Fighting is basically a joke because of how laggy and plagued with desync we are. If the new update fixes that then sure, but RP should always take first. Not to mention, two dudes running in circles trying to land a hit is a fuckin' joke, because most of the actual "mechanics" in fighting don't work in rage, IE blocking/dodging, etc.

Tbh, the real life weather thing kinda blows and just isn't really all that enjoyable. It'd be more fun for RP to have more variable weather, and even our own seasonal deal.

As a newly inducted deputy sheriff, I'm kinda stuck on this. For the majority of my time in the jail, there are 3 kinds of people. Immediate logout/AFKers which are moot, the let's say 35% who are there to RP, do their time and leave, and a relatively overwhelming majority of people who treat jail as "how much of a stereotype can I be and how much shit can I cause." It's really fucking tiring to have a day where I can't even finish writing one report before another fight starts between two dudes who want to have a competition of who can throw out the most slurs per sentence. In a sense, yeah requiring in game time is good, but part of me thinks that's only gonna be more bullshit for us Deputies to deal with, and before this is implemented, I'd like more discussion on how to handle people who only RP in jail to be a nuisance and a stereotype from a bad reality TV Show.

I think the problem is that we're mistaking 60% CHARACTER dropoff or whatever, with player dropoff. Just because someone stopped playing their truck character doesn't mean they don't still play

Restriction is dumb. If the shop owner has wealth from that but also wants to work, he should be able to still be rewarded for his work. If people are RPing ridiculous things then handle it that way, but script restrictions will just see new characters working all the jobs while old characters desperately try to balance around 500k so they can continue to buy things and still make money for their time.

I don't think there is such a timer, as I've personally done multiple /bads within 20 minutes. Unless that's only for regular /ads which is hardly the issue. It's /bad that tends to cause more problems.

First off, Nervous said it was answered before but I couldn't find the post after a few searches, so being directed there would be great. Short description: Instead of an Ad Queue, instead making the time limit apply per player, instead of per server. Detailed description: When a player uses an Ad, give them a personal 10 minute timer. This way the server as a whole can still advertise as needed, you still have less spam, perhaps even less than now, and business aren't fighting over who can get their ads out when needed. Rolling is dogshit. RNG shouldn't be determining things, proper RP should. This is referred to as "playing to lose" in other games. A player should be playing out to lose a fight, not to win. Obviously this get stretched depending on situation and involved characters.

I find it painfully ironic the number of criminals who say it's PD who complain. Like, yeah no shit criminals are gonna want the change kept. That argument is completely mirrored. Give more reason, tbh. Changes to prevent metagame rather than punitive action to prevent metagame is always worse in my experience.
