Adding Italics

Roleplaying is process of telling a story through expression of emotion and the description of action and setting, making it a close relative to typical story telling through novel writing. Often to put emphasis on words or actions within a novel, italics are utilized. Within GTA World, players often feel the need to put similar emphasis on words, however they resort to either typing the word in all caps, or surrounding the word with forward slashes. I feel that the use of italics could not only improve the appearance of text, but also allow a new dimension of express for players to utilize. 

 

I do know not the logistics of editing GTA V's typeface. For all I know this could be a nearly impossible task. However if it is achievable, I feel the system could be implemented without the need for an interface. Players could hold Control while typing to use italics, or simply surround the text with **.

+1 would really add depth.

I'm pretty sure the standard is to put slashes around the word like so... /this/. I think adding italics would make it easier for new players to understand it though.

Just capitalize the text like THIS, why complicate it?
