Here's two more from yesterday to lighten the load.

As I have always played it, you use descriptive /me's for actions and responses and /do for counters, if both parties agree to a slugfest, then you can use the ingame mechanic for fist fighting. But only when both parties agree that it will determine whatever outcome.

I've only been in-game a few times and over the last two weeks, not at all. I don't really feel the enthusiasm to play. Not sure why but I don't feel like there is much to encourage me committing more time to this server at present. The updates are frequent and I am sure they please the members of the PD greatly but as someone not playing as a criminal/cop the script updates seem to not take my player type into consideration. As it's Friday I am planning to spend some time ingame this evening and stay up late(r) tonight and hopefully I can get some RP that doesn't just involve me typing out /me's when I slam from a trick.

You completely missed my point, still don't know why you're taking my opinion so personally. I could deconstruct how you completely misinterpreted what I wrote but given your gumption to jump to the defensive every time I'll just leave it alone.

Well that's a confusing response to what is, essentialy, my personal opinion which is what the thread topic is asking for? Not expecting anything handed to me but I'm not about to stand around in an empty street typing /me's for my own damn amusement? I have been roleplaying in GTA since 2008 so I do not need to be told how to "create" RP. Fact is that this server is dead during GMT timezone so creating RP during those times is like throwing a ball in the park for a dog that died two years ago. My characters are not business types nor entrepeneurs so "creating" my own roleplay would rely on interraction. Not the usual MG use of /ad "Man Need Work" whilst convincing myself I saw that ad whilst browsing Twitterbook on my phone, when in fact I am catching air on a vert ramp whilst my phone is "RPly" not even in my pocket. I have had one guy come up to me at a clothing shop, asking me to get in his car to earn a quick eight grand. Is this guy creating RP? Or perhaps just someone with no life or RP experience trying to rob me? Honest answer, it could be any of those things. Personally, for me that isn't creating RP it's being lazy using game scripts with minimal effort. Most, if not ALL of my RP throughout the years involves character roleplay, which requires audience participation. On like, my second day here I got hit by a car one time whilst riding my BMX. I started to RP the injuries which prompted the person to come back instead of driving off (no doubt blaming desync for the collision,) as soon as I indicated to the guy who stopped that I was "OK" he drove off saying "Good show, seeya." Didn't even get out of the vehicle and left the scene of an accident. Completely non RP and yet, I am expected to let that encounter sit OK with me. I do not. On my first character I've legit hung around the area my character inhabits for two fucking hours without any sign of anyone even passing through at max speed. I don't always inhabit one area either, sometimes once I get bored I visit the other skate parks in an attempt to travel the city point-to-point hoping to find a scene or just ride the ramps for a while to no avail. Not sure why you chose to coin your repsonse in such a condescending manner but I thought I would expand on my opinion. All I am saying is, I do not share the consensus that this server is anything but a ghost town (for me, anyways...) and that it doesn't exactly fill me with encouragment to put more time into it. I would dearly love to see half of the stuff I see on the forums actually going on in game.

Hard to say for me personally. Been registered here for about a month but haven't really been ingame much at all. The few times I have been ingame (during GMT hours) I haven't managed to see anyone. In fact the only place I have seen people is Mirror Park, (apart from that one time I drove past the FD cutting some dude out of his car) which isn't an area suited for either of my characters. I am still struggling to find an apartment to rent and to find a place to fit into the world for either of my characters; a skinny, white teenager, Basketball college major and aspiring ameteur/pro BMX rider living in the ghetto (Dayton) and a Vietnam vet with a ponchant for psychadelics and titties. As much as I enjoyed RDR on PS3 I am not overly excited about this. I didn't even buy a console to play it, just mooched off my mates system. Hope it comes to PC, mainly for multiplayer and what I hope will be some roleplay servers showing up in due course.

Favourite of all time has to be The Shield. A fantasticly bonkers roller coaster from start to end. Vic's life is a nightmare to watch it unfold and collapse in on itself. Very well written, acted and paced well throughout its seven seasons. Currently watching Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, it's actually pretty decent so far.

I'm just gonna leave this here.... ...and suggest you get some officers on two wheels, fight fire with fire.

Not really a QOL feature when changing clothes IRL takes time. A lot of RP requires suspension of disbelief, for example: Screens posted of 3 people standing around doing nothing whilst the RP takes place in the text. I have a deeper question, why are you all standing around watching each other get dressed? Not against this command to help with changing clothes, but I don't think it should speed the process up.

I feel that would come under general RP driving. You have to remember that all the cars in GTA V are designed to work on every terrain, unlike real life where a lot of sports car couldn't drop off a kerb without wrecking the udnerside of the sump or ripping off the exhaust. The Kawi is a chop, the GSXR is a Japanese sports bike, both perform similarly on dirt roads and grass.

No because the players are still out in the middle of an ocean playing a dumb "push X now" game whilst everyone else is wandering around the city looking for someone to talk to. At least on the pier people are in the same place, as the ocean is huge you'd never bump into anyone socially whilst fishing at sea. Fishing jobs on a boat are not suitable for a RP server, bnecause it removes RP'ers form the server.

I've only ever ridden off-road on two of my bikes, a 1983 Kawasaki Z400 bobber and a 2012 Suzuki GSXR 600, both performed fine down dirt roads and on grassy hills. This phallacy that you cannot take a two wheeled vehicle off a paved road is preposterous. Two wheels are actually more stable and provide better traction on loose ground than four. Of course hitting grass over 50mph is still gonna cause you trouble, not to mention cornering but to me these type of complaints over rules normally stem from police roleplayers not happy they lost a suspect.

Yeah no, if anything it will detract from RP opportunities. If you ever played on Five you'll know the fish farming was a major problem and set a large portion of the player base semi AFK running a script.

Nah, asking to be an exception is even cheekier than asking for money in the first place in my opinion. It's not important, certainly not enough to warrant wasting actual currency on.
