Degu
Paleto Lumberyard Arsonist Arrested... Sings Black Betty? Written By Gabriel Stone, 16/06/2023 Above: The lumberyard fire. In the early hours of the morning of the 2nd of June, shortly after midnight, emergency services had attended a fire at the lumberyard beneath Paleto Sawmill. In attendance was LSFD, San Fire and San Andreas Park Rangers. The fire engulfed parts of the lumberyard and were suppressed by the efforts of the Fire Department, engine seven acting under the command of Engineer Capra and Firefighter Olmeda. Following the fire, San Fire concluded that foul play had been involved and refused to comment further due to the case being handed over to the arson prevention team. Also following the incident was an unusual influx of wildlife, including aggressive coyotes and one rare white puma, though San Fire was unable to determine why the site of the fire had attracted so many animals and sent samples off for rabies testing. Then forwards to 6PM on the 15th of June, San Fire announced that the Arson Prevention Team was on the move to the Los Santos County to conduct a search warrant in relation to the Paleto Lumberyard incident and subsequently the fingerprints found at the scene. The suspect was deemed to be potentially armed and dangerous. The patrol caught sight of the suspect on Joshua Road outside of Sandy Shores and a Mary unit (motorcycle) attempted to perform a felony stop on the suspect who was also on a motorcycle. The suspect then evaded law enforcement and a pursuit ensued. During the operation, the same pursuit had to be reinitiated five times due to the evasive maneuvers carried out by the suspect on his motorcycle. According to San Fire, the suspect fled back and forth to the city limits. Shortly after the suspect returned to the county he opened fire on one of LSSD's motorcycle units, though it's unclear if anyone was injured by this. After this, LSSD's Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and Rangers joined the pursuit which ended in Paleto. The suspect abandoned his motorcycle and ran into the Willie's supermarket, barricading himself inside. Both SEB and the Arson Prevention Team attempted to reason with the suspect verbally but negotiations failed. Above: The suspect being detained. The suspect refused to respond to verbal negotiations and so SEB ensued with entry. Upon SEB entering the store, the suspect ran from the building and was apprehended only around forty feet from the entrance of the supermarket. The suspect was detained on charges of arson, criminal possession of a firearm, discharge of a firearm and evasion. However, the suspect seemed to be in good spirits as he sat in the back of the cruiser as he could be heard singing 'Black Betty' loudly through the open window.
