  1. LSAC's first exhibition THEME STATEMENT "Nightmares: the gone and what is yet to come" emerged as our thematic inspiration during the spooky Halloween season. While this time of year is typically associated with fun and festivities, LSAC aims to delve into a more cerebral aspect of fear. Our intention is to explore the notion of fear within the collective imagination, emphasizing that the emotion is often rooted in memories or projected onto the future, rather than solely based on the present moment. We firmly believe that fear is a complex interplay of experiences, with the mind weaving connections between the past and the future to conjure its own unique nightmares. Memory and imagination serve as the conduits through which we process and manifest our fears. In this upcoming exhibition, we will spotlight the interconnection of these three pivotal elements—memory, imagination, and fear—across the various art pieces that will be featured.
  2. Will be sold for starting bid if no new bids are made within 48 hours.

Our primary mission is to celebrate and champion contemporary art in all its forms, encompassing painting, photography, videography, installations, performance art, and more. In our quest to create a thriving artistic community, we're on the lookout for interesting spaces throughout Los Santos and its picturesque countryside. Rather than confining ourselves to a single gallery, our name reflects our commitment to fostering an artistic haven that is not restricted to one location. This approach ensures that our artists have multiple opportunities to exhibit their work, and it guarantees accessibility to art for both dedicated enthusiasts and those simply curious about the creative world. As we chart our course forward, we envision a horizon filled with free art lessons and artist residencies, a testament to our dedication to nurturing emerging talent. It's essential to emphasize that, at this juncture, the Los Santos Art Collective is not driven by profit. Our aim is to cover the costs associated with our initiatives and to reinvest any funds generated back into the collective, enabling us to continue our mission of promoting the artistic spirit within our community. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ORGANIZATIONAL CHART Resident Artists Hobby Artists Cullen Bohannon Jacqueline Cooper Hannah Harper Jane Morales Amateur Artists Faith Labelle Beckett Mitchell Maxine Parker Gabriel Stone Elijah Vega Professional Artists Khalida Aquila Cassius Griffin Logistics Team Catering Sofia Adriani (Al Dente's) Logistics Assistants Edward Corrente Alfredo Marin ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ JOIN OUR TEAM ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ POINTS OF CONTACT Facebrowser | Intranet | PH: 1525 | Email ((Forum PM @babygoat)) ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC INFORMATION This thread has been established as a platform to showcase the roleplay of our collective's members and staff. Our primary objective is to enrich the server's roleplay experience with unique opportunities within the art community while upholding high standards. We are committed to ensuring that all resident artists elevate both their creative work on art pieces and roleplay to a high level. We highly value player-created art, but recognizing that a significant portion of the art on GTAWorld is AI-generated, we've chosen not to outright ban it. We believe that doing so would unfairly constrain those who may not be artists in real life from participating in the art community that we're creating. However, it's imperative to stress that we maintain stringent criteria, not only for roleplay but also for the art itself and the way it looks. We encourage artists to utilize editing and other means beyond AI to ensure that the end result is as realistic and interesting as possible. When it comes to our administrative team, we focus on realistic corporate roleplay. This involves divisions like Logistics, Human Resources, Finance, and Security among others actively contributing to decision-making and event planning. It's also important to highlight that the assigned curator for an exhibition plays a central role in guiding both the artists and the administrative team through event preparations. This underscores the significance of curators in our collective and the exceptionally high roleplay standards to which they are held. We extend a warm welcome to all, whether you're a newbie or an experienced roleplayer, provided that you abide by the server rules, invest effort in your artwork (if you wish to join us as an artist), and delve into research about the art scene to correctly depict your character. Although all recruitment is conducted in character, we are readily accessible out of character via Discord or Forums. Please feel free to reach out to us for ideas, suggestions, concerns, or any questions you may have. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  8. Username: LGBTQ Comment: Queer people are well known for spraying graffitis and signing them as LGBTQ.
  9. If you read the thread fully, you'd see that I also suggested an age range around the actual age of the character.
  10. Detailed Description Allow us to choose the age range that shows up in /examine by picking it in /characterdetails. Range can be limited to avoid people using it to RP their character being younger/older than they actually are. Relevant Commands/Items /characterdetails /examine How will it benefit the server? It will allow people to RP how youthful/old their character looks without it being forced by a randomly generated age range. Since we pick everything about the way our character looks, it's just weird that this one thing is randomly generated and forced upon us by the system.
  11. Name: Ezra Ferreira Comment: I would much rather be "politicized" than be denied such a motion that supports my community and that makes me feel included and celebrated in a city that is infested with homophobia and radical extremism. I'd love to see evidence on those claims against the Democratic senators that are supposedly politicizing the community to gain votes. If there's no real evidence and we're only theorizing, I'd like to make my own theory: maybe the demographic of Rossi's voters is mostly made out of those homophobes and radical extremists that I was just talking about and voting for such a motion would make him lose the majority of his voters, so he naturally has to vote against it and then figure out ways to clean the mess it creates. As for "modern Christianity", it does follow the old testament. It's insulting to say the old testament is completely outdated, and it's especially insulting to the Hebrew Bible for Jewish people. I'm atheist myself and I still find what Mr. Coleman had to say wrong. The church doesn't say that it doesn't rely on the old testament; it still very much teaches it but it pushes towards a more symbolic reading of the scriptures. Why so? Because what we must not forget is that those scriptures are written by human-beings and were not God-sent like the Quran is believed to be by Muslim people for example and thus, there is always room for human error. Inferiority complexes, power struggles, self-hate and homophobia, among other mental issues that Mr. Spencer seems to suffer from, have always existed and the likes of this man must have written and kept horrible texts that incite hate such as the ones he has quoted even though they go against all Christian and Jewish values. No all-knowing god could incite hate. An all-knowing god knows that love is the best way for all of us to lead happy lives in the short time we have on Earth. An all-knowing god knows that I cannot decide who I feel emotions towards, who I get butterflies in my stomach for or who I'm attracted to sexually. An all-knowing god would definitely be against the ideas of the likes of Johnathan Spencer or anyone who voted against the motion of pride month. An all-knowing god would promote love and love only. At least, that's the "God" the believers in my entourage believe in and it's also the God Pope Francis has been preaching, if Spencer pretends to be following the church and "Christianity".

    Accent system

Detailed Description: So the idea is for players to be able to set their accents, so when they speak, it would show near their name. Example: Vito DeLuca says [Italian Accent]: Have you ordered the chicken nuggets kids meal for me? It could only work with normal talking (/t) and not be there for /l or /w so it doesn't get too messy. Relevant Commands/Items: /accent [pick an accent], it could work either as customizable or only with preset accents, whatever you deem better. And potentially a command that disables them from your chat for people who find it to be too much (/disableacc). It could also be done through the /settings menu. How will it benefit the server? I think it would be nice to be able to recognize a character's accent even if you forgot to use /ex on them. It could also save us the trouble of people trying to force the accent through written text which sometimes just turns out to be poor portrayal and could even seem offensive to people who have the accent in question. I think it just improves overall quality of life for the roleplay of all players; makes it easier to notice things that are supposed to be flagrant about a character.
