Ability for business managers to /givepropertykey

Recommended Posts

Detailed Description

I think this is practical because right now while business managers can /brecruit someone, the employees do not have access to the property inventory, for this they must be assigned the supervisor role which is a bit of a overkill just for the sake of wanting to give property inventory access.

Ideally, it would be great if business owners had the option if their employee rank can access the pinv or not, but I can see why this would take some effort on code level. So it could be a nice to have down the line.

In the meantime, since we have a way to link the business script and a property together with /pbusiness, it would be great if managers have the ability to /givepropertykey.

Technically, they can give keys as is by /brecruiting someone, but if they want someone to have /pinv access, they can give a key first, and then invite them to the business.

I guess this should be fairly simple to implement - when the command /givepropertykey is ran, it checks if its the owner running the command (as it does right now) or it checks if the property is linked to a business, and if its the manager of that business script running the command, in either of this condition the cmd works - thus letting a manager providing keys.

How will it benefit the server?

I think with minimal change in code, this would help a lot in terms of management. Right now an owner has to come around and either make someone a supervisor in the script or do givepropertykey which can slow things down in RP.

As said above, down the line a feature where owner getting to decide the role which can access pinv would be nice, but for now this should be a short and apt fix with (seemingly and relatively) low effort.

Again, goes back to the same problem. Has to go through the owner. As a manager, you cannot promote. If you've recently hired someone for a shift and the owner can't get on, you're stuck.
