  1. Merry Christmas! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHVIVNoIPVM
  2. Short Description: Real-Time Weather Mod. Detailed Description: Greetings! Prior to the recent discussion and closure of the "Snow" topic I hadn't realized the team has to manually reset the weather on a constant basis in order to match the weather in and around the Los Angeles area. I had brought this up before in discord, but I wasn't very descriptive on what the mod does and how it works. What I'd like to suggest is the integration of a GTAV mod called RealWeather if at all possible. "What does RealWeather do?" you might ask? I dunno, Google it. Just kidding. It's a real-time weather mod that updates and matches in-game weather with any region you choose via an *.ini file and an API key linked to openweathermap.org. I've used this mod before and was amazed by it as it's pretty damn accurate. I'm just not even sure how server-side mods work or how this can be done, but if it's a possibility I think the team might benefit from it, as it's less stuff y'all gotta worry about. Commands to add: None. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? Alleviate one of many burdens the GTAW team has to endure so they can focus on other things. 3. Welp, I'm all outta reactions for the day, apparently. So posting instead. I'm really digging the screenies and the stories they're portraying! Awesome concept and best of luck with your faction's future!
  4. Can you please hit me up on discord when you get a chance: Beardwing#0825 There's a lot of different reasons that could be happening.
  5. The economy definitely needs some fine tuning, but not in favor of players who want the biggest house and fastest car their first week in. Prices for comfort items are absurdly inflated right now because people can afford to pay it. You make a player second guess reckless spebding through taxes, bills and the like prices will eventually reach a more realistic level. Grinding certain jobs took priority over roleplay and that's likely something the team doesn't want to see. But it seems the team is slowly implementing features that will eventually balance everything out and I'm all for that. I definitely appreciate the 40 hour pay boost, as anyone who played SWG knows how crappy it was starting out having to run all over the map and grind mobs just to earn enough credits to afford a shuttle to the next city over. They gave us that bonus to reach a reasonable level early on so we can have a car and house to start with. If people want to jump into GTAW as some oil tycoon then they're gonna have to work their way up and earn it, and maybe in the process they'll gain a little more appreciation for their character as they build their story.
  6. Hell yeah, Anthony. Cool dude and he's really moving up in the (GTA.) world. Drannon had the honor of picking him up from the airport about a week ago and keeps bumping into him every so often.
  7. And a whole mish-mash of golden era Christmas music.
  8. Aww yiss, bike thread! It's a 2009 Electra Glide with the Ultra Classic trim, so it probably cost an absurd amount new. I took the dresser of and added a quick connector for it since I don't really use it except for longer rides out of state.
  9. Nice! On another note: neither of our hat's seem to show up for eachother in game. I wonder if it's an inside cell issue or the hats being bugged in general.
  10. XD Aye, I lack originality when it comes to character names. Been using Drannon since 1999 on EQ. And aye. Second night back in LS and Drannon's already getting into trouble. In his defense, though, it was a really bad night for him that just snowballed until he lost his schitt and took it out on an inanimate object.
  11. In our defense, our Goldshire nonsense is mostly off-server trolls rolling level 1 alts.
  12. We are trying to assume we know what Rockstar intended as continuity when none of us have the authority to do so. GTAO features major lore characters who not only acknowledge the single player story but also involve the player into that universe as their own unique character. Not once has Rockstar stated every job we pull for a major character doesn't matter because they don't take online seriously. I get it, upside down race tracks and deathmatches in the streets, but I'm not going to try to cherry-pick what I accept as lore based on that because I don't have the right to speak for Rockstar. Snow is neither unimmersive, lore-breaking nor inconsistent, and that horse has been beaten to a pulp with examples of why. How players may react to it can be, however. Snow is an inconvenience, especially for those who aren't used to operating a vehicle through it. I've rode my bike in heavy rain with standing water as well as slush, but never through snow. Since I'm trying to project as much of myself onto my character as possible I would be inconvenienced ICly both physically and financially in that I would have to rent a car until the snow passed. If someone is seen rolling on twos through snow and can't provide a reasonable explanation as to why their character would, but rather post an OOC screen-grab saying "But this guy is doing it so every rider must be able to" then that warrants administrative action. To preemptively try to prevent players from breaking immersion by doing wheelies through snow because it might cause the server to devolve into coke-fueled monkey revolutionary roleplay is really out-of-line reasoning.
