  1. I would love for this. If I decide to open one day at 10pm and max out my openbusiness bonus, If in 2 days I am able to and wanna open sooner in the day at say 4pm because either myself or staff are actually online, I can, but I make zero money to pay said workers. It'd be nice to have some flexibility because currently, waiting 48 hrs, if I wanna make money and open sooner I have to wait till day 3.

  2. I gotta agree, it's hard to find people to test items and for things like Cocaine and any powder substance, some cutting should be allowed. I also miss being able to test drugs too, be nice to know exactly what we are selling or buying if there is a lack of trust , +1

Was I trippin' then when I paid for my neck tattoo "by bank" in that parlor between Vespucci and K-Town?

Can't make screens on working computer but here's this.

40299676 Pillars of Creation Arts Tattoo Script   Tattoo Services -$432 $47.748 21/MAR/2023 15:26

They're saying some times the script doesn't take by bank. I have paid with bank and went to get a tattoo yesterday and it was cash only.

Script is a bit broken or it reverts or something

Exactly, it'll pretty much turn into a school for how to be a gangster not an educated person or wtv you wanna be. ULSA provides the required educational RP and it's more than enough.

The only issue with ULSA is that its for (I BELIEVE) 18+, if someone wants to play a 16 year old who actually attends school, there is no option on the server

I said it numerous times and I'll say it again - this won't work out. It ends up being a clusterfuck with all the gang members constantly fighting and shooting each other outside of school. Yeah, not all the gang factions are like that, but most of the gang rpers (at least from what I've seen on forums and in-game) gonna act like that, so people will get tired of this place real quick (especially those who RP teachers). Even if you make it a crime-free area, it won't work.

One thing that could possibly be put in place is having it a "No Crime Zone" around the school so that those who want to actually RP the school life can. If someone wants to play a gangbanger 16 year old, that is their prerogative. But again this is just a suggestion in my mind,

  5. @Gigacan we please have this resolved?

I'd like to move on from this and know what the rules are regarding using the /house robbing/ script on a business since I was sure this wasn't allowed to be used.

On top of that It's now way too long of a wait for me to do anything ICly which is frustrating considering I have CCTV on top of that, it makes no sense that being so close to a sherrifs station, no one would have not noticed a break in with the bar and furniture being loaded in.

This really has stopped my ability to actually ICly pursue this.

I'd like to mention that Kingsley is also a city character and did break into my bar in the county without admin permission which is a rule break, if I'm not mistaken.

  6. Sorry to poke and bother @Giga, but is there an update regarding this?

Moving forward, it's obviously now too late IC to do anything regarding the CCTV of this event and have to move on.. but moving forward.. What would one do in this situation where there is CCTV in the building and no admin is available to retrieve this? I only ask as it did put a huge damper and limited the RP aspect of this as a business owner because I couldn't actually contact any law enforcement or put it on file (due to not knowing if this was even allowed OOCly since they seemed to have used the /house/ robbing script), or include any CCTV information...

  7. Date of incident: November 8, 2022 at around 5:36 AM

Names of witnesses (if applicable): Annabel Inglehart, Alexis Faith

    Your ingame name: Jaelyn Inglehart

Overall Explanation (250 word limit) : Essentially my bar (The Corner in Sandy Shores) was broken into and I got a notification at 5:36AM from LSPD notifying me. There were no admins were on duty or present. I believe they used the "House Robbing" script where they can break into a house without admins present to receive "boxes for monetary value".

My bar has CCTV and when I tried to report to get admin assistance, no one on duty to take my report, hence why I am now posting a report instead. There was only one CIM placed outside, nothing placed inside to verify what exactly was takenNothing in PINV was taken, which is why I believe it was done through the house robbing script. Can I have also some verification if this script is allowed on businesses?

Accusation 1 (50 words): 1 - Perhaps? I need essentially the CCTV footage of this event, or to be told its all voided because I thought the script break in was only for Houses, not businesses

Reported Player(s) Who Broke it: Unknown

    Evidence:

    Screenshot of the notification

Logs of the CIM (Because I forgot to get a screenshot of it)

    [05:43:45] The Corner
[05:43:45] Press Y to enter this property
[05:43:46] [INFO]: [08/NOV/2022] It seems a breakin has occured, half of the items would be missing.

  8. I would really like to have this as an option! I think to limit graffiti and stuff it could be linked to the bar/restaurant/business menu options? Like where there are tenants listed, etc.. IDK if this is what the other person meant by that but this is what I took from it

  9. +1

I sincerely believe this needs to be a thing. It's frustrating having to keep cash on hand to make calls or texts especially when some want to RP their characters to truly not carry cash.

When I used to have a pay as you go, I had to buy a card, scratch off the back for a code and call a number which I would input the code and a balance would be placed onto my phone.

I think this method is rather very realistic.

You're right, it's more complicated, but it's more feasible for *starting* the scene. There is no female inmate rp scene, vice versa, it is a scene for males. All of the scenes originally start with individuals, not factions. Factions enable it to grow larger and centralize as a scene. The absolute reality is nothing people have discussed here will change if people complain on the forums rather than making a character and going and doing it. And (not you specifically) if you're one of the people who's straight up argued here and then identified you don't want to roleplay it, well, ahem, you're not doing anything to bolster its chances at becoming an interactable scene.

