As evening fell on June 26th, an intense pursuit unfolded throughout Davis and surrounding areas of the City, as black minivan attempted escape from pursuing LSPD units. The suspect, who's identity has not been confirmed, fled Police using dangerous tactics to evade capture, being seen going against the flow of traffic and nearly colliding with a parked LSI Stringer vehicle.

Earlier during the pursuit, the suspect exited forum drive and collided head-on with a tree, causing significant damage to his vehicle. However, desperation proved powerful as the suspect kept the vehicle going as the chase continued, putting bystanders and innocent road users at considerable risk.

The suspect's trail of chaos continued until the pursuit was abruptly terminated on Strawberry Avenue, with LSPD units surrounding the vehicle and quickly taking charge of the incident, holding the suspect at gunpoint in a tense standoff. The reasoning for the sudden termination of the pursuit was not witnessed by LSI Stringers, however another vehicle is pictured heavily damaged at the scene. LSPD units were unavailable to comment.

It remains unclear whether there were any serious injuries as a result of this harrowing pursuit, and the reasoning for the desperate attempt still remains unclear. However what is clear, is the lengths that individuals will go to to evade capture, putting lives on the line and adding further charges to their repertoire.

We implore citizens to think before considering such evasive action, as often times this ends catastrophically, resulting in severe injuries and even death.
