Hey there!

I am interested in your ad, but I have a few questions with regards to this vehicle.

First on the specifics of the chassis;

  • It is mentioned as being a restoration. Was this chassis an original GT500, or this a conversion from a different model?
  • If this is a pure restoration, is this a competition light-weight variant, or the heavier Lusso variation?
  • Who or which company performed the restoration? Who or which company performed the new paintwork?

Secondly on the provenance of the vehicle;

  • Who were the previous owners, if this information is available and are there any more details on the vehicle's life since 1962 until the current ownership?
  • The mileage is listed, is this compound mileage of pre- and post restoration? If so, what is the pre-restoration mileage?
  • Does the chassis have any racing heritage, or has this been used purely as a show vehicle?
  • It is mentioned as being a feature vehicle in the March 2021 Elegance magazine. has it been featured elsewhere?
  • Has it been featured in any classic cars shows? If so, which, and has it won any awards?

Please let me know.

Regards,

You'll find this hard to believe, but I tracked down a buyer and am standing next to them currently, the moment this reply was posted. Apologies!

The car is an original GT-500 body. It's a light-weight Berlinetta model- the restoration was supervised by Grotti Classiche, as well as the paintwork and clear-coat.

Previous owners on the island include Hannah Davis, Alyx Rodriguez, and myself. History prior to that is spotty, but a gentleman named 'Venser Malkovich' owned it from 1973 to 2021 and it appears it was sold on an estate sale following his death.

Mileage consists of post-restoration mileage. Previous mileage was around the twenty thousand mark.

The chassis has no known racing heritage and has served as a centerpiece and show car only.

As far as features, Elegance has featured this vehicle, as well as the centerpiece for the Diamonds Casino during an opening a few months ago.

Awards are inconclusive. Based on the paperwork and history I have read, Mr. Malkovich purchased this car and let it sit with the tank drained and battery disconnected for years in an underground garage before it was sourced in San Andreas.
