  6. Could you attach a picture of the extra room?
  7. Local flooding a couple of times per year sounds like a good roleplay opportunity, but it should be kept short (maximum 2 hours) because it would become tedious. Either way +1 if this is possible.
  8. Inauguration attendees soaked as rain spoils the event KASPER KARTOWSKI The swearing-in begins just prior to the rainstorm. (Kasper Kartowski/LSNN) The inauguration of district councilors occurred Sunday afternoon at City Hall, where candidates who were elected took the oath of office. The event was stifled when rain clouds appeared overhead, leading to attendees being soaked in water. An unfortunate spoiler in an otherwise monumental day for the city. Attendees are soaked in rainwater, with about a third having left due to the downpour. (Kasper Kartowski/LSNN) As the rainstorm came through, many attendees opted to leave early, while a few dignitaries and keen citizens stayed for an afterparty indoors. Hopefully, the rain will pass and a new era can usher in smoothly for Los Santos, with the swearing in of the councilors today. Stay tuned to LSNN for the latest updates on the Mayoral elections. 10. In his speech, Valencia stated: "This dream of building a stronger community began with my father Antonio Valencia. He was a businessman who gave back to our community in hopes of establishing a better future for our district. Unfortunately, he passed before he could see his dream become a reality. His dream became mine, and with this opportunity, I will make sure his legacy is completed. As many of you already know, although I'm a representative of the Democratic Party, I am first, and foremost a representative of the people of Los Santos, and with this in mind, I will fight in the council to make certain that our people are listened to and represented as a priority. Thank you all once more!" Valencia's win is a gamechanger in this election. Both parties have fared well, garnering three seats each, amounting to the six total. As a result of the Democrats' Eastern District win, city hall will be evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. As for the Mayoral election, we will have to see once they are scheduled. Apologies for that confusion.
  11. LSNN PROJECTION George Valencia receives 36 votes and wins the Eastern District election. Thomas Busch receives 20 votes.
  12. Attendees have been given a few minutes for a lunch break, before results for the Eastern District come in. Stay tuned.
  13. Accepting his win, Mr. Spencer states: "I'm truly honored to be here tonight. Honor may not be the best choice of words, but it is something I truly feel right now. Serving the residents of the Northern district will be a challenge, but it is nothing that we can't overcome. About a month ago, Mr. Singh and I threw our hats into the ring. We both put great effort into our campaigns, but it was ultimately up to the people of the North to pick their representative." He adds, "I do not intend to let my constituents down. I will make good on my word and stop at nothing until my word is upheld. I ask you to not judge me now, but by my accomplishments when my term is up. Then, we will see how I benefited the city. If there will be a challenge that we can over come, we shall, of course we can, right? Thank you everybody."
  14. A surprising and likely important win for Republicans is the Northern District. It can make or break the power structures at City Hall. Mr. Spencer's win is definitely monumental for the GOP's power in city hall, whether or not they win government tonight.
  15. LSNN PROJECTION Jonathan Spencer receives 39 votes and wins the Northern District election. Manjot Singh receives 25 votes.
  16. In an unconventional way to start his acceptance speech, Wallace Abbasi begins by saying "Firstly, praises be to Allah." The room appeared to go silent momentarily, before he continued: "I see this as approval and the okay to get to work. I'd like to thank the party, my party. The Dems. Riley King, watch out for her, she's going to be great. Finally, to all of the young guys from Davis, Jamestown, The Hills. Thank you. I'll make this up to you, we're gonna see change."
  17. LSNN PROJECTION Wallace Abbasi receives 34 votes and wins the Southern District election. Jose Ortiz receives 30 votes.
  18. Walking up on stage, Tanya Sun has a smile on her face. She gives the following acceptance statement: "Well, what a race this has been! There are so many people to thank. First and foremost, my thanks go out to you-- our community in the West. From Vespucci, to Little Seoul, all the way to Little Armenia. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. When I first entered this race, I had a clear idea for how this would.. all go. Los Santos has a way of changing the best laid plans. But, that's.. her charm. That's what we love about her. When I first came to this city? She took me in." She continues, "In Little Seoul, I found a home. A family. Friends. In the West, I found diversity -- united by its uniqueness. Words.. cannot begin to express how honored I am, that you fought for me during this election. I promise to do the same for you now." She thanks her opponent.
