  1. I completely get where a lot of you are coming from, with it often being portrayed poorly, and obnoxious, therefore ruining your own immersion. However it also isn't completely outlandish that these people exist, particularly in a city that replicates irl Los Angeles. I know it's easy to forget if you are european (I am too), or live anywhere but USA, or even if you are American and want to portray america how you experience it personally, but Los Angeles/Los Santos is diverse. There's boring people and there's the obnoxious weird people, the entire premise of GTA 5 SP is satire of this entire thing. While there character might be obnoxious, if I experience that, I just RP my character seeing them as a freak and making no effort to interact with them again, just like you would irl. I also think perhaps seeing a disabled character and automatically branding them under the notion that they're trying to be special or main character is problematic in itself. Disabled people aren't unique, really. And i'm sure there are roleplayers out there who choose the disability of the day just because they want to be special but we shouldn't brand every character with a disability under the same description, at least not OOCly. There is also an argument on the opposite side of the coin that everyone roleplays the same thing and so anyone slightly reaching out of that norm is deemed 'trying to be unique' when actually they're just creative writers, depending on the character and portrayal. These characters can also be fun if done right. And like someone said prior to me, some people have been roleplaying here since 2017. The vast majority roleplaying in SAMP for years before that. It's a game, and any game gets boring if you do the same shit. People have thousands and thousands of hours here. That's why mods etc exist to offer different experiences to continue playing a game you like without being bored. If someone wants to try something to get them out of the slump of being bored of GTAW, as long as their aim at all times is to keep their RP grounded and authentic, good for them. The truly bad ones can be reported to RPQM, it's as simple as that imo.
  2. Characters that are a little bit of both. Even legal characters can do illegal actions (e.g. taking drugs) and illegal characters can do legal actions (e.g. a business). The best characters i've interacted with have a realistic combination of both to create interesting stories.
  3. MC PATCH GRAPHIC DESIGN TUTORIAL I've had a few people ask me how to get a sewn-on effect for MC patches for use in kutte mods etc. For context, I have created the patches for two of the server's fictional MCs over the years, starting with Bastards MC and now my current faction, Caballeros MC. While I am by no means an expert on the matter, and I'm sure there's an easier/alternate way of doing this, I thought I would put my personal process into video form for those wanting to start an MC that may not know where to begin with making the patches for their upcoming faction. This video was recorded especially with this tutorial in mind. Please bare in mind that I didn't spend as much time on this as I would if I was making the real thing, therefore compared to the finished products of my previous work, the video patch may not look as good. However if you dedicate a good chunk of time following the tutorial and putting your own spin and personal preferences on it, you can have the same, if not better, outcome! Here is the real version of Caballeros MC patch that I put much more time into. No reason why you can't do yours even smoother than this. THE VIDEO: As the video states, this is a simplified version so feel free to reach out to me if you need further help. TO BE ADDED LATER: - How to make other patches (Front of kutte patches etc), though the process is extremely similar and you may be able to figure that out from this video alone - How to add said patches to a texture file for modders to use
  4. +1 all this can possibly do is give more people access to business RP and naturally with more access comes more variety, longevity and server engagement. A business can rarely be mapped for less than 50 furni slots so regardless of this change, business owners will still rely on a premium user for mapping, making the premium dono tier still very much useful. This small change would make it so that rather than rp being indirectly dictated by who you know OOC, it will instead come down to individual success IC.

    Lazy Lozano

Nathan 'Lazy' Lozano Nathan 'Lazy' Lozano was born and raised in El Burro with his parents (Manuel & Romina Lozano) and his younger brother, Hugh 'Hewey' Lozano. His home life was turbulent from the get-go; his Father was a bad influence, involving himself with the local gangs, particularly focusing on drug trafficking, while his Mother had an on-and-off again relationship with a cocktail of drugs, usually in sync with her on-and-off relationship with Manuel. Nathan became more than a big brother to Hugh but also a carer, to him and to his Mother during particularly bad comedowns. At the age of 17, his Father was killed at the hands of a cop who believed he was armed after he had evaded the police in his car. The Lozano brothers never truly found out if he was armed, but the word on the streets is that this was a case of police brutality, and they treated it as such as they didn’t want to put the blame on their old man. After this event, their Mother spiralled deeper into addiction and lost her job - their only income. She continued to feed her addiction by selling herself on the streets and sometimes she would be out of the house for days without a trace. Never knowing if she was going to come back or not, Nathan took the responsibility of parenting, dropping out of school at 17 years old just a year before he would get his diploma in order to get full-time work. This limited his options in life and his resentment and anger was directed at the people that had taken his Father away, as well as any authority or overall government system. In late 2022, Nathan noticed a change in Hewey. His grades began to slip, he was coming home in the early hours and surrounding himself with bad influences. The usual tale in East Los. Noticing this, Nathan aims to push him in the right direction - or at least, a better direction, dragging him along with an older crowd hoping it will force him to grow up and turn from the gang life. This was made easier when Sergio 'Switch' Vargas was released from jail, bringing together all of the young and middle-aged men in the barrio that wanted more loyalty and brotherhood in their life, all under the name of Latin Pride. Older men in Nathan's life, such as Manuel 'Manny' Guerrero, knew of his Father vaguely, and replaced the parental figure by teaching him discipline and the MC culture, eventually culminating in Manny sponsoring Nathan as his prospect following the formation of Caballeros MC. This thread will showcase Nathan's development as he attempts to balance honest work, caring for his brother and addict Mother, and his commitment to the Caballeros MC. THE STORY SO FAR This section will briefly summarise collections of events and turning points, for my own ease of looking back on my character without sifting through SS or for those reading later on. CHAPTER 1: ESTABLISHING Nathan has been prospecting for the Caballeros MC in East Los for a couple of months. During this time, he has worked hard to impress his older peers, aiding at events, fetching beers and finding ways of bringing profit to the club, legal or otherwise, while they wait for the all-important meet for blessings to fly the Caballero colours with the dominant clubs in the state. On the other hand, he has been making irresponsible financial decisions, investing more than he should into improving his bike, his pride and joy, and partying until the sun comes up. His younger brother using his own wages to follow in his footsteps. These choices resulted in the Lozano brothers being kicked out of their childhood home, the landlord sick of waiting for rent money that rarely ever arrives. Low on cash, and their Mother MIA since the kick, they moved into a rundown shared apartment in Mission Row, where they sleep on mattresses and live with other low-income individuals. Motivated by not even owning a bed, and wanting to invest in the necessary space and equipment to start up a band with Hugh and Nina, Nathan sought better employment, as well as planning extracurricular activities with Manny and Rio, two patched members of the MC. To his surprise, a fine dining restaurant in Del Perro accepted his application for bartending; despite having to swallow his pride in doing a job he never wanted to do, he quit his short-lived garbage career and focused on his new higher paying job. Unfortunately, this wage wasn't enough for Nathan, either, as he continues down the path of seeking money in ways that he would have never considered a few months prior.
