Republican Chairman calls for Death after the return of the Death Penalty

San Andreas, Los Santos - The San Andreas Democratic Party fiercely condemns a recent statement made by the Chairman of the Republican Party of Los Santos, Jonathan Spencer, on Facebrowser. Mr. Spencer's citation of Leviticus 20:13, a verse from the Bible, has raised concerns about its terrifying implications regarding the death penalty and the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals.

San Andreas has become the first state in the history of the United States to reinstate the death penalty after having previously repealed it. The San Andreas Democratic Party is deeply concerned about this development and strongly condemns the decision to reintroduce such a flawed and unjust system. These concerns have been amplified after GOP Chairman Jonathan Spencer appeared to call for the death penalty against homosexuals, in what he quoted as a "straightforward teaching" of the Bible.

 

It is in no way, shape or form acceptable to promote violence and discrimination towards any group of individuals. The Democratic Party calls upon our fellow citizens to join us in opposing the vile statements from Republican Chairman Jonathan Spencer, and call for his resignation from his seat.
