  1. I agree with everything I saw before reading what I just quoted above. This conversation really just went there. Not only are you accusing the server's staff of intentionally placing rules to inhibit players that want to portray certain races but you also are saying that they are also intentionally engineering a set of rules that somehow reflect how they OOCly feel about the races of some of these characters? Absolutely no evidence for that and it's just how you want to interpret these rules. You are steering the conversation into an area of the OP's original message that does not exist nor ever will exist because everyone would sniff that shit out before you could even write this essay over again. And before anyone is even going to start talking about racial or ethnic politics on an RP server forum, what an embarrassing thing to post. To say that people on this server are trying to push their outside perceptions on African, Asian, or any other groups for that matter. You're picking at an invisible problem and you think you can convince people that it exists by pointing at the "safe-zones"? If you're for real, this is a huge troll and oversight of why people play this server. People may have characters on GTA:W for many things, but if there's one thing I definitely haven't witnessed it's OOC-fueled racism in the form of digital blackface through characters. You need to really prove this accusation before trying to sound intellectual about it because this is some ice-berg level shit. You're absolutely right on restricted safe-zones. You're right that they create areas for certain factions based in them to be safe from what's outside, like castle walls enclosing a keep so to speak. You're also right that this in fact mirrors, and rightfully so, a major west coast American city where not only is it a huge melting pot but contains a history that is pretty tragic and should be reflected. But. When you and @King of Idlewood discussed the nature of why African-American based criminal factions needed guns and you said that it's because of the environment "shouldn't be brushed off as a gameplay strategy" is where that just starts to go all sorts of wrong. The first part is right, environment plays a huge role in a person's feeling or "necessity" to defend themselves. But you mean to tell me that factions who are based on groups, criminal in nature, of majority one ethnicity or skin color, are exempt from the rules just because you view them as inherently racial bias? Further more, you're actually the one implying that they don't have the capacity to decide if using a gun or diplomacy would benefit both parties, whoever they are. You cannot possibly make this assumption because there are so many different factions and situations between them that this would require evidence at a statistical level that proves that this is the case, and you don't have any of that. You just told people in 10 paragraphs that you take this game at a level nobody else does, and nor should they, because this is some crazy talk I just exposed myself to. I'm not going to speak for anyone else but myself so I'll say that based on what everyone else has been saying in response to the OP, the state of gang RP has always been tainted with people who either play to win which leads to poor portrayal and a cycle of toxic behavior that nobody wants to be around both in-game and OOC, which then bleeds the reputation of the gang scene of Davis, Rancho, and pretty much anywhere else in Idlewood as the last place you want to make a character at. Nothing more, no conspiracies or secrets there. Definitely no racially motivated character or server rules that make this a reality. It's nobody else's fault for their reputation being so damn poor than the players themselves. You still made some valid points, so I think if you want to accuse server staff of inherent racial bias in their rules you should probably make a server suggestion and tell them what you think will fix this issue you apparently see. But the last thing you should be doing is accusing people of engineering a race simulation with the rules, even though this isn't even remotely true.
