  3. Roleplaying a methamphetamine high - As I roleplay with the car more and more, i noticed that a lot of people have a misconception of what a meth high is. A meth high is all of your dopamine (happy chemical in your brain) being released into your body at once. Yes; the drug does keep you up for hours, days, or even weeks on end but that doesn't mean you are going to be "up" and have a lot of energy. A lot of the time from (personal experience around the second day of being high on meth with no sleep) you are zoned out, staring at a blank wall with no thoughts in your brain. Often you see shadows and people that aren't there in the corners of your eyes walking around etc; this starts about a day and a half in but becomes extremely noticeable on the 3rd day. I'll break it down into days a matter of fact; Day 1: The first couple hours, you will feel great. You'll feel goosebumps coursing through your body and a warm feeling going throughout the center of your body and up to your head. Your hands, feet, and nose will most likely be cold as hell. You'll also be extremely horny for most of the time you're high (not sure if that's going to play part in RP, but mentioning it just in case). After around 4 hours, you'll slowly start to feel tired which is called the crashing phase; if your character doesn't have experience with meth, the crash will hit them like a damn bus and you'll start nodding off. You have to remember that your entire body was just soaked up of all of its happy endorphins and now you NEED sleep. But; if you miss the crash phase, which lasts about an hour or so (it acts as a sleeping window basically), you are in for a long ride. Around the time of missing or hitting the crash phase, you'll begin to get angry and annoyed at everything around you. (edited) Day 2: You missed the crash, and you're up in the middle of the night. You might seem fairly paranoid, overthinking everything and getting stuck in your head fairly often. Around this time is when you'll be telling yourself "I'm never doing that again, I just wanna go to bed". At this point, you're desperate to find anything to do as boredom kills you slowly; if you were to do more, you'd get even more angry and the high would not be so fun this time. Your dopamine's been sucked out of your body, and you're continuing to do more meth mid-way through the second day and you start to see things that aren't there; you're constantly zoned out as if you were stuck in a daze and you have an astounding amount of suicidal thoughts running through your brain. Although your character might not 'want' to kill themselves normally, at this point in the high all of your happy endorphins have been removed and you know nothing but rage, sadness, and horniness. Day 3: Your binge is just starting; You've been up for 2 days and you're entering your 3rd. A slippery slope that can only end in a bad way. At this point in your high you really want it to stop but for some reason you just can't; so, you go do some more meth ( and some more and some more etc; ) the shadows are seriously there now, you're convinced this is reality, even though you feel extremely dissociated, like you're in a dream or watching someone else's life through their eyes. The shadows begin to talk to you, telling you to hurt people around and/or yourself. Your high has turned into pure despair and you hate it, but at the same time the feeling is still so good. Your splitting migraine that you've been slowly developing slowly gets worse as the days go by. At times it might seem like everyone is out to get you, you can't trust anyone; The best idea is to isolate yourself from everyone as much as you can - But that can be a mistake aswell, the voices might end up convincing you to harm yourself. Ontop of all of this, you're living in a daze that you haven't been able to snap out of. Your eyes bloodshot, but wide - your leg non-stop shaking. But yet, you still have no energy whatsoever. Day 4+: On day 4, your hair starts to fall out strand by strand. You haven't ate in three days, the bags under your eyes are beginning to look like bruises and your stomach is reversed into your body. Your hands and feet are freezing cold, to the point where you're convinced they may fall off. The voices only get louder, the dissociation only gets worse, and the shadows only get more prevalent from here on out. Everywhere you look, you see shadows - the daze is becoming overwhelming as you keep going, leaning more and more into believing that life is not real. As you hit a week and so-forth, you're having schizoprenic episodes super often, at least once every 3 hours. All the things mentioned above only become worse and worse. Another note to add is that meth is one, if the the most addictive drug. Once you come off a binge longer than 3 days, you'll do anything to get your fix again no matter what it takes. Obviously, this isn't always the case because everyone's body is different, but most of the time people get addicted VERY easily, and very quick. All of this guide is based off of true events that i've either experienced or witnessed myself while high/watching people be high on crystal meth
