTS

Requests exist to offer players and factions other avenues of acquiring assets that do not fall under the scheme system. These are primarily used for one-time approval of items, properties, robberies, or character identities. Requests are not meant to be used for reoccurring roleplay that requires consistent involvement from IFM, those avenues of roleplay are better suited for schemes.

2.1 Heists

Players planning to conduct a large-scale business robbery (otherwise known as a heist) must obtain permission from Illegal Faction Management. These requests are not for a quick and easy gas station stickup but instead intended for elaborately planned and sophisticated robberies. Do not expect to have a request accepted with minimal effort, or planning, or if the participants have recently poor admin records. These are very high-risk, high-reward scenarios.

NOTE: ATM heists and gun store robberies for weaponry are not allowed.

Heist Fine Print:

  • Death to police during a heist may result in a Character Kill for any participants.
  • Participants may not be involved with the business on any other characters.
  • If the business belongs to another faction, participants may not be involved with that faction on any other characters.
  • Items will not typically be spawned, what is present within the business is what will be available for the taking, unless the property contains a custom item script.

A heist application must contain the following information:

  • Name of the Coordinator
  • Name of all participating players
  • Factions involved
  • Targeted business
  • Targeted business' faction (if known)
  • Reasoning behind the request
  • Surveillance and intel on the property
  • Plan of action (entry & exit)

2.2 Properties

Illegal Faction Management works alongside Property Management in order to manage properties that have been requested for a faction's usage and further their purpose as illegal entities under the umbrella of the organization. Factions are able to request different types of properties via IFM Faction Property Request on the UCP. While properties such as businesses always go through the normal Property Management request process, IFM offers the following to illegal factions that have been approved for at least 3 weeks.

Residential Properties

Turf-oriented factions such as, for example, gangs have the ability to liaise with IFM to get assistance with finding available properties in their approved area.

To inquire about properties, faction leadership needs to reach out to IFM via their faction channel on the private IFM Discord.

The receiver of the IFM-conditioned property must acknowledge the following:

  • The property cannot be sold to another player under any circumstances. A transfer needs explicit IFM approval.
  • If the faction closes or the character is Character Killed out of the faction, the property will be returned to IFM and the owner will be reimbursed for Market Price and Furniture Price.
  • If the property is lost due to inactivity or a ban, no refunds will be given.

Other Properties

Specific properties can be requested via IFM Property Request, however, this is a system IFM has set up with Property Management. In many cases, Property Management is better equipped to handle requests that come in and players may be told to instead submit a property request.

Examples of what can be requested via IFM:

  • a faction clubhouse for an MC's chapter
  • a chopshop
    • Chopshops are under strict rules. Components will be set at 1 and they will never be used to modify vehicles, they are there as chop shops and not mechanic garages. The 1 component allows them to function script-wise. Anyone caught abusing this will be punished and the chop shop may be revoked from the faction.

    • Only official factions may request a chopshop.

A request must contain the following information:

  • The type of property you are requesting/name of it.
  • If the property is already owned.
  • Where the property is located (pictures & coordinates are required).
  • Why does your faction need it (OOC)?
  • What is the IC reasoning and backstory for the property?

Safehouses

A perk granted to factions that have reached official status is the ability to hold 2 safehouses. Properties marked as safehouses appear as ghost properties, meaning that, while they are script-owned by a character, they do not show up under the owner's name, e.g. when LEO look up the property or owner. They are not a way for a faction to safely dump all of their nefarious goods without concern, these properties still have the ability to get investigated and are subject to frequent IFM check-ups.

To mark a property as a safehouse, faction leadership needs to reach out to IFM via their faction channel on the private IFM Discord.

The requirements for a safehouse are:

  • These properties will not be given to characters that never visit them, or only visit them to stash their weapon/gun drop. The character holding these must be relatively active.
  • The property must be mapped realistically, complying with all active PM standards.
  • The property must have an appropriate and realistic /stashinfo set. (That means no unrealistic John Wick-esque concrete-covered chests.)
  • The property cannot have any sort of alarm.
  • The property cannot be a multi-interior apartment or business.

NOTE: Any property-related rule-breaking will result in the forfeit of the safehouse. If the property is abused in any way, the contents within will be deleted along with the safehouse.

2.3 PF Distribution Request (Rule 13)

Players interested in allowing their well-developed and long-standing characters to distribute parts of their monthly PF license goods are welcome to apply for special permission from IFM via the UCP panel. This is to avoid PF license abuse and this being used as a get-around for the weapon supplier role when guns, ammo, and/or attachments are being sold or handed off willingly.

For these requests, IFM will take into consideration the longevity and development of the character, the overall in-game activity on the character, the players' admin record, the effort put into the application, and more.

The request needs to contain the following information:

  • The character's background story and events leading up to them wanting to part ways with their legally acquired firearms.
    • Unedited RP screenshots and/or chatlogs are appreciated.
  • Who do you wish to distribute to?
  • What do you wish to distribute (guns, ammo, attachments)?

2.4 Fake IDs

Players may create and receive fake IDs that can be used just like any other ID via the inventory system. To obtain these licenses, all that is needed is a "Fake ID Request" on the UCP with ample screenshots of an example of the license creation plus what they would be created for (the reasoning behind it) along with an estimate of how many fake IDs you would like to create. These IDs can then be used, for example, for specific schemes and other roleplay scenarios. IFM will then review the application, and if approved, give the character X amount of fake ID kits before a new request needs to be filed. More information about the fake ID system can be found here.

2.5 Special Character Application

Players may apply to get permission from the Head of Faction Management to roleplay a character (not a group) that is allowed to do certain extreme events. This can be done for existing characters as well as characters that would be created for this application.

For example, this can be;

  • Arsonists
  • Serial Killers
  • Terrorists

NOTE: Players applying for a special character will have to agree to a number of terms if the application gets accepted. The terms are discussed and decided on a case-by-case basis.

For this, please forum message @Shanks with the format below.
