LS may be based on Los Angeles but it's an island that could be located anywhere on the West Coast, including somewhere a little more to the north. Paleto has redwood forests, fireflies, and a lumberjack lodge for Christ's sake. Fireflies don't exist west of the Rocky mountains. It snows in those Cali mountains just about every year anyway and it's only about 30 miles from Watts to the Angeles National Forest. Bringing the snow down a little further to give the server a few days of snow playtime can be a happy medium between realistic and creative.

It's fairly common to be running, driving around, customizing your character, waiting for rp somewhere, or just sitting still on FD/PD patrol for more than 5 minutes without having to type something. I still don't think automatic kicks should be a thing. Someone checking in to see if you're actually AFK is always best.. edit: what about a mix of the two? What about making it mark you if: - you haven't moved in more than an hour AND - you haven't sent any kind of text, command, or arrow key input in more than 30 minutes

No arguments with this, actually.. Being affiliated as a satellite crew makes a lot more sense than having a cartel start fresh from ground zero. And the note on female leaders makes more sense.. Maca's post originally seemed like they were just useless and not allowed to be illegal org leaders of any kind. Traditional Russian & Italian mobs not allowing it makes more sense.

Small bone to pick with this part. There is definitely a heavy cartel presence on the west coast and it affects everything from the drug & gun trade to kidnappings, extortion, and using coyotes/illegal immigration to further move their product in. It's not as heavy as it is in Colombia or Tijuana but the whole point of their existence there is to smuggle their product here, so they have satellite groups maintaining their power in their point-of-sale cities. And on the other point, we're in 2018. Traditionally those cartel and mafia roles have been filled by men but there are plenty of crews run by or containing high-ranking officials that have been women.