Oh I agree-- that it originally starts with the individuals. The way women are portrayed and treated on here doesn't help it at all. An example of where treatment varies, a situation where a male will go to jail for possession of drugs, a female might be let off (this has happened to me personally).

However, yes, I also agree that the discussion will go no where if people aren't willing to change and make characters or adjust the current scene on their sides.

I know you are not specifically talking about me, and as a generic statement, if I get caught I intend to fully go to jail and do what I need to. I just happened to have been lucky to not get caught or if I am caught with anything, I am either let off, or somehow managed to talk my way out of it.

But that doesn't change your statement of those complaining but not willing to do anything about it. I personally have been trying hard to push my character into the illegal scene while being realistic as possible and intend to follow the consequences if I ever get caught. That is how RP is.

Yeah, I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. It's just realistic. I'm more so making a mention that women characters aren't being arrested because they're background. Most arrests are the male members.

Its the background of why the female pod is generically empty because they don't have the same access to rp as the male side. This discussion is the 'why aren't there females in the jail'.

  12. 3 minutes ago, Midwest said:

Good news. Roleplaying in the female jail pod requires absolutely no connection to a faction on the outside!

Going on your own and not linked to a faction is hard for anyone, especially when there is a stigma against women in the server. Most people won't take women seriously, and like it was mentioned before, they tend to get let off easier because most cops are simps. I, myself, have managed to talk myself out of almost EVERY ticket I could have gotten. There was once out of a wide variety of times I got a ticket. And thats just for argument sake of being let off easy.

I mean, it's a question to ask faction leaders themselves but any woman I've spoken to has had the same experience in anything but roleplaying in South Central and K-Town. Sure, some Asian factions allow women to be front lines but they get clowned for it and it's naïve to think they don't. I'm gonna stand by my statement unless I can be proven wrong, majority of female crime characters are background characters and aren't involved to the same level of their male counterparts. Factions would rather use them for legal work or small crime nor will they take them seriously beyond an associate level. My point also still stands about female characters not being trusted which sure, partially I agree with. It's men behind female characters roleplaying them as caricatures, stereotypes, and sex dolls that ruin it for everyone else because they're the most noticed on the server. I'm sure any member of an OCG faction would tell you that they would prefer women to be background characters or not involved at all, either privately or public.

Exactly my point. Portrayal of the women on the server has become garbage and part of it is the fact they aren't involved in the same way as the men, which then leads to "why the fuck do we bother" mentality so they become basically nothing in the eyes of the servers.

Edit: By keeping them in the background and basically sex dolls and shit, of course the jail is gonna be quiet and lack activity.

What I meant was that triads in real life only induct males. Official triad members are all males. There are plenty of female associates, though

I didn't mean make female dominated ocgs or have female hitman wings. What I was referring to was the groups where guns are taken from female characters simply because they are female and where they're basically disregarded ic and ooc bc they rp female. I simply don't see why anybody would stick around for that.

This is my point, because there have been tons of times I have been rping with a group and I feel like a ghost in the background because I am an IC and OOC woman. There's this thought where one feels they are being judged that we can't do the same RP simply because we are a female. We don't need ALL WOMEN gangs and shit, fuck that, that's just gonna go bad and bring garbage RP because of the way some people on this server portray women (which I do find disgusting sometimes). But I agree that like.. there needs to be more opportunities to be involved.

Edit: ONCE  there is some openness and more opportunities for females to be involved, I forsee some more activity being in the female jail pods.

The issue here is that for one, a lot of the people here do have that mindset that women and crime don't mix for some reason. I've seen some incredibly dumb shit, even in street gangs, where women have by FAR the most freedom to be involved in illegal activty. These people think that's realistic and will cry "portrayal" whenever a woman looks as if she has a chance at authority over them in game.

This ties to the second point, in where most of the criminal organizations portrayed on this server are sexist,  male dominated societies. There's a few exceptions, but by and large the criminals people portray here (LCNs, bikers, russian/european mobsters, triads, white supremacist rp, etc) only accept male "inducted" memebrs. This doesn't mean women are not involved whatosever, but the GTAW playerbase tends to just shrug that off. Imo some leeway should be given so people roleplaying criminal female characters get a chance to actually have some fun every now and then.

This is exactly what I mean. You got my points. Because like, I have seen some really dumb shit but both genders and it can't be strictly limited to one, but most of the time the scurtiny will come into play if its a female that is doing the dumb shit. But the mindset does exist wide spread that crime and women don't mix, like you said, which is absolutely not correct. There are plenty of IRL women who are worse than men, lets be real about it. If a woman has some kind of authority it has to be earned like everyone else in the group, not handed off and if it is earned then its reasonable, but I get what you're saying, some people don't think this is right.

I have found that when it comes to the male dominated group that does allow female interaction, such as MC's they are still very /sexist/ in the portrayal. They are only good to be either passed around, a fuck or to bartend their bars. They don't include them in /anything/ which I do get. But there is a stigma and attitude that is played around the women that they are basically /garbage/ in their eyes.

I agree there needs to be some leeway and openness to allow the female population to be involved but none of this garbage rp I have seen in the past. I've seen some female rpers work their ass off to get some status and still get shoved aside and treated like garbage because they are simply a female even if they worked hard to get there.
