Yara Munoz has been proving herself to the homegirls recently, on this day she fought Vivian "Barbie" Enchiverria and several other Florencia 13 homegirls by herself.

Later on, the conflict regarding OSS and Agustin Valdez led to Yara being shot with a beanbag shotgun. Yara told Melina about this situation and wanted to put in work on her get-back against the Florencia 13 homegirls. Melina clearly cared more about Yara being in good shape and wanted to delay her participation, which Yara could understand.

Melanie "La Flaka" Acosta and Angela "Troubles" Guitierrez happened to make an appearance on the block, they are Melina's big homegirls. Yara has only ever seen Melanie, but was never properly introduced to her. Melina brings Yara over to meet her "G homegirl" to get them acquainted. Melanie lets Yara know that she's been hearing of her actions against the Gangster Lokas and seemed to be impressed with her resume. Melanie, Iyana and Angela decided it was best to go slide on the Florencia 13 Gangster Lokas clique on the same night. Melina tried to inform the homegirls that Yara was injured, but they didn't seem to care. Instead they manipulated Yara into putting her injured body on the line for the sake of the gang's reputation much to Melina's dismay.
