To be fair, prices of computer parts and upgrades right now make upgrading less then feasable due to quality parts being either short in supply or prices hitting in the high 900-1500 USD range for a decent GPU that can handle GTA on good graphics with this mod enabled. I run a RTX 2070 and a i7 7700k, running this mod on max settings (like i have been for years having this GPU) I notice a maybe 10-15 frame drop when entering the area, combine that with the instability of more then 25 players on a game that was never designed for such. You're gonna have the same situation people had at the protests for groupe 6 where people were constantly crashing and getting maybe 5-10 FPS at a time if people TRUELY want to get into the whole forest hunting/camping mood ya know? Adding to that. I know the server's been optimized for LOTS of people on at the same time but some people just cant upgrade or want to enjoy hanging with their friends in a forested area. Without either blowing a chunk of change on PC upgrades. Or having to lower their graphics to the point everything's a sharp edged blob.

Game consistantly crashes on mission row when i look towards the PD As in just straight locks up and closes after a bit. Possibly buffer overflow? No error given.

Yeah and i guess thats why people keep leaving. Legal character players just give up and stop caring because there's just no point anymore.

You are 110% correct and the admins just seem to not give a shit. The ones that do, cant do anything about or are just turned down immediately.. Its honestly depressing this may be one of the biggest serious rp servers in GTA right now but its also got a staff team of quantity over quality. Most of the admins are Do not disturb on discord or just outright direct you to someone else. And other then that there are times that you could be waiting hours and hours for an admin to respond to your /arson request or something of the sort. Getting off track here though. Point is All the admins that respond to issues that we believe to be OOC they tell us to handle it IC or indirectly tell us its an IC problem. When in fact most of the time its a OOC issue. People lie to staff all the time to make them look right. Which basically has gotten it into the staffs head to basically say "Get it fixed Icly" if its something regarding extortion. Hell its just outright saddening to see staff not give a shit about fixing criminal rp.

That is very true. And I would like to see this too. But we also need to address the significant lack of dedicated factions to investigating extortion RP like this. Put some of the crim orgs on the back peddle. Its something i'd like to see.

Thats so fucking wrong. With the current jail and laws. the criminals will be out within the week. Or their faction will CK app you and 9 times out of 10 a CK app for extortion rp is accepted.

So the problem is. Admins still don't do shit "Oh you reported these guys for bad rp? Lets do a minor investigation and admin jail em for a few hours at most." It does FUCK all for them, oh yeah a mark on record and a stern warning for maybe half an hour to an hour in admin jail. People dont do shit usually and just sit around watching youtube. And what's it matter that people want FIB? It provides a dedicated criminal investigation faction. What? are most of the admins are scared they'll do too good of a job? and basically ruin criminal rp? Let em. Fucking the criminals need to play smart, instead of having a pissing contest of who can report eachother first during something that goes SLIGHTLY wrong.

So moving on from this since NATE locked it. Im going to put it simply. No its not just an IC issue its a straight up OOC issue. Don't say its IC when you literally have people going door to door to extort businesses and ruin rp for other people. What you just expect a small business owner who probably took months of development oocly to get to the point he's at. Suddenly go "oh hey yeah here take this cash to be useless to me and my business. Cause you dont provide any RP for me other then coming by 1 time a week to collect what amounts to my lot rent." And then these people that extort get 2 days in fucking prison and then just DO IT AGAIN. Thats an OOC issue with players being idiots and pretty much taking the fast track to making cash for their faction and ruining roleplay for people who want to run legit businesses. The server is straight up being made into cops vs robbers and its actually turning alot of legal players away. I've actually had an entire group of people fuck off that I played with a fair bit. Because the admins wouldn't do shit about the 4 groups basically driving away business cause they refused to pay up. Going "Its an IC issue." So they just up n fucked off cause they cant solve that shit themselves. Especially when gangs are rolling by every other day to collect "protection" money to protect them against fuck all. Point is. Make the punishment MUCH harsher if you fuck up extortion by doing it stupidly. Get some dirt on the owner first hold that over his head and then fucking extort him so he's scared too scared to go to the cops. Just walking up as a group one day to a new business n going "yo holms give us money or we'll burn yer fuckin business down." Its honestly stupid. And again throwing back to the lack of cops. Fix those fucking OOC requirements so you can actually recruit people instead of ya know basing your fuckin OOC radio system off a teamspeak server so cops can just randomly metagame when they get shot at and cant radio. This ain't half life 2 where the cops get vital sign monitors so if one goes down everyone fucking knows about it.

So I actually do want to point out that not even the russians are around anymore because other rival gangs didnt see them expand alot. Or try to extort every single business they could get their hands on. Most of them got offed a while back which is kinda sad cause i indirectly worked for them for a long while. Regardless though you are right but the admins dont give a shit at least enough of a shit to actually do something wide spread about this. Being a cop requires a microphone which turns ALOT of roleplayers away. Because you cant exactly roleplay an opposite genders voice. At least reliably unless you've practiced for years and are actually dedicated to it. That whole microphone shit turns alot of people away from even trying to be an officer. Resulting in alot of potential cops not even wanting to try. I know i'd go for being a cop if it didn't require voice. Im mute oocly but aside that. Cops aren't incentivized to even join up much aside money and a circle jerk. (As much as thats harsh to say im not roping ALL the cops into it but there is a significant amount that bitch moan and complain when they get killed during a shoot out.) Regardless there's also really no incentive due to even if you do make a shitload of money you cant even really spend it cause its 'not logical' as i've heard from numerous admins. Mind you feel free to prove otherwise. Because this is all shit i've heard n observed myself. Point is. If we had more of a cop presence, i gaurentee most of the mobs in the server would get shit on consistently and actually be more similar to real life. Regardless of that we're stuck with what we have so these words should stick in your mind. "Use what you have been given, not what you hope for."

My brother being a mechanic to do that that's minimum a 2 hour job to even get to something that'd even affect the stability of a car like that.. I mean yeah i get the principle of it but.. What? That roleplay was straight up stupid. Okay yeah takes 10 seconds maybe to write a /me that an admin would say "Yeah no thats not happening, too vauge." But i've seen people get away with more. So fuck if I know dude. Regardless yeah I get the principle of it, a bit heavy handed a show of force if you will is ideal.. Especially when extorting. But that could've been done so much better. The fact they just roll up armed to the teeth and do a quick /me before leaving. Thats not fair for anyone involved. Nobody got rp out of that and people can just say it didn't happen fuck off. Cause of how undetailed it was and how piss poor the roleplay involved was.

So the main issue i have with this is the fact that. GTA doesn't use real world brands due to copyright requirements. The server as well as the owner are not exempt from said copyright requirements. To have them as an actual in game item (Due to also having a subscription based system that's option for the server to make money and stay afloat just like a real business) Copyright infringement can happen real easily. I've seen tobacco and booze companies go after people for less then just this. I'm saying this should not be a thing mostly because of the implications of law issues along with the fact that smoking does kill but so does drinking and we're not here to make people start smoking or support smoking/Support drinking and driving like you can do in rp.. We're here to RP, Not use real world brands where you see them daily when you go to the corner store to buy a pack of smokes or some shit. You can totally RP having them in game. But don't try and make people make official brands a thing as said. This is LS this is a game world. This is not real life. A lot of people come here to escape from real life. However im all for putting in actual packs of smokes. So its more convenient for people to straight up buy smokes.
