Uncut
The Culture Of Money Laundering By John Rourke | Jul 07, 2023 What is Los Santos' culture nowadays? It's mostly made up of private owned businesses which are being used as fronts for the process surrounding money laundering. Nowadays Los Santos survives mostly on bars like the ones pictured under this paragraph. This is a perfect example. It's a desolete bar in the outskirts of Downtown, bordering in the underbelly of South Central. It's a prime example of money-laundering. This bar isn't visited frequently by anyone but a few motorcycle enthusiasts who probably own this bar. A few motorcycles outside and fewer passing people getting a beer. But how does this business survive with rising property costs and regulations. Illegaly earned currency is being put in this cash business and vanishes with legally earned currency, making it impossible to trace it back. Little Seoul, Los Santos. The business covered on the picture above is a beauty and nail salon. Does this business seem that it gets visited by people such as young women who aspire to be like FaceBrowser models or fourty year old mothers? Probably not. Nothing but a few young and imposing looking figures infront. As I personally walked by them I have gotten threatening looks which do not seem very inviting for a beauty and nail salon. The figures pictured are most likely acquaintances with the business behind, making this probable money laundering front a hotspot for recruiting young people into various criminal enterprises. Otherwise why would be aggressively looking young men stand infront a business such as this? Is this was Los Santos turned into? No culture but a few businesses used for money laundering. And what does the city do? We see no investigations turned fruitful or no other efforts to revitalize culture in Los Santos such as building community centers. But what else is being built? Another police station in midst of Downtown with two other police stations in a distance of a few miles. Is this what the citizien get? Just another monument of the police force? With this building, the city personally tells us that we are not a city anymore, not even a community. Just a police station that doesn't even seem to be fruitful enough to halt the money laundering in this town. Welcome to Los Santos. Edited July 12, 2023 by Uncut 9 Link to comment
