  1. Nice grove street house with double garage. Starting Bid: $215,000 Bid Increment: $10,000 Album: https://imgur.com/a/VKyTVo7 Auction will be concluded when there's an offer I like.
  2. 120k and its yours, blowout sale. Gots to go, message me
  3. There is no point in discussing this any further because you are obviously perfectly comfortable being able to lock people up for a minimum of 24H before they even get arranged, let alone if they plead guilty or no contest. Then you can just throw the book at them and possibly waste weeks or months of their gametime..
  4. and there is a big shortage of judges, so we must just allow cops to detain and possibly arrest anyone how he sees fit with entire jail sentences as run up to a trial? How convenient.... Bail doesnt go to cops, bail goes to the justice system.
  5. Yes but not every charge gets released on Bond IRL, like violent crimes, sexual assault or flight risk etc dont make bond
  6. You never heard of million dollar bail ?, by the entire legal system you mean the 90% of the time cops can just deal out jail sentences without having form of defence or case trial Its really not your job to punish anyone, just to enforce the law and present people to the court.
  7. Yes thats exactly what i'm suggesting, with a high enough bond, which get returned on their appearance in a court case there is no need for cops to hold someone for 24H or longer just because nobody is available. People IRL can get arrested and released on bond within a hour, Which is a completely different story then 24H , which is a entire jail sentence in and of itself cops use to their advantage.
  8. So the roleplay only starts after the cop got his due and served you some nice jailtime. Its starting to become clear.
  9. A cop can be convinced of a crime and there is no way you are going to defend your character in a reasonable amount of time.. You are just going to jail, and maybe after they wasted a week of your gametime you might have a chance in court. Its a play to win, The whole "How do you plead" or "Anything you say will be used against you" its just window dressing there is nothing underneath besides the whims of a player. Give people 3 options but they all lead to the same place. Try doing that in some actual RP and see how long it takes before you get reported for Power Gaming
  10. Under coercion of a 9999 days prison sentence in wait for a judge, that will take upto 24H at minimum. You either go to jail not guilty guilty or no contest. Either way you are going to jail. I wouldnt want this system changed either if you could lock people up and waste days of their life. Actually i would because i dont consider myself a playing to win or playing to grief
  11. I like how cops can lock you up for 72 hours just for "investigation" that is without even being certain a crime is committed yet. In my case i was detained 72 hours on a investigation.... for TRESPASSING Or that if you plea no guilty to a non violent charge you still get to spend 99999 days in prison to wait for a judge. Also for... trespassing Cops are completely out of control and the management actually designs it that way. Cops gleefully enjoy the authority they are given over other players just by their mere interaction
  12. But do people judge you by your skin or by your name? And therefor should you judge yourself by your skin or by your name?
  13. Lets take it all the way back to SAMP did you really care what your skin looked like? or was your name more important? Your name was part of the skin. Thats the best way i can explain it really. Why shouldnt you see your own name as part of the GTA 5 skin. Its part of it, because people see you like that
  14. I may just be crazy but here is how i play. I see my character shape clothes etc I recall his name and his backstory, and how he would feel about a certain situation Repeat ad infinitum Its should be obvious, This is Tyler, Tyler acts so and so way. You know why? Because its says so above the damn head. Technically you are always imagining a nametag above his head. A name gives identity else we wouldnt need names at all. Like some fucking alien, i dont see why people want to take the trouble to remember their character when it should be obvious on the screen.
  15. Does it also break your immersion seeing other people's names? You think it would be better having no names for everybody? or would it just be confusing as hell
  16. It should be forced on for the first 10 hours, just to make sure the character works. after that i think people should be able to choose Seeing a name in chat and seeing the name on fully styled character in the game world is practically different .
  17. Short description: Name tags above your own head Detailed description: Would make people less encouraged to chose dumb names because they would have to see the eyesore nametag themselves, not only bother other players. I think everybody had a name they chose that they regret, either in GTAW or before. It would make it more obvious what name works with what character and what doesnt. There is no need to lie to oneselve. Commands to add: Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? It would make people see the terrible or great name they chose for their character. Making sure unrealistic names become very unimmersive for themselves and not only for other players. Also it would encourage namechanges which would mean more money for the server Additional information:
  18. I think it should work like this, /me etc should have a large range on the server side but on the client side it should restrict to the field of view. So you actually have to be looking at the scene, either via Camera or Player Heading - or both. Basically how you do this is send a position with every /me etc to the all the clients. Then the clients raycasts that position and if its in view, it gets shown in the chatbox.. I think it should work similar with nametags but thats a whole other story. Either way it should work well, because even if a player is standing right behind you preparing to knife you, the camera raycast would still pickup that /me because its third person. also if you index all the /me by position in a hashtable you can start doing queries so if you visit a crimescene, you no longer have to do /do what do i see, you can lookup the /me's in that position based on a certain timer
  19. How is that a loss? They only have to namechange. They dont lose any assets besides social
