Name: MediSurgical Comment: The Hippocratic oath doesn't say you can't have an opinion about the penalty. It means you can't cause harm to another. I'm doubting your credentials here as well since the issue with violence far exceeds the simple minded view of bad parenting or environmental factors. Instead showing, that there are more specific factors and complexity. This is the view of the public more so than professional.

I dont like talking for too long about something, so i'll dot point the pros and cons objectively and state a summary. Pros - Semi able to create interesting rp, dependant on scripts - Easy start for new people financially - IF you find good people, RP can be fun - Some options for employment outside of bartender/clerk rp - Current new easy lease system on offices/mall - Constant development which isnt appreciated enough, even if with a few bugs - Admin, who essentially work for free and deal with a lot of BS, myself on occassion included - People are usually pretty happy to help with new players not knowing commands etc Cons - Established group cliques in a lot of places - Very odd justifications made on characters and some weird justifications on "high earner" jobs that don't coincide with reality, but then some that do make sense, being denied certain things - More crime than South Africa or Brazil - People starting fights for no reason in almost all businesses or car meets is not realistic - Current state of illegal RP is basically a justification to be shitty to others for some mild enjoyment - Stating realism, then not including laws or other realistic things that exist in LA - Some growing number dont RP things that are inconvenient to their play to win, protagonist mentality The server as stated brings me back on nostalgia. In 2021 the server was arguably better as even in Davis neighbourhoods, people commited crimes youd expect and not every second person drove a black car with a mask ID. I have noticed a decline in legal RPers due to the harrassment that is unrealistic and damaging. If i didnt enjoy RPing with a group of people, id not have stayed as long. Its the people, not necessarily the server that keeps me coming back.

You are right, but imagine being someone who doesn't do anything that is that obvious and wrong, getting RPQM'd and having your RP stonewalled for months and all requests denied. I think that would be where problems arise with it being so easy to make and so hard to finalise due to admin work load.

What did i learn. Minorities are actually majorities here. I wont explain, you already can make plenty of thoughts on which ones i mean.
-
I wish I had your level of blind optimism in the process. I've heard of so many normal people getting RPQM'd for the dumbest reasons. I guarantee no one here is brave enough to test this theory of it being no big deal. If someone makes a big enough claim. It won't be no big deal. But the fact it requires no real, tangible proof that has actual merit, makes it not a non-issue. Keep being positive!

Simply to add to this. I used to run two businesses as an operations manager and go between them four days a week, then do paperwork and then help run a clothing brand with a friend online. Then went out twice a week and did that for four years, no issue. It's not impossible. It's a matter of wanting to work hard and a lot of caffeine.

Its not like there is a scam of a casino that charges entry that is named after a precious stone in some area with a race course... oh wait. Nevermind... Guess everyone just goes to Royal Rebel to not get charged to walk in. Never payed to enter a casino IRL. Its not a thing here.

0/10 Insulting someone instead of making a point off the bat. Try again by not insulting them. Otherwise your points are personal.

Yes it is. It removes people abusing a system. That only is a positive.
-
Exactly. Allowing this cause illegal RPers are lazy and dont feel like doing anything than destroy the few businesses left will drive people away as there wont be anything open.
-
Youd get CKd. Thats how stupid this is.
-
This is exactly it. These laws exist in real life and should have at least some portrayal on here where police actively shut down and imprison those that do things like this. But there shouldn't need to be any lobbying. It's been a law IRL for ages. It would add RP for legal and illegal side (Assuming they don't just do it for cash) to have state and police support, rather than this being some borderland third world where this is normal behaviour. CK's for racketeering and extortion should be thrown out too. It's too easy for gangsters to just CK anyone that says no or burn down property. Both which would cause waaay more issues than resolve. Then police do nothing about it IC and act like its no big deal. RICO needs to be in this game and acted on and enforced to create more RP, rather than just having no choice than to do what 10 people tell you in fear that they will be approved to CK you with dogshit reasoning by IFM.

Modify Rule 9 to include suicide as disgusting RP.

+1 - It's pretty cringe -
This issue isn't IC. People don't need to spend their real life hours earning money for lazy RP. It has to be controlled to stop lazy people using it as an exploit for easy money. People want more businesses open, then add actual IRL law consequences like RICO has.