  2. you makin another hit with this one
  3. Benjamin Cerone is a blue collar laborer and an extremely naïve local odd jobber since his inception into the public eye during the late 2000s. He dabbled in construction, city maintenance, landscaping and was allegedly involved in calling card scams for very popular credit coupons which included PAY-G phone store credit gift cards. As the scam came to light, Benjamin fell back to his work in construction contracting to avoid a potential run-in with law enforcement. While unbeknownst to authorities, Cerone also managed to touch down with local figures in Los Santos' East Beach area in recent years which led to an eventual arrest of four suspects on December 1st, 2023 on the charges of kidnapping, battery and theft of a firearm following a short-lived pursuit with an unsuccessful escape on a freeway near Mount Zancudo, San Andreas. The Los Santos Police Department worked in conjunction with the LSPD's SWAT division' response to apprehend Cerone and his three accomplices. AXON bodycam footage of B. Cerone sitting in the drivers seat of a used Lexus model LS400. THE STORY SO FAR Following the discovery of the calling card PAY-G credit scam masterminded by long-time East Beach neighborhood local Charles "Chucky" Palermo with the aid of Benjamin Cerone, Cerone opted to return to his legitimate sources of income of construction and city maintenance for a variety of companies through a public contracting agency. It was at this time that he met the likes of John "Half-Ass" Bardi better known to him as "Johnny" down the grapevine, a former affiliate member of a fractured Amato crew and frequenter of The Red Piano. Benjamin Cerone' considerable time spent with Bardi as his ears to the street led to his eventual meeting of former malavita member David "Slick" Borghese. Joseph "Joe" Giordano came into the equation the following week upon hearing Half-Ass John's return to Los Santos and caught the next flight into the city immediately with Cerone assisting in his arrival on John's orders. DECEMBER 1ST, 2023 According to a story published by Weazel News, four suspects were expected to be released from prison following a five-month stint in Bolingbroke County Jail for egregious charges of which all were tried, pronounced guilty and convicted. Prison records from correctional officers within the county jail report that three of the four were involved in a scuffle between themselves and members of a white prison gang which held a majority ruling on their side of the house. The three suspects, all Italian-Americans, were moved into Bolingbroke's Segregated Housing Unit for the remainder of their sentences for their conflict. Records show that the responding correctional officers were "afraid for the safety of those involved" due to the assault on a prominent member of the aforementioned group. Cerone was also noted down on file as being quote "extremely confrontational" and "should be placed alone" as a result of his comments regarding the opposing party. CCTV footage from a terrace camera captures the moment at which Benjamin Cerone and David "Slick" Borghese retaliated against an angered peckerwood after a minor dispute over a cell re-assignment, leaving lasting injuries on both him and another. A convicted John Bardi made parole the month following their integration into the SHU. RELEASE Released and put back into the street, Cerone was recorded on gatehouse footage stepping back into a used white Lexus with three other older individuals and taking a right on the Los Santos Freeway, assumed to be returning to Los Santos city limits. They maintained their distance between one another for a period of time before returning back into association. Confronted now with a new threat of bankruptcy and public ridicule for their actions on December the 1st of that year, Cerone prioritized his work ethic and is beholden to the price of his actions which is the roadblock of being an ex-convicted felon. As far as official reports from authorities or news figures, nothing else has been heard of or witnessed as of late. WHERE ARE THEY NOW Without supplemental coverage on the whereabouts and current activities surrounding the post-release of Benjamin Cerone (aside from the knowledge of his earned nickname "Benny" as a shorthand version of his legal first name) and the relevant cronies, accurate information on this individual is sparse and may be unknown. It is rumoured that he has recently taken employment in a start-up sanitation business Starlight Sanitation LLC due to a lack of businesses that accept former convicted felons. Police records describe Benjamin Cerone as a twenty-four year old six foot white male who is one hundred and eighty-five pounds.
  4. yes if you can start seeing a one Joseph Nappa? That would cure us, thank you
  5. Truly the longest OC run I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of, peep the next 50.
  6. There's a reason that it wouldn't be a restricted crime zone, and that's why the area you're referring to isn't on the list. Planned robbery? I don't understand the issue here. Players decided that they wanted to plan a high-stakes robbery in a high-income neighborhood with all of the risks involved. And because they decided to plan it on you, you were unhappy with their decision of picking you and just went ahead to make a thread about it. You should have done your research before you wrote this thread, because you'd be surprised how often this type of crime occurs in a city loosely based off of Los Angeles. I'm reading a news article right now about how a couple had their two-toned Rolex watch valued at $18,000 stolen by three men at gunpoint in their driveway, in UPLAND. Sounds very accurate to what happens in Los Santos, and I'd say that's extremely realistic.
