That's what this whole thread is about. That you have to /hold/ your Y button to turn the engine on.

Having to hold a "keybind" to turn the engine on would be smoother than it is right now. There's many video games where you have to hold your button to turn the engine on.

Hey! There should be some changes to the 1 second engine wait. Because there's many people who find it to be buggy/annoying and want it to be removed. The idea of a motor taking a little while to start up is a good one, so here is my suggestion for changing it without having to remove it completely. There should be a ignition sound effect during the time a player is holding the Y key (Twisting the key in ignition or smth) and to turn engine on you have to HOLD the Y key not press it once like it is right now. If you don't hold your Y key long enough, the car engine just stalls and won't start. You have to hold it maybe like 1-2 seconds for it to start. For bad maintenance vehicles, you would have to hold the Y key for 2-3 seconds. This suggestion would fix the current problem where players feel that this update is buggy or laggy, it would be more smoother than right now. What y'all think? REPLY and give feedback!

Actually, to make it better you should add a ignition sound and to turn engine on you have to HOLD the Y key, till the engine is on. If you don't hold your Y key long enough, your engine just stalls and won't start. You have to hold it maybe like 1-2 seconds. And please, add a key twisting/engine sound when player is holding the Y key. It would be so good.

I suppose that this engine delay update should've meant that turning on engines would take time. To make it better, they could maybe remove the Y hotkey and the only way to turn on the engine would be /engine (which would take time about 1-2 seconds cus of you writing it in the chat)
