  1. Thanks for the welcome. tbh I’ve had so many positive interactions and every one of them has taught me more skills. I was even lucky enough to have someone give me advice on how to RP in a way that is more interesting. People should be proud of this community.
  2. Thank you so much everyone. Believe me, all the advice you’re giving is great because I have been confused and frustrated about outfits for a few days. Aaaand now it’s time to play dress-up Barbie for a little while. ?
  3. Hello. I am new to RP and to GTA World and I’m learning something new each time I play. Thank you to everyone who has been so patient and helpful in the game. Thanks also to the people who have written the basic guides. At the moment, I am having trouble understanding the clothing system, particularly how to save outfits. Whenever I change an outfit, or part of one, I go to the shop and pay. Obviously, I know this is not the correct way to do it. So far, I have tried to find information on the forums and on YouTube, but without success. If someone could please direct me to a guide, I would be very grateful. I look forward to meeting you all in game.
  4. As much as GTA Online is fun, being repeatedly killed by sociopaths is tiresome. I watched some guides to help me avoid being griefed and saw a video of two people in a role playing server, which seemed to eliminate some of the randomness I experienced Online. I researched options, and saw a YouTube comparison by Klorontix of Eclipse, Mafia City, and GTA World. Eclipse still looked kind of chaotic. Mafia City didn’t have many players. Klorontix described GTA World as amazing, and my further research confirmed how much potential content I could experience. So here I am.
  5. I have had no experience role playing in any game. Ever. I found the scenarios to be challenging, but they also made me critically think about how to realistically role play situations that I would not have considered. I had my first role play five minutes in to my GTAW experience (I was robbed!). Even though I was quite slow at the mechanical /me and /do things, because I had gone through the application process, and had read a few guides, I did feel as though I was able to pick up on some things I should RP - for example considering the effects of a car accident on both me and my vehicle - so that I could be fair and consistent to others in my scene. I was also fortunate that the people I RP’d with (even the person who stole my stuff while I was unconscious in a car crash!) were very patient with me, and I did not feel as though the outcome was unrealistic or unfair. I’m really, really looking forward to playing again. tl;dr: For what it is worth, as a completely fresh player, I got value from the application process.
